Chapter 5

Yuna woke up, her empty room once again greeting her. She sighed as she hopped out of bed. She was supposed to meet Kenji at that art museum and wanted to be early so they could get a head start before a crowd starts to overrun the place. Yuna reached for the bathroom as she looked up into the mirror. Her pink disheveled hair and her puffy blue eyes reflected towards Yuna.

Yuna softly chuckled at herself, knowing that her wild sleeping caused her unruly look. She grabbed her toothbrush and squirted a slap of toothpaste. Yuna turned on the sink, took the brush, and ran it through the water. She softly shook the extra water off of her brush. She started to brush her teeth, suds foaming from the corner of her mouth. She spat out her spit and cupped some water in her hands and took a sip to refresh her mouth. After a good teeth-brushing session, she sat with her vanity brush in hand. Yuna took her soft pink hair and brushed it between her fingers. She strokes many pieces of her hair, straightening it out, and is now able to style it. She set the brush down as she took two side pieces of her hair and clipped it together with a blue bow.

Yuna took out a long white dress and some sneakers to hide under the dress. She grabbed her belongings and headed out the door. Yuna put on her mask and sunglasses, even though the weather was cool and cloudy. She draws attention rather than derives from it. She once again meets her chauffeur and greets him. "Hello, sir!" She greets him. The man smiled as he opened the car door for her. She sits inside, pulling out her phone and clicking on her messages. She opens up the last few messages exchanged between her and Kenji.

"Are you there yet?"

"Yeah, almost."

"Great, I'll be there in a few!"

Yuna tucked away her phone as she rested her arm near the windshield, her head on her arm. Yuna closed her eyes as she thought about what would happen at the museum. She was hoping to see her new friend Lydia. Even though it was only just one time and talking to her over the phone, she enjoyed her company. She loves her sense of humor and her attentiveness. Yuna could feel herself smile at the thought.

Yuna walked into the gallery, paintings with vibrant colors greeting her. She walks slowly admiring everything around her. Poetry stood tall and glorious as the people who made these structures. "Oh, YuYu!" Kenji softly exclaimed, waving his hand in the air. Yuna smiled as she walked toward him. "Hey, darling! How are you?" Kenji pleaded. "Just fine, woke up looking like I've been stranded on an island for half of myself. But other than that, I'm perfectly fine!" Yuna joked. Kenji smiled at her, then turned to the art that stood and hung against the wall. The two walked up to a painting, a woman holding another woman. Their eyes clash with each other as they look at each other with tears of some sort. Yuna couldn't help but see the beauty in the painting, she loved it. "Why are they crying?" Kenji asked Yuna. "I don't know. Maybe it's because something happened or maybe they're happy?" Yuna answered Kenji.

Kenji and Yuna moved on to the next piece of art. "Hey Yuna I'll be honest with you, you seem like you're in a daze right now." Yuna furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Me? In a daze? I don't see it.." Kenji softly laughed as he pointed to a sculpture with its chest out. "Haha..boobies.." He pointed out. "Be quiet! Stop acting like a middle school boy, besides you don't even like boobs.." Yuna reprimanded. Kenji giggled, "True." The two enter an empty room with four paintings hanging around and a bench centered in the middle with a girl sitting in the middle of the room. "Eh..this seems boring.." Kenji complained. "Then why did you come here?"

"Not interested in this type of art, nothing that I want to buy. I'm going back to the boobie statue." Kenji groaned. Yuna rolled her eyes at Kenji's immaturity. Another thing that Yuna never understood about him is his short attention span and his decision on how to deal with it. Ever since she met Kenji, his attention has always been short, and can never focus on something that wasn't shopping or music. Yuna shook her head and walked into the room. The girl was holding a sketchbook, her pencil pouch filled with art supplies. Her red hoodie covered her head, her hands moving a mile a minute on the paper. She was facing a painting of a woman with Victorian-era clothes, her bun covered with pearls. Her soft pink lips popped from the canvas.

