All eyes were on them as they entered the grandiose ballroom. The interior of the room sparkled with intense light, so much so that Kiera thought she stepped into another world entirely. Sam smiled lustrously when their names were announced.

"Announcing the arrival of Prince Samvel and his partner Beast General Kiera." The humans still thought of Kiera as the Beast General, unaware of the recent change of ranks within the Beast Army.

Sam had told her to expect the whispers but not even she could have anticipated the wave of reactions that flowed through the crowd below. Her ears could pick out snippets of conversation as they descended the stairs to the ballroom floor.

"So it's true. The prince's latest conquest is that monstrous woman."
