146 Who The Hell Do You Think We Are?

Lordgenome POV - Earth?, Spiral Academy - ???

It's a new day at Spiral Academy, and today I'm going to have my first lecture of the year where I'm going to teach my class the subtle science and exact art that is genetic engineering.

While walking through the corridor leading to my class, I can't help but think, 'I hope that this year will be different from the others where I'm forced to teach youngsters way too stupid to successfully learn even the basics... or that at the very least there are some hot girls in my class, nothing beats the energy of a beautiful young girl "working" hard day and night to receive a "satisfying" grade in my subject.'

Finally, I walk into my assigned class, and after taking a quick look at the classroom and seeing that is packed full of students, I smirk and start the usual introduction, "Good morning, everyone. My name is Teppelin Lordgenome, for you all, Professor Teppelin."

After that, I tap the projector on my desk and the hologram of the very recognizable helix-shaped strand of human DNA appears hovering over the desk as I start to walk back and forth in front of the dest as I continue, "There will be no foolish playing with Gunmen or silly simulation fighting in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is genetic engineering. However, for those select few..."

At this point, I stare for a moment at a bombshell with long turquoise-colored hair and dark blue eyes covered by large round glasses, wearing the academy uniform that hugs her shapely body, and continue, "... Who possess, the predisposition... I can teach you how to empower the mind and enhance the senses. I can tell you how to make you faster, stronger, and even put a stopper in death."

Quickly after that, I take notice of a guy in the back row, he has a fairly average look, with short, somewhat spiky brown hair and little distinguishable features apart from his green eyes, moderately tall, quite slim, and muscular as he is scribbling something on his notebook, something about him thicks me off, so I move closer to him and change the tone my speech, "Then again, maybe some of you have come to Spiral Academy in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not pay attention!"

I now stand in front of him and looking down at him, I remember his name from the class roster and say, "Mister Taki... is scribbling random numbers on your notebook more important than my lecture?"

But then, I take a look at the numbers written in his notebook, and something about them seems to call me, so I focus on them and mutter, "1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144..."

Suddenly I have a strange feeling that something is seriously wrong and focus even more on the numbers, and from time to time, I glance back at the hologram of the helix-shaped strand of DNA.

At the same time, I feel my heart beating faster, and finally, I realize, "This is wrong... This isn't my reality... This isn't what I chose to be or even desire... I'm Lordgenome! Not a professor, I'm a Spiral Warrior!"

As I remember everything, I feel something appearing in my hand, and looking at it, I see a glowing Core Drill and not any Core Drill, but my Core Drill the one I destroyed many years ago when I fell into despair.

Then all of a sudden, the classroom disappears and in its place, there is only an empty field, but all around me, I can see all the infinite possibilities that still try to tempt me, a version of me that is the guardian of the universe, a happy family man, a famous athlete, a successful scientist, and many others kinds of what's ifs.

But I ignore them and lift my Core Drill, and soon the alternate realities converge onto myself, transforming my hand which holds the Core Drill into a giant drill, then my body starts to transform into parts of Lazengann until it transforms fully into Lazengann.

At this point, I yell, "Let's go, partner!" and urging the Spiral Power in my body I take the sky as I mutter, "Even if I was ready, I still fell for this trap for a while... Antispiral truly isn't an easy opponent."

Kittan POV - Earth? Bachika Village - ???

Another great day is expected for the mighty head of the Bachika Village, who after many battles was finally able to drive away the evil Beastmen and bring peace to the village and its surroundings, and more importantly, was able to keep his sisters and the other kids of the village safe.

Of course, that all-powerful village head is me, the great Kittan-sama, who now spends most of his time keeping the village secure, and enjoying the love and worship of the beauties of the village.

Laying on the bed, I look at the ceiling ignoring the heaps of naked bodies, and mutter, "Despiye living the perfect life, I feel that something is missing. Sure, I'm loved and respected by everyone, my sister, and safe and happy... But I still have the feeling that I'm forgetting something very important. Like something is missing and that thing creates some kind of void in my chest..."

As I keep searching for that something, all of a sudden, I hear a strangely familiar pulsing sound, and as soon as I hear it, I feel my heart speeding up, like the thing I'm searching for so much is just out there in front of me and I only have to reach out with my hand to grab it.

