The night was cold and icy just like her heart which had no life and love left inside, was his thought. He couldn't resist himself from jumping off the cliff into the deep dark waters, even though he does not know what awaits him. His tears were the proof of his deep love for the cynical woman. He greatly regretted the decision for falling in love with her for he had enough with this world.

He was rejected by his woman for another man and how could he live in the world, where he was just a spare for her. He decided to end it once and for all, as he neared the end of the cliff. He could see nothing but the darkness everywhere. The sky appeared without any stars just like his life without any meaning and the moon was nowhere to be seen. It was a very eerie place and his decision has finally been made, that he should end his life.

Standing at the edge , he looked into the water which his grandmother used to say had magical powers but it was an old wives tale now. Thinking about the woman he loved, they jumped into the dark water from the cliff and deep down they drowned into the unseen. Wait a minute "THEY" and yes "they".

There was a phantasm along with him the whole time, trying to console and convince him from what he was about to do. As she had already left the human world, he could not sense her presence at the moment. So he did not jump from the cliff alone but with her. Just like the old tale said, the water was magical and since a phantasm wanted to save him, he could see, hear, touch and speak with her. She saved him almost at the last minute and took him to a nearby shore.

Once he recovered, he was totally disappointed, as even death too did not want him. He came out from his thoughts finally when he sensed an eerie laughter near him not in a haunting way though but in a friendly one. His heart came out the moment he witnessed a phantasm next to him and started to run away from her.

She indeed followed him but could not reach him as she was blind and could only sense him with his voice, touch or heartbeat. He tried to control his breath but in vain as she already found him. She tried to reason out with him at the very least and said she just wanted to be friends with him. Since she was the one to save his life, he accepted with terms and conditions, especially never to touch or haunt him.

He could see that she was a very beautiful woman once but now looked very dull and dirty. "Why did you save me?" He asked for which she said"I want to go to the afterlife without any regrets my friend. Will you help me?" she requested. As he was a person who did not have any trusted friends in his life, he didn't find any harm in helping her as a ghost has no reason to betray a human. Furthermore it is she who needs help and not him.

And so the friendship between a human and phantasm started at that magical moment. But who is she? What does she want him to do? Why and how did she die? To know more answers travel with me.
