A Dangerous Adult Level

I take a quick look at the surroundings and see that the fight between Galgomon, Renamon, and Guilmon did quite a number to this underground parking lot, well, most of the damage comes from the rampaging Galgomon as he fired with his mini-gun-like gauntlets all over the place making me internally sigh while thinking, 'It is very lucky that Galgomon's rampage didn't damage any of the foundations because he could have easily caused the whole underground parking lot to collapse on top of them...'
Then my gaze moves to the Digimon and I notice that Renamon has already retreated into the shadows standing close to Ruki, but its stance shows that it doesn't have any intention of continuing this fight, meanwhile, I see that Galgomon and Guilmon, who are stuck to the wall by Wormmon's Nebaneba Net, have both calmed down.
At this point, Jianliang recovers from his surprise and asks, "Pucci-sensei why are you...?" but then he notices Wormmon crawling up my body and resting on my shoulder and his eyes widen in surprise, while Takato who also recovered from his initial shock, exclaims while pointing at Wormmon, "W-Wormmon!? Pucci-sensei are you a Tamer too!?
Hearing that, I smile and honestly reply to both their question, "To answer your first question. I'm here because I saw Guilmon and you running on the street and knew you were up to something, so I chased after you from the distance as I wanted to make sure that you and your Digimon were safe, but I didn't want to interfere unless absolutely necessary."
Then I pat Wormmon's head and say, "Regarding your second question. Yes, I'm a Tamer too, and this cute little buddle of power is one of my Digimon Partners, Wormmon."
As I introduce him, Wormmon, who until now had his eyes closed as he enjoyed my patting technique, opens his eyes, nods, and says, "Nice to meet you all."
While Takato and Jianliang are too focused on greeting Wormmon back, I look at Ruki and ask, "Are you okay? Do you need some help?"
My words make Ruki snap out of her stupor, then she snorts, and without saying anything she starts to walk away with the hidden Renamon following behind her, and seeing that, I simply shake my head while thinking, 'Sometimes that girl is too proud for her own good... Well, at least she is a very strong girl, it is clear that the actions of the out-of-control Galgomon scared her, especially when it was about to attack her, but despite that experience, she is able to quickly recover her spirit and move on with confidence...'
While thinking that, I look back at my students and say, "Well, I think it is time for you guys to leave this place, after all, you caused quite a bit of a mess here... of course, your partners should also leave..."
As I'm saying that, Wormmon immediately understands my intentions and instantly opens his mouth and yells, "Silk Thread!" shooting out stiff threads that are as thin as a silk thread but as pointed and sharp as a needle toward the still stuck Galgomon and Guilmon that cut open the Nebaneba Net that was binding them, making the now calm Galgomon and Guilmon return to their Tamers' sides.
Before Jianliang and Takato can say anything else, I quickly command, "This isn't the time to talk, go! And remember to do your homework!" making the group of four quickly run away from the partially destroyed underground parking lot.
After they are gone, I look around to check if there are cameras while muttering, "Should I fix this mess?" but after thinking about it for a few seconds, I shrug my shoulders and say, "In the end, the damage isn't all that expensive. Just 5 cars were destroyed and part of the ceiling collapsed, even if I don't do anything it should be fairly easy to fix this for normal people... But I would still feel bad for the people who have to deal with the insurance and all that endless bureaucracy, especially since I can fix this in a couple of seconds and I don't have to worry about erasing evidence since there are no cameras."
Coming to that conclusion, I don't hesitate to manipulate my Spiral Cosmo to cast the spell Tetragrammaton, a Restoration magic variant, which restores all destruction regardless of whether it was organic or inorganic matter, and watch as all the damage caused by the fight between the three Digimon quickly fixes itself as the time of those objects rewinds itself bringing them back to the previous state.
Done with that, I send Wormmon back into my Soulbound Territory and walk out of the underground parking lot to get back to my bike, and once there, I ride it back home.
Once I'm back in my house, I head to the training area to train and during the warm-up exercises, I focus a little of my Cosmic Awareness on Takato, Jianliang, Ruki, and their Digimon to check if they are all fine and perceive that Takato is now back home, Guilmon is sleeping in its hideout, Jianliang is waiting for Galgomon to devolve back to Terriermon, and Ruki is brooding over her "loss" against Galgomon while Renamon watches over her.