On instinct, I do just that and suddenly, my hands grab a small golden drill, and as soon as my eyes fall on it, I feel something in my head explode, and I instantly remember everything, at the same time, my surroundings disappear leaving behind one an empty plain.

Feeling a surge of power within me I lift the Core Drill pointing it at the sky and yell, "This is Simon's soul! Dai-Gurren Brigade's soul! Humanity's soul... and actually, it's MY SOUL! Do you seriously think this fake world would be able to trap the great Kittan-sama!?"

All around me I can see all the infinite possibilities that still try to tempt me into remaining in this place, but I ignore them and focus only on the Core Drill, and soon the alternate realities converge onto myself, transforming my hand into a Drill, then my body starts to transform into parts of King Kitta, until it transforms fully into King Kittan and I rush out of this place

Kamina POV - Earth?, Giha Village - ???

Finally, the day I was waiting and fearing came, today I'm finally about to become a father, right now my wife Yoko is working hard while the village handmaidens are doing everything possible to guarantee the safe delivery of the child.

While anxiously waiting for any kind of news, I look up and see the rocky ceiling above us and my mind starts to wander, 'How many times in the past have I wanted to go through that rocky ceiling and see the fabled surface once more? I tried and tried but I kept failing and in the end, I gave up once and for all realizing that it was impossible and that some things just aren't meant to be.'

Then I look back at the cave where Yoko is going through labor and think, 'Luckily soon after I met her, and we instantly fell for each other. Our love burned like a blazing fire and after a while, I decided to finally settle down and ask her to marry me. That was the happiest day of my life... at least until now. Now that I'm about to become a father, I feel like the luckiest man alive, but at the same time, I have some strange unsettling feeling in my chest... like something is seriously wrong... like I have something very important to do before I can really settle down. But no matter how much I think about it, that something continues to elude me.'

My thoughts are interrupted by a baby's cry coming from the cave and without hesitation, I rush inside and soon I see a tired but very happy Yoko holding a small child with a small tuff of pink hair on her little head.

Yoko looks at me and with a tired smile, she says, "Kamina, meet our daughter." and gives the small baby in her arms to me.

Holding that small bundle of happiness, I feel a rush of emotions, pride, joy, worry, and happiness all bundled together, and looking at her small green eyes, on instinct, I turn around and unconsciously yell out loud "Simon! The great Kamina-sama is finally a father! You just became an uncle!!"

But looking back I see no one, and soon after the strange sense of something being wrong grows stronger, and almost explodes when I hear Yoko's worried voice as she asks, "Dear... Who is this Simon?"

At the same time, I hear a strange familiar sound, like a pulse, calling me, and finally, I remember and mutter, "This is wrong... It isn't time yet... the path to their happiness isn't open yet. I can't stop now!"

At this point, everything around me changes and I find myself in an empty field, my newly born daughter in my arms is gone, but in her place, there is a familiar object, it is a Core Drill, just like the one that Simon and Jayr have.

Then I notice that all around me I can see all the infinite possibilities that still try to tempt me into remaining in this place, but I ignore most of them, until one catches my eyes, the sight of me bowing to some guard Beastmen with Simon watching behind me with a lost look on his face, and I instantly understand, that is the true Simon still trapped in this realm of infinite possibilities.

And so, I lift the Core Drill pointing it at the sky, and soon the alternate realities converge onto myself, transforming my hand into a Drill, then my body starts to transform into parts of Gurren until it transforms fully into Gurren.

At this point, I take off while yelling, "The great Kamina-sama won't be trapped by such what-ifs. It's time to go and help my ototou out of this place!"

Simon POV - Earth?, City Outskirt - ???

All around me, there is a desolate land of the City Outskirt, looking up, I see the oppressive gray clouds overhead that seem to suppress any kind of happy mood I had from our successful heist.

What I was fearing so much finally happened, the Beastmen police caught us red-handed with the stolen goods from our last heist, and now, I'm looking at Aniki as he kneels down begging them for forgiveness, "We're sorry! What we did was wrong! Forgive us! Okay? Look, I'm on my knees! Have mercy on us! What we did was wrong!"

At the same time, the feeling that something is truly wrong invades my whole being, and my heart starts to beat at a strange pace, I also hear a strangely familiar sound coming from the box behind me and give it a glance.

