CHAPTER 3 Poked Butt.

With a plop, she landed on the lash leaves ontop of the tree which was a canopy bed killing her scream that instant. Eyes shut tightly, she peeled one eye after the other open realising she hadn't crushed to the ground but a soft place and she was standing. The deep green eyes hidden behind her unruly red locks thanks to the fall looked around carefully and all she could see was the vast green....also, she was up..ontop of a tree and for miles, beyond what her eyes could see, were trees only . With a sigh, at least she hadn't shuttered into smithereens and besides, she was a good climber so she could get down just fine. A soft gust of wind blew throwing her hair out of her face exposing her oval face with chubby cheeks that were flushed. A shiver ran down her spine from the cold breeze but that was far beyond her concerns right now. Having not taken a closer look at her body initially, she let out another series of screams when she realised she was stark naked. "MY CLOTHES!!!!" she screamed startling the birds out of their homes in the silent forest.

With both her hands pretty occupied covering not only her chest and lady parts, she continued to look around and since it was midday, she felt pretty exposed being like this. The sun too was scorching hot and she needed to get out of it before she suffered a heat stroke. Looking at where she stood since she hadn't attempted to move even a single step, she realised the trees here had extremely large leaves but she did not have what to tie the leaves together with to cover herself.

Helpless, she squatted and plucked one leaf with great effort and tried it on her body but it çould only cover half way her body vertically. If she needed to make something to cover her modesty, she'd need vines. "Fine!" she groaned irritatedly and decided to first get down. Testing out, the canopy of this tree was rather sturdy and she literally had to force herself through to get to the branches that led down. With leaves pricking at her procelain white skin, she was covered in red marks by the time she found the main branch of the tree which also had pretty sturdy other branches that held the canopy.

Such trees would be popular...how come the government didn't know about them! Incase of plane crashes, the passengers would just jump off and land on such life savers. Lost in her thoughts, loud screeches of birds drew her attention and then the howling and growling made her skin crawl. Was she in the Amazon! Naked!!!! What bad fate!!! How did she even get here in the first place!!!!??? She didn't want to think about this in the meantime as she'd only scare herself the more. So she followed the saying....'do and you'll think later!' That was the law of the jungle!

The overly excited beastmen could finally see the tree where the supposed female had fallen to. Even her scent which was foreign gradually wafted in the air further confirming their speculations. It was the furthest part of their territory and it has been confirmed that all the females back in the city were present. This only meant that the female who fell from the sky was a blessing from their god! They couldn't wait to get their hands on her! All the single males knew that with her presence, magic would happen, their ranks would rise and if they saved her...they'd have the right to mate with her.... after all, the gods had sent her to them!

With no idea about the plans that were being drafted for her, Sydney listened out carefully for more sounds but they all seemed to have died down. Probably, they had been passing eagles or hawks or vultures!!... she gulped pitying her eyeballs! She wasn't going to let herself die and be eaten by wild animals. With a deep breathe, she carefully descend from the top most part of the tree, already uncomfortable from being naked but she was lucky that when she looked down which was more than a hundred feet, there were still branches with fairly dense leaves so she didn't feel too exposed.

At the bottom of the 1000 year old tree.

Transforming into a prominent male with a wide chest that was covered in markings, he looked up and squinted his gaze. A sweet female scent was prominent on this exact tree but she could be anywhere since none had caught sight of her. "Are you sure she's here?!" the man asked no one in particular and all the anticipating male beasts shot displeased glares his way. Shawn was also a single male but he had been in charge of getting the city lord a female and all females that had been brought in for the past three seasons had been kept inside the main castle in the city. Many had been displeased but with less power to fight and the rules that kept the city running, they could only swallow the displeasure and either find other females or wait for heaven to send one like it did.

"OUCH!!!" Sydney let out a pained cry when a sharp branch fiercely poked at her butt. One, she couldn't let go of the branch she was holding and her tushi stung real bad!!

Hearing a cry from the tree, it was confirmed that the female was indeed up there but then worry etched on the males faces when they smelt the fresh scent of blood. She's injured! "Someone climb up and get her!" A beastman said painfully. He was a bear and his climbing abilities was close to zero due to his enormous body and besides, this tree was tall that it touched the sky and too sturdy to break down. If they were reckless, the female ontop might become afraid and not want any of them so they had to be extra careful as they thought on how to get her out of there scratch free!

The flying beastmen were also no different in puzzlement as the female was perfectly hidden in the tree canopy. They had to turn into their human forms to access the tree easily but there was a fight on which tribe of the flying beastmen was to go in and get her! Since the city witch had proclaimed that she was sent by the gods, all clans clearly had a right to bring forth a male from them to mate with her but the first clan to lay hands on her had utter authority over her well-being and protection which was now the problem as all wanted that authority more than anything!

Grabbing a branch with one hand which was already red with a few cuts, Sydney used the other to check her butt only to see that it was bleeding. Blood attracted wild beasts...she needed to be careful! She looked below where she was going to place her foot and found another branch and continued descending.

A few feet below Sydney, a still figure who had been coiled on the tree trunk to the point of adapting the trunks colour for decades now moved slightly. For years, he had been on this tree undisturbed after pushing himself into hibernation but today which had been like any other silent day in the forest, a female's scream disturbed his sweet rest but knowing that males from the beast city would come rushing to her aid upon her cry, he didn't attempt to move but now, he was rethinking his decision. His home was surrounded by at least thirty beastmen from below and others were flying above...this was his territory and they were invading it?! How brazen!!!

The pained cry from the female made him frown and without a choice, he opened his ice golden eyes and looked up where the cry came from. Flicking out his tongue, he caught her scent mixed with fresh blood but not only that. The female above him was naked and he could see...well, everything that was there for him to see? Why? Was she mating with her males while in the sky hence being naked?! But she had no scent of males on her....was she one without a male?! His interest was piqued and he lazily lurched his equally golden scaled body further up to get a closer look at the female.

Mumbling silent curses as she went down slowly ignoring her painful butt but being more careful, Sydney yawned a little and her stomach growled in hunger. "When I get down ..I'm surely going to eat a hippo!" she declared and continued her journey down despite being in her birth suit

Listening to her speak, her voice was really beautiful and soothing of course, aside from the extremely colourful words she muttered under her breathe, hearing how she planned to eat a hippo that was ten times her size, he couldn't help but snicker in utter speechlessness and disbelief....this female!!!

A drawling hiss sound drew Sydney's attention, the hairs in her skin stood on edge as she looked around and above her. It wasn't long before she caught the figure that just let out that sound. She had hoped for it to be a small snake she could kick off but seeing an enormous, gigantic golden snake that was twice the size of the tree trunk she was hugging, she was unable to express her fear, terror and shock that she lost consciousness the next second her grip failing her as she went tumbling down.
