ANOTHER MISSION

Knock knock

I was by my window side reading a book when I heard a knock on my door

"who is it" I said in a cold tone,

"it Gabriel your highness"

"what do you want"

"your father would like to see you sire"

"(sighs) I'll be there shortly".

I heard his footsteps fade in the corridor, then I placed the book down on the couch and headed for the throne room.

"you called for me father"

"yes I did, please walk with me"

I figured something was up, father only asks me to walk with him when he has a mission for me to accomplish.

"what mission do you have for me this time"

"I'm glad I don't have to say too much, anyways, I need you to protect a girl for me"

"well that's new"

"yes, it sure is different form your other missions, her name is Hazel, she is an Angel..."

"Angel?"

"yes Angel, she attends Angel High School"

"so I'm gonna go to school?"

"yes you are, your mission is to befriend her and help her control her powers so she be able to defend herself from evils lurking around her"

"what's so special about her by the way"

"I won't give odd any more information, just do as you are told"

"and yet another mystery mission, yes father, your wish is my command"

"when shall I leave"

"tomorrow, the principal will be expecting you"

"okay father"

"I'll Gabriel her file so you can further know what you're gonna deal with, you're dismissed"

"okay father"

I went back to my room and continued reading, I heard Gabriel approach my room.

"sire, it's Gabriel"

"come in"

He came in and handed to me the file which held all of Hazels information and left my room. I went through the file and discovered that Hazel is not just an Angel, she's also a demon, she's half breed. When my mother was still alive, she told me about a book she found about a danemeglon( half angel, half demon), I never thought I would ever come across one not to talk of train one, their species are very rare and wanted because of their powers, no wonder she needs protection, but I don't understand why father wants me to protect her, I can find out his motive from reading the book on danemeglons, but then I would have to visit the old Library when I go for my evening walk.

Latter that day, during my walk hour, I visited the library which contained two million books of ancient history about vampires, warewolves, angels and humans, after two hours of searching, I finally found what I was looking for, then I had a visitor.

"hey Alucard, I'm here again"

"so did you think of my request"

I ignored her and kept going through the book in my hands

" come on Alucard, don't tell me you're not at all moved by what you see"

Now I stopped what I was doing and turned to face Iris who wore a short black dress,

"seems you dressed up again"

"so you noticed" she said looking at the floor like she was reading something down there, her cheeks light red, not doubt, I ris is a pretty young woman and gat curves in the right places but I just wasn't interested,

"like I always say Iris, stop trying to impress me, I'm not interested"

I closed the book in my hands with a loud thud and headed for the door, I heard her scream from behind me,

"like I also always say, I'll never stop trying"

Maybe one day she'll get what she wants but right now, no.