Yuna came closer to the girl, sitting next to her. "Beautiful isn't it?" The girl looked up at Yuna, her hazel eyes looking into her ocean blue eyes. The girl flipped over her hoodie, showing her dark ginger hair. "Definitely!" She said Yuna looked at her for a while. "Remember me?" She asked.

"Lydia?!" She said flinching back. Lydia laughed at her silliness. "I-I didn't expect you to be here!" Yuna stuttered. Yuna laughed again and put down her art equipment and looked at Yuna. Yuna could feel her face flushing red once more. "So what are you doing here Yuna?" Lydia asked. "I'm here with my friend, but he's a bit immature so he left me here," Yuna explained. "Was he looking at that boogie statue?" Lydia interrogated. Yuna chuckled a little, "Yeah that one. Hey, how'd you know it down the hall?"

"I work here, I'm just here because I like to study these paintings rather than showing everyone them." Lydia laughed to herself. "May I see it?" Lydia handed Yuna her sketchbook. There were only guidelines and a finished eye of the woman that hung in front of them. "Oh sorry for interrupting your drawing, you're not finished!" Yuna apologized. "It's fine, I don't have intentions of finishing it anyways!" Lydia lied. She wanted to finish it, but her attention was focused on Yuna. The two sat together in silence as they both admired the painting. "I've been thinking about Lydia, I wanted to ask you something," Yuna uttered. Lydia hummed as her eyes looked down on the girl. Yuna blushed as she looked down to the ground, "I've been thinking about settling down here..maybe we could, or like..uhm help me find a new house?" Lydia smiled at Yuna, and unconsciously put her hand on Yuna's thigh. "Of course! There are so many venues and fun places here! Not to mention nice houses, penthouses, and condos!"

Yuna felt her body warm up as Lydia's hand remained on her thigh. Lydia looked down at her hand, realizing where her hand was. "Oh, sorry.." The two flinched their heads away from each other. "So, uhm…what type do you want to meet?" Lydia asked sheepishly. "Around 3 pm Tuesday would be fine.." Lydia smiles as she rises from her seat, cleaning her area with her art supplies with her. "I have to go, I have to study for a final for the year test." Yuna sulked and pouted. "Aw! Don't pout Yuna! You'll see me next time! I'll text you after I'm finished studying, okay?" Yuna blushed extra hard. She didn't realize she was pouting. "Yeah! I-I'll see you later!" Lydia walked away, leaving a flustered Yuna in the empty room. The sound of footsteps came closer to Yuna. She turned around and she saw Kenji beaming at her. "What?" Yuna marked.

"So that's THEE Lydia?!" He exclaimed. "Uh yeah? What about her?" Kenji squealed loudly, his hands on her shoulder. "SHE'S SOOOO HOT?! SHE KIND, SWEET? LOVELY?! SHE'S FOR YOU!!!" Kenji howled. Yuna blushed as she pushed Kenji's hand off her shoulders. "Calm down! Please...I barely know her. Though you're right about the sweet and lovely part." Kenji rolled his eyes, "And the hot part, I've seen you drool over that girl!" Kenji sat next to Yuna, replacing Lydia's spot. Yuna sighed as she squeezed the nape of her nose. Getting a headache from Kenji's nagging. "You love me!" He wasn't lying, Yuna loves Kenji like a little brother. "Anyways, I looked at the boobie statue and I found dick statues, so that was fun!" Kenji bantered. Yuna furrowed her eyebrows at Kenji. "You're really stupid Kenji, that's enough let's go.." Yuna got up and took Kenji's wrist and dragged him out of the room. "Hey! Careful! These wrists are award-winning!" Yuna growled, "Nobody wants your damn wrists!" Kenji wiggled and wriggled in Yuna's restrain. "Come on you immature man-child!" Yuna spat. Kenji pouted and continued to be dragged to their car and chauffeur. "Miss Yuna..? May I ask why you are dragging Mister Kenji..?" The chauffeur asked timidly. "Please, for the love of god get me and this overgrown child away from this place!" Yuna warned. "She's hurting my award-winning wrists!"

"For the last time, your wrists! Nobody wants them! Nobody!"
