11 Changing Houses (Part 3)

Without a strong physical constitution, few new Beast Tamers would dared to contract it.

Riley couldn't make a decision after reading all this information. Each of these five Spirit Beasts had its own disadvantages, but their affordability and safe evolution paths were undeniable advantages.

In the end, it came down to money.

Riley got up and left his room.

His mother was sitting on the couch, watching TV.

Riley said, "Mom, do we have 1 million? I want to buy a Medibell."

"Get lost."

"Okay!"

Riley returned to his room and continued browsing the forum.

...

["Is it safe for a D-level Beast Tamer to go to Baciu Forest?"]

["Got a Kittom on my second visit at Spirit Beast Gambling Store. Come and absorb some luck!"]

...

In addition to buying Spirit Beasts at the Spirit Beast Breeding Bases, there were various other ways to obtain them, such as through the Black Market, Spirit Beast Gambling Store, or searching for contractable Spirit Beasts in the wild.

Spirit Beasts obtained from the Black Market had unknown origins, but if you had the money, they could find a way to get you almost any type of Spirit Beast.

Spirit Beast Gambling Store was a matter of luck, and one could easily lose everything in the process.

Searching for contractable Beasts in the wild was something only Beast Tamers of at least D-level or higher would attempt. The wilderness was dangerous, and even if you managed to contract a Spirit Beast, they were not easy to raise and train obediently.

None of these three options were viable for him at the moment.

Riley sighed. While he had many ideas, his choices were indeed limited.

...

...

It was 8:26 PM.

Riley closed his computer and was surprised to see the time. His mother hadn't called him for dinner yet. Was she really angry?

He decided to go to the living room to check. Just as he got up, feeling a bit anxious, he grabbed a copy of from the bookshelf.

He opened the bedroom door, but the living room was completely dark as no one had turned on the lights.

His mother was nowhere to be seen.

Riley pondered for a moment and confirmed that his mother wasn't in the bedroom either.

He turned on the lights in the living room, casually tossed the onto the sofa, and then took out a box of matcha ice cream from the fridge.

As he opened the ice cream, intending to watch TV while eating, he heard a sound.

The door had opened.

Riley turned his head, and their eyes met.

"..."

There was a brief silence in the air.

"Come eat," His mother raised an eyebrow and placed the food she had bought on the dining table.

So, she had gone out to buy food...

"I'm coming," Riley replied. He looked at the half-eaten matcha ice cream in his hand and, in adherence to his principle of not wasting food, took another bite.

"Mom, why did you go out to buy food today?" Riley approached the dining table.

"I had some errands to run, didn't have time to cook, so I picked up something on the way," his mother explained.

Riley asked, "What kind of errands?"
