29 CONTRACT MARRIAGE

Abigail woke up to the bright lighting in the hospital room. She blinked her eyes severally as she tried to adjust to the room lights, she then looked round and noticed that she was on the bed.

She noticed the IV drip on her hand and a sigh escaped her lips, she then looked to her side and noticed the young man that had his eyes on her the whole time.

He didn't say anything and just kept looking at her with his grey eyes, he had his long sleeve rolled up to his elbow and the two first buttons in his shirt were opened.

He had that early morning look with his disheveled hair at the side as his eyes never left her face.

"Why did you take me to the hospital?, I'm not sick" Abigail said as she tried to stand up from the bed but was stopped by Xavier's words.

"Stay still" He said with a voice that gave no room for further discussion.
