Chapter 6: Taki
They both walked to the restaurant without saying anything.
"Isn't Dreamland Restaurant the place you work." Hana broke the silence.
"Yeah, I'm exhausted that's why I didn't go to work today."
"Oh."
They reached the restaurant and sat at a free table.
Instead of waiting for a waiter, Yuki walked to the counter to order something. He saw one of his co-workers sitting behind the counter.
"Kinatarou-kun." The boy seating behind the counter was surprised to see Yuki, he had been called by Yuki and was told that he wasn't coming, but here he was.
"Ichi-san." Yuki said.
"I see you came with a girl, is she your date? Maybe she's the reason why you didn't come to work." Ichi started to tease Yuki while he stared at Hana who was sitting in silence at a table. "She's beautiful."
"She's my neighbor and not my date. I would like to order a bowl of ramen and a chocolate cake." Yuki was aware Hana liked the chocolate cake so he ordered it for her.
Ichi was too busy staring at Hana to listen. He was hypnotized by her beauty.
"Hey, stop staring and bring my order to my table." Yuki hit him on the head and said before walking away.
Yuki sat down across Hana. He sat down in a cross legged position like a monk.
"The food will be here soon." He informed her.
"That's good, I'm also a bit hungry."
They talked about lots of stuff before the food arrived.
Yuki had learned that Hana was staying alone with her aunt in their apartment, her parents had died when she was young and from what he noticed she wasn't a kizo user.
The waiters had brought their food, when Hana saw the chocolate cake her eyes lit up and she began to eat while Yuki ate his chocolate cake.
Hana who was staring at Yuki thought his eyes were amazing. Yuki's family had a bloodline if unique eyes and hair, this was because they were a family if kizo users. But because of his weakness he didn't have his unique eyes and hair. Even though this was the case his eyes were still amazing.
"Yuki." She called
"Mmm?" Yuki was too busy eating too look up at Hana.
"Your eyes, are you wearing contacts? cause they seem unreal." Hana said.
Yuki looked at her with his amazing eyes and smiled.
'Soooooo cute!!!!'
Hana praised Yuki in her mind.
"I'm actually a kizo user."
"Whaaaat!!!!? Why didn't you tell me this early?" A surprised expression appeared on her face.
"You never asked and I didn't think it was relevant, cause I'm extremely weak." He spoke before he continued to eat his ramen.
"Wow, a kizo user is my neighbor. What's your kizo?" Stars appeared in Hana's eyes.
"It's ice." He spoke through mouthfuls.
"Could you show me please?" Hana stopped eating and asked.
Yuki stopped, he still sat in a cross legged position and placed his clenched fist on the table. Hana stared at his fist with bright eyes.
He opened his fist and there was something resting on his palm. It was a diamond shaped piece of ice, although it wasn't a fancy use of his kizo, Hana was quite impressed and her eyes were gleaming.
"Wow, that's amazing." She said in what seemed to be a whisper.
She reached for it and actually held it for a second before quickly dropping it back in his palm.
"That's extremely cold." She said while rubbing both hands together.
It was natural for it to feel cold, she wasn't a kizo user. If she was a kizo user she could increase her body heat by 10°.
Yuki held her hand and placed it in her her palm, then wrapped his hand around her's.
"Those it still feel cold?" He asked and looked.
'Why is he touching my hand? My face is burning up. He's way too cute!!!'
Her face turned red and her mind was thrown into chaos.
"No, it feels a bit warmer." She managed to answer.
It became warmer because Yuki had reduced the ki he put into the diamond shaped ice.
He finally let go of her hand and crushed the piece of ice into pieces. He picked up his bowl and noticed it was empty, so he got up to get another one.
Hana who was now sitting alone was going into her mind palace.
'He touched my hand, his skin felt cold but it also felt warm. His touch was unique.'
*RING RING*
The sound of Yuki's phone ringing jerked Hana out of her mind palace. Yuki had dropped his phone on the table when he got up.
She picked up the phone which was still ringing and looked at it. It was Derek who was calling, Hana had no idea who Derek was because she had never met him before.
It stopped ringing, Yuki sat across Hana in the same crossed legged position and glanced at his phone which was in Hana's hand.
"It was ringing." She said and handed him a fork.
Yuki took the fork, examined it and asked "How does it ring?"
Apparently Hana was still shocked by Yuki touching her hand, so she accidentally handed him a fork instead of his phone.
"I...I meant your phone was ringing." She rephrased her sentence and handed him his phone.
"Ohh, thanks." He handed her the fork and took his phone.
He didn't call Derek, instead he continued eating while talking with Hana.
They left the restaurant and walked towards the apartment. They both walked in their respective apartment. Yuki fell on his bed and went to sleep because he was extremely tired.
Hana saw her aunt sitting in the dinning room. Her aunt noticed her.
"Hana, you're back. How was your date?" She teased.
"It wasn't a date!!!" Hana shouted with a red face.
Hana's aunt covered her mouth with her hand and laughed. She thought her niece's current expression was amusing.
"Aunt Yui, you should stop teasing me or I'll get angry." Hana added.
"But you should admit, he's really cute." Aunt Yui tried teasing Hana again.
"Yes he's really cute..... W.. Wait you're teasing me again!!" Hana's face turned even more red.
"Hehehe." Aunt Yui giggled before continuing. "Looks like you have a crush on him."
"No, I don't." She said and walked into her room.
Meanwhile Yuki was still asleep, he slept until the next morning. He was woken up by his alarm clock, he took a shower wore his uniform and walked to school. At the school gate he was greeted by Tamiko and Derek.
"I called you yesterday. Why didn't you answer?" Derek asked.
"Ohh, I was soo tired I forgot to call you back." Yuki scratched the back of his head and said.
"Why did you call me?" Yuki's expression turned to a confused one.
"Our class teacher was found dead in an abandoned warehouse." Derek's expression turned grave.
Yuki was having a hard time processing what he just heard. He looked at Tamiko and noticed that she had an expression which said. "I'm just as surprised as you."
"Wait..... Stop joking, you guys are trying to prank me.... Is this because I said both of you look good together?" Yuki thought they were just trying to trick him. "But you guys are fit for each other."
"We are not joking. What kind of person would joke about something like this?" Tamiko commented
"Okay, but how did you find out?" Yuki had believed them. He knew Derek would not lie about something like this, but he had just met Tamiko a three days ago when he transfered to this school. But he still chose to believe them.
"It's all over the news, it says he was tied up and his brains were blown out."
"So he was shot. Who's gonna teach us now?" Yuki asked.
"A new teacher who just started today." Tamiko answered.
They walked to class and sat at their desks. Moments later a female teacher walked in, she was beautiful, had short hair and she wore glasses. She also looked to be in her early twenties.
The class was thrown into chaos by her beauty. All the guys in the class were stunned. Yuki and Derek were busy
playing a game called mobile legends, so they didn't notice the teacher. They eventually put down their phones and looked up but they didn't even react the same way as the other boy's.
Tamiko was staring at them just in case they would react the same way as the other boys but the didn't. She was aware Derek wouldn't react but she wanted to see if Yuki would.
'It turns out that he's not a pervert, he is just like how Derek described him.'
Tamiko thought. She had heard stories of Yuki from Derek and she was even a bit eager to meet him.
"Hello everyone, my name is Taki Koda and I'm your new teacher." Teacher Taki introduced herself.
