Transfer Student

I had the best sleep I've had in like forever last night. I woke with smiles and went down stairs to complete my morning chores.

Whistling "From now on am going to work out every morning to make sure my body is shape in case of any unforeseen circumstances, plus there's nothing wrong with being healthy" I said laughing.

"Morning Ayo" said Connor walking towards me. "You must have had a great night seeing you whistling" He said with a hearty laugh.

"You're right Connor" I simply replied.

"Well, you better share some of that happiness because I need some of it too" He said.

"Nah, you know what am going to keep it all to myself man" I said

"Not cool Bro" he said while acting like he was angry. "You know what keep it because am guessing you really need it". "Now let's finish up".

"Alright"

We finished our chores and ended up doing everyone else's chores, while talking.

"Did you guys just finish doing everything" said Spencer, he was our resident crybaby who's only Eleven years old smiling.

"You can thank Ayo" said Connor laughing. "I can't believe we just finished everyone's chores"

"Me too" I said.

"You guys better go take your bath because there's only an hour left before we're late and miss school bus" Spencer said.

"Ahh, see you" I said rushing upstairs to take my bath.

I finish taking my bath and get downstairs in time for breakfast before rushing out to get on the bus which just arrived.

The bus arrived at school fairly faster than usual, so I had time to run a lap around the school track since I was not able to work out before coming to school. I finish my little run and head to school building while the bell went off for first period.

I step into the class a minute before our homeroom teacher walks in with an entirely new student in tow.

"Silence, please I know it's kind of late seeing that we're halfway through the term but we have a Transfer Student" He said. "Please introduce yourself to everyone in the class".

"Hi, am Rayla Star" She said smiling. For a second my mind went blank, I mean as blank as a clean white napkin, she was stunning, her smile was mind-blowing for a second I could have sworn that the wind was blowing just to compliment her in that moment but the windows were still closed so it was impossible for there to be wind so I simply pushed it to the back of my mind.

She had jet black hair and skin that shined like it had been kissed by a sun god, I mean if you saw her you would be speechless with that golden-brown skin, jet black hair, while sporting black skinny jeans and black and white sneakers with a white short sleeved Shirt.

"Hope we can all be friends" she said causing all the other guys in the class to bust into an uproar. I finally snapped out of my little daydream.

Taking a deep breath to calm myself down, she looks around the class and our eyes met for a second, she smiled and I felt an electric shock right down my spine, not because I was in terrible danger like other times but rather because I was shy. I know why I was shy well I've never seen a girl as beautiful as her who spared more than a glance in my direction.

"Quiet down". "Well, I hope everyone tries their best to make her feel welcome here at Raven academy" said the Homeroom teacher.

"You wouldn't mind sitting next to Ayo at the Seat at the end of the class for today as that's the only available seat" he said. "Don't worry we'll make sure to provide you a good seat location in the coming days".

"No problem sir, thank you" said Rayla.

She walks in my direction, well not my direction rather her seat with her book in hand. Seeing her up close only made me speechless I mean how can someone be that beautiful.

"You're so beautiful" I said before realizing that I was just thinking out loud she was stunned before smiling and replying,

"Thank you" she replies her smile only getting more dazzling. "You don't look that bad with your cornrows" [right I forgot to tell you about Ayo's love for cornrows].

"Hi am Rayla"

"Am Ayo, nice to meet you" I said putting together all my thoughts.

"So, I guess we'll be seeing each other a lot right" she asked

"Of course, it's not every day we get a new transfer student such as yourself"

After seeing Rayla settled in our homeroom teacher left the class, the rest of the morning was pretty much the same as at every chance guys got to talk with Rayla they took it, it was starting to get a little annoying I wished I could drive them all away.

The bell for lunchbreak rang and I stood up and asked "Hey, Rayla it's lunchbreak do you want to go have lunch with me?" before she could reply the girls in the class were already pulling her to go have lunch with them so they could find out more about her.

I left to have lunch all alone as usual, I got to the cafeteria and found a table in a corner and sat down to have my lunch, she sat at the table at practically the middle of the cafeteria all the guys who usually chose not to have lunch in the cafeteria were there. I was not surprised as it was impossible for them not to have found out about the new beautiful transfer student.

After having my lunch, I went to the school gym to work out a little to keep my mind distracted. The bell for the end of lunchbreak rang so, I picked up my bag which I dropped at the side while I worked out. I left the school gym sweating, I didn't think I would work up a sweat in such a short period of time so I decided to take a shower in the locker room.

I missed the first period after lunchbreak, and when I walked inside the class the whole class was looking at me since I came back to class not only after missing a class but I came back putting on my gym shorts and shirt.

"Come on what happened this time Ayo?" said Jasper sarcastically.

I already guessed he was trying to impress Rayla while making me seem like a weirdo so I simply ignored him.

"Where were you Ayo?" asked Rayla.

I didn't know if I should tell because she might think of me as a weirdo. Thinking to myself "Well if she thinks you're a weirdo she won't be the first" I said to myself.

"Well, after I had lunch I went to the school gym to work out a little bit and ended up losing track of time and I got my shirt drenched in sweat so I had to put these on instead" I said smiling sheepishly.

"Who works out till they end up losing track of time when it's not PE class" she said laughing. "You sure are different from everyone else, I've got a feeling you and I are going to have a lot of fun together".

I was stunned for a second because of her smile and I found myself laughing with her "Yeah I think so too".

"Next time lets have lunch together" Rayla said.

The next class starts and the rest of the day was practically the best I had in while, so much so I forgot about the story of gods and demons which was slowly becoming a part of my life.