As I unconsciously touch the box with my hand and feel the somewhat familiar drill-like shape of the keyhole, Aniki continues to beg for forgiveness, "We'll do whatever you say! If you say to bow a million times, we'll do it! We're sorry, we're sorry, we're sorry, we're sorry! So please, don't kill us! Just spare our lives! We're sorry, we're sorry, forgive us!"

At the same time, I touch my chest feeling like something truly important is missing, when all of a sudden, I hear Aniki's voice coming from behind me as he asks, "What's the matter, Simon?"

Surprised, I turn around and see a totally different Aniki sitting on the box, he is way more confided with his red cape and katana resting on his shoulders, something about him seems to be able to calm me down.

Meanwhile, as I'm looking at him, with a confident smile, he asks, "You lose your drill?" confused, I can't help but mutter, "There's another Aniki..."

But the new Aniki yells, "Dumbass!" and stands up as he points his katana at the sky and declares, "The bad reputation of the Gurren Brigade echoes far and wide in Giha Village! Its badass leader is a man of indomitable spirit, a paragon of masculinity! As if there could be more than one of the mighty Kamina-sama!"

Hearing that, I nervously look at the two Anikis and mutter, "But there's two of you here."

The cool-looking Aniki then declares, "Exactly! Pick the one you prefer." making me exclaim, "But that's crazy!"

Cool Aniki then moves his face closer to mine and looking at me in the eyes he says, "Don't you remember? You are the one who is the method to my madness! The one who makes my big talk more than words! Your drill oughta be totally different from that pebble over there." and points at the other Aniki that is still begging for forgiveness.

Then he points at my chest and says, "Your drill is right here. You can't keep wasting time in here forever! What's that drill of yours meant to do?"

Hearing that, something clicks into my mind, and I can't help but ask, "Aniki? Is it really you?" but then the other Aniki grabs my shoulder and says, "Hey, what are you doing!?"

Then he pulls me onto the ground beside him and pushing my head down, he says, "Start bowing, too! Bow, beg, and scrape, and pretend to apologize. They'll turn a blind eye! We can get through this! If they let us go, we can always come up with something else! Look, just bow and apologize!"

But at this point, I tune him out as the only thought in my mind are the other Aniki's words, and so I mutter as I start to put power into my arms, "My... My drill is... My drill..."

Then I close my right hand into a fist and slam the fake Aniki in the face sending him flying, I yell, "... Is the drill that's gonna pierce the Heavens!" and quickly after I punch him once more, this time slamming him into the ground.

As Aniki jumps down from the box and walks next to me, I mutter, "My drill is my soul."

After that, I open my fist and find my Core Drill pulsing as it rests on my palm.

After that, I turn around without hesitation and insert the Core Drill into the box's keyhole, I turn the Core Drill opening the box which releases a bright beam of light that breaks the oppressive clouds overhead and changes the surroundings into an empty field.

Then I hear Aniki say, "Let's g-." but he is interrupted by another familiar voice coming from the opened box, this voice is a female one, and says, "Siiiiimoooon! I finally found you!"

The next instant, a girl jumps out of the box and hugs me, and surprised, I can't help but exclaim, "N-Nia!?" unconsciously hugging her back.

Soon we break our hug, and Nia starts explaining, "I'm so glad... Father already warned me that something like this could happen, and so when I first found myself in an unknown place I was easily able to recover my memories and realize that it was fake and was able to escape using this Core Drill that suddenly appeared"

As she told me that, she showed me the Core Drill in her hand which is almost identical to mine.

Quickly after that, she continues her story, "After that, I went through 5 other similar worlds but no matter how nice they were, all of them felt wrong as if they were full of fake people... Then I saw a bright green light in the sky, and I don't know how, but I somehow knew it was Kamina-san and so I followed after it."

After that, I calm down, and looking at Kamina I say with a tone full of confidence, "Aniki! Let's go!" to which he replies with, "Yosh! Let's bring everyone together!"

As soon as I decide to leave many alternative reality appears all around me, and I hear Nia gasp as she points in a certain direction while saying, "Ah! That one appeared to me too when I left the first fake world." glancing at the direction she is pointing, I notice the projection of an older version of myself holding a baby in its arms.