After another calm day at school where I simply had to teach a couple of 6th Grade classes, I'm sitting on my bike that is still parked in the parking space reserved for the school staff while thinking, 'Strangely neither Takato nor Jianliang tried to talk with me... I thought that once they learned that I was a Tamer like them they would have tried to find more information... Oh well, when they will feel ready to do so or they need some help, I will be there for them.'
But just as I'm about to put on my helmet, I sense something and can't help but let out a groan while muttering, "What the...? Another Digital Field!? With this it is three consecutive days that Digital Fields are opening all over the world! Truly now that the main "plot" of this universe started trouble just keep appearing one after the other..."
I focus more on the Digital Field that is about to open and notice that it is actually moving around, moreover, it is actually chasing after something, and with a little more concentration, I realize that this Digital Field is actually chasing after Jianliang and Terriermon.
Realizing that, I put on my helmet, start my bike's engine and quickly drive my bike to check on them, and ensure their safety.
I arrive just in time to see the Digital Field actually opening as the usual thick fog expands and envelopes the location, surprise, surprise, it is another construction site.
I get off my bike and simply walk into the thick fog, and also inside the building that is still under construction.
Once on the other side of the fog, I'm greeted with the sight of a bipedal, muscular gorilla-like Digimon with white fur and blue eyes as it stares down at Lee, Terriermon, Takato, and Guilmon from a metal scaffolding.
The Digimon has black skin on its face, chest, hand, right arm, and feet, and it wears several belts on its left thigh, its right arm is mechanized, connected to its flesh with cables, this right arm leads down to the "Energy Cannon" that replaces its right hand, if I remember well, the name of this Digimon is Gorimon, and it is actually connected with Terriermon.

As Gorimon is staring down at them, I hear Takato reading the information of the Digimon on the image projected by his D-Ark's Digimon Analyzer function, "Gorimon. Adult Level. A Power Digimon endowed with the arm strength to crush anything and the leg strength to crush things underfoot no matter how hard they are. However, it surprises the opponent with light movements that aren't expected from its physique and seizes the opportunity to add to the attack with the Energy Cannon on its right hand. It found its aesthetic in "Hit and Away". Its Special Move "Power Attack" is super-powerful."
At the same time, Terriermon comments, "Well, well, if it isn't Gorimon!" confirming my theory about the connection between Gorimon and Terriermon.
But before Terriermon could say anything else, Gorimon grabs a steel bar and throws it toward Terriermon forcing the smaller Digimon to dodge.
Seeing that, Jianliang runs forward while yelling, "Stop it, Gorimon! You remember me, don't you? Don't you recognize me?!" but in response Gorimon only beats its chest and roar making Jianliang yell as he continues to try to communicate with it, "Leave Terriermon alone! He won't fight you anymore!"
Hearing that, Takato can't help but ask, "What? What happened between the two of you, Lee-kun?" but Jianliang continues to focus on trying to persuade Gorimon as he yells, "Go back to the other side!"
Right at this moment, Guilmon jumps toward the scaffolding on top of which Gorimon is standing, but at the same time, Gorimon jumps down kicking Guilmon in the face sending it crashing back on the ground then Gorimon calmly lands in front of it.
Guilmon immediately gets up and tackles Gorimon, who counters with a monkey flip that sends Guilmon crashing against a nearby pillar, but then Guilmon quickly recovers his bearing by doing a handstand that makes Guilmon happily exclaims, "Guilmon did a handstand!" before he loses its balance and falls on the ground.
At the same time, Takato, Jianliang, and Terriermon run up an incomplete set of stairs to get away from the fighting area and get a better look at the situation but seeing that, I can't help but shake my head while thinking, 'That isn't a good choice on their part... they basically limited their freedom of movement to a much smaller area and even made themselves an easier target, after all, Gorimon has a freaking cannon in place of its right hand for the love of my Goddess wife!'
Suddenly, Terriermon stops and looks back declaring, "All right, it's my turn!" but soon Jianliang stops him, "No!" making Terriermon look back at its Tamer and ask, "Why not? He wants to fight, so why can't I?"
