1 Beautiful Stars

"You're beautiful." He said holding my face.

"Can I stay here?" I asked. "Forever?"

He laughed before leaning in and...

"Kiley." Mom paused and stood concerned for me.

"Everything will be okay." I said, snapping out of the daydream. "Or maybe I heard you wrong."

This world is a world full of fantasy and mystery. It's not the same as you usually hear. This story is my story, an unusual theme.

"Granny's gone." I said, my face resting on my palm, as I glared out the car window. "You broke up with Dad." I continued. "I just learned that my classmates hate me, and now you're grounding me from exploring."

One of the things that I really enjoyed doing was exploring Granny's property. It had a very mysterious vibe to it, and it was beautiful. Trees of all kinds with flowers growing at their trunks, pretty much filled the entire property. Except for the small field, and the tall cabin in the center of the field.

"I have to keep you safe from-" Mom started.

"This world?" I responded, lifting my chin up to glare at Mom instead. "It's all fantasy and magic creatures, you can't take that away."

"I know." Mom said, stopping at the red light then looking me in the eyes through the rear view mirror. "That property is a lot more dangerous. Experts say that there's a portal, a portal with the special ability to not only take you to where magic original was found, but the ability to play with the mind through dreams. Daydreams and all."

I rolled my eyes and slumped into the car seat.

"They think that's what happened to Granny." Mom spoke.

"Oh, a portal took her into a different realm? I have crossed ever inch of that property, and I have never seen a portal." I waved my arms around as I talked, before crossing them and setting myself in my original seating position.

"That's not all it." Mom continued to try to convince me that my beloved land was cursed. "There are other things, confirmed sightings. Grandma wanted to live there because of all of the magic and mystery. It was only a matter of time before she got caught."

"Like what?" I asked, a bit more curious.
