Beastly Mates

Madoc and Zayeden Ferreire both hail from the Crimson Lunar Tribe. They are 19 years old. They are the unknown males that will become Sachi’s mate. They are the strongest males born in the last three hundred years. Their mating is the key to helping unite all the tribes in a massive unification that will benefit them all. As identical twins, made from one egg, they are a naturally occurring clone, therefore they are one. Sachi Bennion is the daughter of the Sanguine Lunar Tribe. The youngest of the Alpha's children. She is the only daughter born with the alpha birthright. And not just any birthright, she is the special alpha. A tragedy happens and she dies, but has her body taken over by the Sachi from the future. Sachi was just an ordinary girl that worked in the fashion industry, along with her best friend. She dies in a horrible car accident, but not before Selene the Lunar Queen offers her the chance to step into her special alphas place. Sachi agrees and wakes up on the riverbank, badly injured from the ride in the water. Now she must keep her promise to the original Sachi to help her find her mates and fulfill the destiny that Selene the Lunar Queen has laid out for her. With the disappointment Selene has faced in her children, she sends the twins and Sachi to help reteach her children the proper ways of the werewolf people. Far to many are trying to take on the attributes of the humans and their mother is not pleased. Excerpt from the story: Original Sachi Bennion: "PLEASE, please, I beg of you, to avenge me." Sachi Bennion: "Who? Who are you? Are you speaking to… me?" Original Sachi Bennion: "Yes, yes I am. Please, please avenge me. I was supposed to be paired to one of the men from the Crimson Tribe with any luck. As you have seen from some of my memories, I will not see that particular possibility unfold." Sachi Bennion: "What would you like me to do? In my original world, I was nothing more than a clothing designer. Basically, a tailor that designed the outfits. I have no skills in fighting or how to be a leader. How will I manage such a feat? Hell, my only other possible skill is the fact that I studied herbology as a hobby." Original Sachi Bennion: "Do not worry so much on that front, I will leave with you all my skills and fighting knowledge of this world. That way, you will not be so lost. Be sure to make use of those skills and train hard as you will surely need them to help you for the task to come. When my mate is found, you will be among the strongest female alphas in the whole tribe. Finding him will unlock us both completely, then we will be able to transform. That is part of why I was killed by them. Jealously!! Fucking jealousy! I cannot let things stand. It is to be my duty to help rule whatever tribe I am mated to. I refuse to let them get away with taking my role that I was groomed for my whole life. It is UNFORGIVABLE!! I beg of you; make them all pay for what they have done." Sachi Bennion: "I understand, I shall do my best to avenge you. I promise to help figure out which one actually pushed you in and I will make them pay. I always keep my vows to people. This I will do since you have died unnecessarily with such grievance. Those who cannot respect family and traditions have no rights to speak of in my opinion."

About the Author:

Growing up, I had it kind of rough, as the oldest of five sisters, being a built-in babysitter gave me a lot of time to get lost in my imagination. Being abused most of my childhood life, story writing helped me to deal with a lot. I have always been particularly good with English and at creative writings. While in school, it was one of my main escapes due to certain circumstances at home. I had written several stories as a teenager and always hoped to get them published, but as we all know, life happens when you are trying to plan. So, now that I am in my forties, I still try to write as much as I can, despite the fact that I am severely epileptic due to the abuse, I never let it slow me down any. I try to write every day, but there are those times when it is harder than others. After all, my medical issues do tend to get in the way some. I spend my time writing mainly fictional stories of things I could only dream about. I only hope my writing brings a smile to those who read them.

Prologue

The sound of what appeared to be heavy rain falling was all that could be heard, pouring down like the sound of thousands of fountains. Unsure of where she was, she listened desperately for any signs of vehicles or people. Becoming increasingly worried at this concept of uncertainty, she strained in vain to open her eyes. The odd feeling of soft sand and rock under her face and body made her wonder where she was. Her eyes fluttered slightly as she opened them up long enough to see that she was at the bottom of a river at the base of a small waterfall. Her faint thought, "that explains the odd noise I am hearing". Sachi was going in and out of consciousness at this point. It was as if there were two different people there, but due to the pain, she ignored the extremely odd feeling for now as she tried to maintain. The last thing Sachi remembered clearly was dying in a horrible car accident. Traveling with a friend, they were heading back home after watching a movie at the local theater. It had been one of the top movies at the time and they just had to see it despite the fact that they had an early morning meeting at the fashion company they worked for. They were going to show the new line out of this fall seasons clothes. Things in the big city could get extremely cutthroat, especially in France when there is more than one design label that is always competing. . At the age of thirty-one, she had put her carrier ahead of anything else, thus giving her group the edge needed. As she sat in the passenger seat going over possible strategies in her head for their morning proposal, a bus ran through the intersection hitting her side of the car, pinning them between the bus and a center divider that separated the road's sides.