In response to Terriermon's question, Jianliang asks back, "Do you want to go back to acting like a wild beast so much?" making Terriermon stutter, "But... But..." and confusing Takato who asks, "What happened?"
But right at this moment, Gorimon takes its focus away from Guilmon and aims at Jianliang and Takato with its Energy Cannon, luckily, just as it is about to shoot, Terriermon also notices the danger and quickly jumps down the stairs using its long ears to soar toward Gorimon while yelling, "Watch out!" then it slaps Gorimon's face with its ear with enough force to stun Gorimon and make it step back
At the same time, Gorimon also fires its beam but because of Terriermon's timely attack, it misses its mark while Takato with his quick reflexes pushes himself and Jianliang to the ground.
Quickly after that, Terriermon does not hesitate to use one of its techniques, "Blazing Fire!" spewing out a volley of superheated air like a machine gun hitting Gorimon first on the right knee and then in the face making Gorimon writhe in pain.
Seeing that, Jianlang still lying on the floor yells "Stop it, Terriermon!" making his Partner Digimon look back at him and say, "You used to keep pushing me to fight back then, Jian!"
Hearing that, Jianlang is shocked as he opens his eyes wide and stands up while Takato again asks, "What happened?"
At the same time, I look at Jianlang and sigh while thinking, 'Knowing his history, I can understand the motive behind his wish to stop Terriermon and other Digimon from fighting. After all, Jianlang became a Tamer after receiving an American Digimon computer game from his father. He chose Terriermon as his partner and playing the game he helped it evolve into Galgomon to defeat a Gorimon who went on a rampage, but Galgomon went on a rampage as well and hurt himself. Though he tried to convince himself that his father was right and Digimon was just data, Jianliang began to cry as he realized he hurt his partner. This caused a Blue Card to appear with the help of the DigiGnomes, which Jianliang then swiped through his card reader, turning it into a D-Ark. With that, the exhausted Terriermon materialized in Jianlinag's arms. At the same time, he realized that he had hurt many real Digimon throughout the game, and so he promised Terriermon that he would never make him battle again. But he must learn that sometimes fighting is necessary especially if he wants to protect the things he cares for... and this fight with Gorimon will be a big step forward in learning this lesson.'
While I think that, the fight between Gorimon, Guilmon, and Terriermon goes on with Gorimon having a clear advantage over the other two Digimon thanks to his superior physical strength.
Seeing the ferocity with which Gorimon manhandles both Guimon and Terriermon, Jianliang can't help but mutter as his past experience resurfaces, "This is just like that time! That time when..." but then he shouts, "Terriermon!" as he notices Gorimon throwing Terriermon away after swinging it around while holding it from its ear only for Guilmon to catch it just in time.
At the same time, Takato runs down the stairs while holding a steel bar and yelling, "Guilmon don't give up!" but Gorimon quickly fires a precise energy beam from its Energy Cannon that erases the steel bar in Takato's hands from existence making Takato rush up the stair in panic while Guilmon once again tackles Gorimon while yelling, "Don't you hurt Takato!"
Back to Jianliang's side, Takato takes out both his D-Ark and cards from his pockets, and looking at them he mutters, "There must be something I can do... That's right, the cards! Power Percentage Up! Devil Chip! Card Slash!"
At the same time, he swipes the card in the slot on the right-hand side of his D-Ark empowering Guilmon who gets up and opens his mouth calling out the name of its Special Move, "Fireba-!" but before it could unleash the attack, Gorimon throws a bag of concrete into Guilmon's mouth, stopping his attack and making Guilmon bite down the bag that breaks under the force of its bite sending the concrete powder flying around.
Seeing that, Takato starts to panic, "No good... What do we do? What do we do!? That's right! Evolution! If Terriermon evolves into Galgomon... Lee-kun make him evolve!"
But Jianliang remains firm on his stance, "I won't make him evolve!" making Takato ask, "Why not?!" but Jianliang remains in silence as his mind once again wanders back, very likely thinking about the time he realized that Digimon are actually living beings.
