50 I'm 24! I'm not into a minor nor a man! (Part 2)

Engaging in any illicit activity on a public bus usually involved either personal gain or harassment.

Whatever it was, it would have made Fire Dog lose its scent immediately, and the female student would have noticed something if her body was touched.

It wasn't about harassment.

So, it had to be about personal gain.

"Did you lose something?" Riley turned to the female student and asked.

The female student paused, then started checking her bag and pockets. After a couple of seconds, she exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, my phone is missing!"

As expected, Riley thought to himself.

People on the bus, seeing this, began checking their belongings as well.

"My phone is missing too!"

"So is my wallet!"

"And the necklace I bought for my girlfriend is gone!"

"My height-increasing insoles are gone too!!!"

"My Spirit Beast's Sasa Berry is gone!!!"

With this check, about one-third of the people on the bus realized their belongings were missing.

Riley keenly observed that those who reporting their missing items were concentrated in the middle of the bus.

He looked at the square-faced man, confirming his suspicions.

The square-faced man, noticing Riley's gaze, had an extremely unpleasant expression on his face. He clenched his teeth and said, "My phone is missing too!"

Riley just looked at him, and he continued, "Oh my... I can't be separated from my Spirit Beast even for a moment..."

Coincidentally, at that moment, a loud ringtone sounded from the square-faced man's body.

The man fell silent.

All eyes turned towards him.

The square-faced man awkwardly chuckled and said, "Turns out it was still on me. I just didn't find it earlier."

Riley asked, "You're a Beast Tamer, aren't you?"

The square-faced man's expression darkened, and he hadn't decided how to respond.

"He is! He's wearing a Beast Tamer's badge!" the female student, who had noticed the man's odd behavior, excitedly exclaimed.

Beast Tamers registered with the League were provided with corresponding badges. For instance, an F-rank Beast Tamer's badge had a white base with the League emblem on top, along with an F symbol.

Some people liked to wear them, while others didn't. Those who didn't were typically lower-ranked Beast Tamers.

The square-faced man was prominently wearing a gray E-rank Beast Tamer badge, indicating that he had at least two Intermediate level Spirit Beasts.

"Would you mind showing us your Spirit Beasts?" Riley asked politely.

The square-faced man wanted to refuse, but everyone's eyes were fixed on him.

"Show us your Spirit Beasts!"

"Yeah, what are you afraid of?"

"Weren't you being arrogant just now? Hurry up show us."

"Is there something embarrassing about your Spirit Beasts?"

The square-faced man's complexion grew worse, his already pinched features seemed to squeeze even closer, and sweat made his gray vest cling to his body.

Just when he didn't know how to respond...

"The Bluelight Station has arrived. Passengers, please prepare to disembark from the back door with your belongings."

The voice of the electronic station announcer rang out.

The bus door opened.