Seeing that, I let out an embarrassed cough, then I lift the Core Drill pointing it at the sky, and soon the alternate realities converge onto myself, transforming my hand into a Drill, then my body starts to transform into parts of Lagann, until it transforms fully into Lagann, at the same time, I notice that, Kamina became Gurren, and that Nia transformed into her Gunmen Solverina.

Kamina then yells, "Simon let's do it!" and instantly understanding what he means, I nod and Combine with him into Gurren Lagann then I pick up Solverina in a princess carry and take off, moving through the various illusory worlds to gather all the members of the Dai-Gurren Brigade, after a few minutes, we encounter Lazengann and King Kittan who are doing the same, then we all together focus on the Jayr's Spiral Power to find the way back to the Anti-Spiral Universe.

Jayr POV - Anti-Spiral Universe - 1007 AFA-SW

"YOU WIN!" the iconic voice declares as I beat the crap out of a team made up of Alisa Bosconovitch and Dr. Bosconovitch using my team made up of Marshall Law and Paul Phoenix while thinking, 'I may not be one of those people that knows everything about Tekken and its characters combo, but these characters have been my favorite since the late Tekken 2. There is no way that with them I would lose to a reality-warping being. But I have to admit that he was quite a hard foe.'

At the same time, Antispiral comments while casually holding the controller, "How fascinating... even if it is the first time I touch such object, I feel that I'm unexpectedly familiar with such form of entertainment..."

Before I could comment that the reason for that is probably because he is the physical manifestation of the Anti-Spiral tribe's consciousnesses and that very probably among them there were some gamers, I stop as I sense that everyone's Spiral Power is slowly rising, a clear sign that their consciousness is about to come back from the Extradimensional Labyrinth.

Feeling that, I instantly turn back the PS3 and the screen into Spiral Power and put back the game disc into my Soulbound Territory, then I tell to Antispiral, "Be prepared to be surprised..." and teleport back into Crater Gar's cockpit.

Soon after that, with a green flash, Antispiral finds itself surrounded by all the Gunmen in their base form, Lazengann piloted by Lordgenome and Guame, Gurren Lagann piloted by Simon and Kamina, King Kittan, Yoko M Tank, Solverina, Enkidudu, Sawzorthn, Mo-Shogun, Twinboekun, Einzer, Kidknuckle and further behind Cathedral Terra in its battleship form.

Seeing that, Antispiral says in shock, "Impossible. Sentient lifeforms can't possibly escape from an Extradimensional Labyrinth!"

In response, Lordgenome yells out, "Don't underestimate us!"

At the same time, through the communication channel I hear Guame's excited voice as he says, "We're gonna do it! We're gonna do it!!"

After Lordgenome, Kamina adds, "We don't care about time or space or extradimensional whatever. We don't give a damn about any of that." following Kamina's speech, Simon continues, "Force your way down a path you choose to take, and do it your way! That's how the Dai-Gurren Brigade rolls!"

At this point, everyone's Spiral Power spikes to unprecedented levels, and King Kittan, Yoko M Tank, Solverina, Enkidudu, Sawzorthn, Mo-Shogun, Twinboekun, Einzer, and Kidknuckle turn into bright beams of light that heads toward the Spiral Graveyard, more specifically toward the inactive mini-type Gunmen laying there.

Meanwhile, Gurren Lagann is engulfed by Arc-Gurren Lagann, while Lazengann is engulfed by Dekabutsu, and King Kittan by Space King Kittan as their Spiral Power spikes even more, and the Space Gunmen are then engulfed by a flame of Spiral Power that grows larger and larger each passing moment, and I notice that the same is happening to the now glowing Space Gunmen and Cathedral Terra in the distance.

In an instant 12 galaxy-size Gunmen are born towering over everything.

Nia's booming voice is heard as she starts the iconic speech, "Even when trapped by the cycle of rebirth..." followed by Yoko's voice, "...The dreams we left behind will open the door!"

Leeron then adds, "Even if the infinite universe stands in our way..." followed by Lordgenome who continues, "... And even if our souls will burn into oblivion..." and Viral ends the sentence with, "... The seething of our bonds will determine what will be!"

Kittan then starts the final verse, "With all our friends pushing us from behind..." followed by Kamina, "... And believing in ourselves and those beside us..."

Finally, Simon shouts out, "... We'll break through time and space..."