The light at the intersection had just turned green, giving them the right of way. So, for such a tragedy to occur, the bus must have had faulty brakes. She dared not speculate on other possible causes of mechanical failure as those alternatives did not seem pleasant either. Sachi only remembered the impact of the bus hitting them, feeling the overwhelming pain of bones being broke as part of the car's door and dash broke free impaling part of her abdomen and limbs. The bus's front end clearly wrapping around part of the front end of their car. But with the center divider clearly making the driver's side forming a v shape. There was no real way to tell how bad the overall damage actually was as a whole. The sounds of people screaming should have been all she could hear, but for whatever reason, she did not even pay attention to that detail. Her friend most likely lay dead next to her, but she heard no sounds coming from her. Her last vision she remembered before waking up faintly here to the sound of that water falling, was straining to see if her friend was alive or dead before passing out from the blood loss and pain. Her only thought, "are we going to be okay?"

For some reason, one she could not understand, there was not a single sound of what she was familiar with. No cars to be heard, no sirens, helicopters, or emergency first response vehicles; nothing to indicate that she was in the city anymore. She should have been hearing, at the very least, the voices of thousands of people from the streets, but nothing of that sort was even heard. She began to get an uneasy feeling as it was not normal for such a large city in France to have no noise. Finally, she managed to get her eyes to open once again, even a little, she looked up as she seen a woman, she was not familiar with, was putting a cool wet rag on her forehead as she wiped parts of her arms and legs down with a sponge and warm water. The clear smell of antiseptic of some kind filling her nose as it was being mixed by someone else, she could not see in the room. She struggled desperately to move her head in any direction as it surged with large amounts of overwhelming pain; she hurt all over as sharp pains filled her limbs. She wanted to scream from the pain but could not seem to find her voice. It was as if she had fairly big rocks inside her, though none of her bones seemed to be broken, it did not stop the feeling that they were, perhaps they were severely bruised. That could account for the added pain. One of her many thoughts, "thankfully I know a lot of herbology, I will be able to tend to a lot of my own wounds later". But that semi pleasant thought was drowned out by the increasing amounts of pain. Sachi contorted her face as she held down the urge to scream out loud; lightly biting at her own bottom lip. The feeling of a wet cloth being draped across her forehead once again as it had been rinsed and reapplied. The soft sounds of the unfamiliar female crying softly was all she heard as she felt the warm feel of water and a sponge drag across her skin once again.

Bruises and abrasions were spread all over her body as if she had fallen down a steep hillside of some sort and hit everything on the way down. Though she was unsure of what exactly. Memories then flooded her mind in mass that did not appear to be her own. Perplexed by what was going on, the flood of memories seemed to be coming faster as she tried to make sense of it all. Astonished, she and the original body owner ironically shared the same name, first and last. Pushing that surprised thought to the side, she squeezed her already shut eyes even tighter as she tried to make sense of the memories now opening like a broken flood gate. Concentrating as best she could, she tried to make sense of the events flashing through her mind, it would hopefully give her an idea of who or what event had done harm to her person. Or at the very least, what kind of era she was living in.

In her vast memory, the original owner of the body was part of the Sanguine Lunar Tribe. As the youngest daughter of the head family, her wolf was present but had not yet made itself known. In this world, the mate destined for each tribe member would fully bring the wolf out in each other. Till that time, they had the strength of the wolf and the vision but could not transform till they were mated. Once they found each other, they would then both shift to their wolf forms. But so far, all the males that were available to mate up in their home village had not been her match to her parents' dismay. In this world, the attraction to the destined mate would be an uncontrollable instinct, upon reaching their eighteenth birthday. Nothing could stop this attraction, if both were in close enough proximity to each other, nothing could keep them from meeting. Thus, she would walk the rivers alone while she waited for any sign that the outside villages would be sending their unmated males at her families' request. It was a great way to kill time at the very least, and she always used this method to clear her thoughts. Besides, she always enjoyed the view near the little waterfall anyway.

Sending someone with a message to the neighboring areas was the method they used most. Most times if a carrier bird was used, it tended to get killed by a more powerful animal, thus sending someone was just easier and faster. This specific method of family's sending requests could be used in turn on each village, but the original Sachi had suggested that they do a mass gathering of all the tribes non mated members to make it easier to find each other's mates. She even suggested that they make an annual thing of it. Making basically a specific mating day of sorts. Her parents took it under severe consideration but had yet to make a decision concerning the idea. Next to show up was supposed to be several males from the Crimson Lunar Tribe that was about two days walk away. They were supposed to show up within the next two full moons cycles depending on how well their tribe's circumstances permitted. Her parents were hopeful that her mate might possibly be one of these men. After all, as the closest tribe next to theirs, they were great allies to them. Their hopes were quite high this time, with the way things were going, it was only a hope that they had to keep strong. Till then, her parents were going to put forth the next set of invites as a backup if the mate were not among these three or four. That was the max that could be spared without causing too much of a burden on the protection factor of the tribes. Sachi hoped they would make a decision on her suggestion sooner rather than later, but that was fine for now. She more than understood how her parents thought by now, there was no severe hurry though. But when this news was found out by one of her older siblings or possibly cousins, they grew extremely jealous as they had a severe fondness for one of the unmated males that would be showing up. They did not seem to understand the mating process, despite being older than Sachi was. Something about trying to meet someone before mated properly always ends in failure. Thus, most never bothered, it was just too much of a hassle.
