It's Me (Part 1)

=Most of the students at St. Angela High School were live in the school. Some of the students who live outside the school will go to the south gate, and those who commuted from outside the school like Riley took the north gate.

The north gate was firmly closed, and the security guard at the school gate hadn't arrived yet.

Riley checked the time for the nth time.

8:52 AM.

Only 28 minutes remained until the assembly time for the St. Angela High School special admission exam at 9:20 AM.

Except for Riley and Fire Dog, there was no one in sight at the north gate of the School.

Riley couldn't resist a tired yawn.

If he known it, he should slept a bit longer before...

8:58 AM.

Eight black dots appeared in the sky, getting closer from afar, and eventually landed at the north gate, raising a cloud of dust on the ground.

Riley struggled to open his drowsy eyes.

They were eight Brellurker, each with a wingspan of about 2 meters.

Their entire body, were completely black with yellow colored beak and feet, they had distinct red crests on its chest, and long curling feather tails that making them easy to identify.

Six men and two women disembarked from the eight Brellurker, all appearing to be around Riley's age.

"Hello, it'll be 8,000 League Coins in total," one of the men on the back of an Brellurker said.

"We signed up for the group rate," a girl with a red headband pleaded anxiously.

The man exchanged glances with his companions, and asked if this was the case.

His companion nodded and said, "Yes, I signed up for the group rate."

"In that case, it's 7,222 League Coins," the man stated.

"Can you give us a better discount? We might call you again when we're heading back," the tallest among the six boys asked.

"Let's settle this payment first," the man didn't provide a direct answer.

Since they had come this far, they naturally paid up.

Once the money was handed over, the tallest boy inquired again, "How much of a discount can we get if we call you later?"

"No discount," the man replied.

"What?" The tallest boy was puzzled.

"No discount," the man answer him again.

The group collectively responded, "..."

...

While the group of people was discussing and making transactions, Riley and Fire Dog had already entered St. Angela High School.

At exactly 9:00 AM, the uncle gatekeeper came out from the school to open the gate.

It seems like he's quiet punctual about his working hours...

Following the route given on St. Angela High School's official website, Riley arrived at Field 3.

There were only four teachers present, and it seemed like they didn't attach much importance to this special admission competition, unlike Enchantia No. 6 Beast Tamer High School.

"Teacher, I'm here for the exam," Riley said as he approached.

"Identification card," Brian replied concisely.

Riley pulled out his identification card and handed it over.

"Riley, from Aspertia Middle School?" Brian checked the card and the information.

"Yes," Riley confirmed.

Brian marked a checkmark next to Riley's name on the paper and said, "Sit over there and wait until everyone arrives." He then handed back the identification card.

As Riley moved to the side, Minston said with interest, "This boy actually made a contract with a Fire Dog."

"People who awaken independently often think highly of themselves. It's not unusual to contract a difficult-to-control Spirit Beast as their first contract. The guy we secured admission for, Dominic, even contracted a Draguana," Gary replied nonchalantly.

Minston rolled her eyes secretly.

Can they even be compared?

The temperament of a Draguana is not much better to that Fire Dog. It's just that because its a dragon-type Spirit Beasts, their price is very expensive and not many people can contract them.

One person contracts a Fire Dog based on courage, while another contracts a Draguana based on financial ability. How can they be the same?