At this point all together they yell out loud, ""... To grab hold of our own path! Tengen Toppa Dai-Gurren Brigade!! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!!?"

Seeing this somewhat familiar and iconic scene in front of me, I can't help but feel chills running all over my body.

At the same time, I watch Antispiral as first it throws a glance in my direction, then it stares at the 12 Tengen Toppa Gunmen and says, "This is surprising. You materialized Spiral energy in this universe we created. I see no wonder you escaped the Extradimensional Labyrinth. No Spiral race has ever made it this far. Being exposed to such Spiral Power, it is no surprise that our messenger was freed before it could even activate. As you wish."

At this point, Antispiral is engulfed in a bright purple flame of Anti-Spiral Power and he starts to massively grow in size as mechanical parts start to form around his shadow-like figure, and as it forms Granzeboma, Antispiral says, "I will fight you on an even playing field, using the same form that you find such comfort in."

Meanwhile, while looking at the purple Anti-Spiral Power gushing out of Granzeboma, I can't help but notice something surprising, 'Holy shit! That isn't a normal Anti-Spiral Power. That is an Anti-Spiral Power that perfectly follows the pattern of the fucking Golden Spiral! A perfect rotation that grants infinite power. So that's why in the movie he was able to easily trash around all the Dai-Gurren Brigade in their Tengen Toppa Gunmen at least until Lordgenome sacrificed himself to turn the power of Antispiral's Infinity Big Bang Storm into infinite Spiral Power that was then absorbed by Simon and the others to form Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.'

After that, I turn my gaze back to the 12 Tengen Toppa Gunmen facing Granzeboma, most of them are the same as their movie version of course not counting Darry and Jimmy's unit as they are way too young and so were left behind on Earth.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann piloted by Simon and Kamin, Tengen Toppa Solvernia piloted by Nia, Tengen Toppa Enki Durga by Viral, Tengen Toppa Yoko W Tank by Yoko, Tengen Toppa Twinboekun by the twins Jorgun and Balinbow, Tengen Toppa Kidknuckle by Kid, Tengen Toppa Einsaurus by Iraak, Tengen Toppa Sawzorthn by Zorthy, Tengen Toppa Mo-Shogun by Makken, Tengen Toppa Dai-Gurren by Dayakka and the others, are all here.

But besides them, there is the addition of two new units, one is piloted by Kittan and draws its design from Kittan's original Gunmen, King Kittan, it is a predominantly yellow humanoid Gunmen whose design closely follows Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann illuminated by the storm of Spiral Power that burns continuously from its core only instead of having dragonic skull-like faces on its limbs it has King Kittan-likes one, and its abdominal mouth is clamped onto the Kiyalunga's head, his sister unit, instead of the Lazengann one that can be seen in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

The name of this unit is Tengen Toppa King Kittan.

The other unit is piloted by Lordgenome and Guame, and just like all the others, I closely resemble his original unit, Lazengann, it is a a predominantly black humanoid Gunmen that also follows a similar pattern of Tengen Toppa King Kittan and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, this unit is also illuminated by the storm of Spiral Power that burns continuously from its core, but different from the other two the face aren't on all the limbs, but on the shoulder parts and the legs.

Also different from the other two units, the faces displayed on its body are all different, in fact, it seems to honor the Gunmen of Lordgenome's generals, as the left leg face represents Byakou, Thymilph's personal Gunmen, the right leg face represents Gember, Guame's personal Gunmen, while the left shoulder face represents Shuzack, Cytomander's personal Gunmen, and the right shoulder face represents Sayrune, Adiane's personal Gunmen, meanwhile its abdominal mouth is clamped onto the Enki's head.

Of course, the name of this galaxy-sized Gunmen is Tengen Toppa Lazengann.

As I notice the similarities between Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Tengen Toppa Lazengann, and Tengen Toppa King Kittan, I also realize why their units are so different from the others, 'Lordgenome, Kamina, Simon, and surprisingly Kittan... different from all the others, they have fully awakened their Spiral Power that means that they can unleash even more power compared to them...'

Then just as the fight between them Granzeboma and Tengen Toppa Dai-Gurren Brigade is about to start, I start to unleash my Spiral Cosmo and yell out, "Wait a minute! Let me join the party!"