But soon, the fight between Gorimon, Guilmon, and Terriermon makes him snap out while Takato continues to try to convince him, "Come on, Lee-kun. Evolution is our only choice left! If Terriermon doesn't evolve, they both will be killed!"
Jianliang remains firm in his decision and says, "No, there has to be another way." but Takato, who is now totally out of ideas, replies, "There isn't! There is not much I can do with the rest of my cards."
Jianlinag doesn't give up yet and says, "No, there has to be a way! There has to-" but suddenly stops as he notices one of the cards in Takato's hand and exclaims, "That's it!"
Confused, Takato asks, "This one?" Jianliang doesn't hesitate and grabs the card in a hurry saying, "Give it to me!"
Not understanding what Jianliang wants to do, Takato tries to explain, "But that's just a training card..." but Jianliang ignores Takato and calls out his partner, "Terriermon!"
Then he grabs both Takato's card and his D-Ark and yells, "Card Slash!" swipes the card in the slot on the right-hand side of his D-Ark and calls out the name of the card, "Training Gibs!"
Immediately Terriermon's ears are equipped with a pair of training gibs, making a surprised Takato comment, "Gibs on its ears? What's the use in that?"
But soon the answer reveals itself as Terriermon throws the gibs at Gorimon that bind its arms making it an easy target.
At the same time, Takato exclaims, "You're attaching them to Gorimon?" but then, seeing the restrained Gorimon, Takato realizes, "I see. The Training Gibs make it hard for it to move freely!"
At this point, Guilmon takes advantage of the opening to attack Gorimon with a chop that sends it crashing on the ground, and Terriermon follows after by spinning in place using its ears like a propeller to generate a tiny tornado, "Petit Twister!"
The tiny tornado envelopes Gorimon sending it flying high in the air until it smashes against the ceiling, then it crashes on the ground with even more force.
But even if the attack damages Gorimon, it isn't enough to put it out of combat as Gorimon slowly stands up, frees itself from the training gibs, and aims at the group with its Energy Cannon, but just before it can attack, Terriermon steps forward and fires a Blazing Fire into Gorimon's cannon, destroying the Digimon into motes of Data.
Terriermon then runs forward to load the Data, but Jianliang yells, "Wait. Terriermon, don't load his Data." making Terriermon calmly reply with an easy-going tone, "Well, okay, if you say so."
At the same time, I take advantage of this moment to use my Spiral Cosmo to purify and gather Gorimon's Data and use it to form a Digitama that I immediately send to the Village of Beginnings in my Soulbound Territory.
As soon as I complete this action, the Digital Field and the thick fog disperse without a trace leaving behind only the marks of the battle between Gorimon, Terriermon, and Guilmon.
Just as I'm about to walk away, I hear Takato ask, "What happened to him? Where did Gorimon's Data go?" making Jianliang reply, "It returned to the other side... I think."
Hearing that, I almost snort while thinking, 'Well, I'm sorry but its Data didn't go to the other side, and that is very likely for the best as it would have most likely turned into those data packets that fly around the Digital World... At least this way, Gorimon has a chance to live a peaceful and happy life.'
After thinking that, I walk back to my bike, jump on it, put on my helmet, and drive it back home.
As soon as I walk into my house, I'm greeted by my three Digimon Partners plus Bidi jumping on me as they hug, and land on my body while yelling, "Welcome back, Jayr!"
Hugging them back, I smile and say, "I'm back." then I calmly ask as give everyone the attention they deserve, "Did you guys have fun with Bidi?"
Wormmon and V-mon simply nod, while Patamon replies, "Yes! We played, trained, and watched Digimon Xros Wars together! And I have to say that Mervamon is HOT! She reached the Top 5 of my Personal list of hottest Digimon together with Bell Starmon, Angewomon, LadyDevimon, and Rosemon!" making V-mon and Wormmon groan.
But just as I'm about to ask for some more details about their day, I sense a Digital Field opening in another country, but that isn't what catches my attention the most, no, it is the fact that the Digimon that is realize at the moment has also a quite a malevolent presence which is a pretty clear indication of what damage could cause if left alone.
Realizing that I don't waste any time and say, "Guys. It seems that we have some work to do. An evil Digimon just realized in this world and I think it is better to stop it before it can harm some people."
Hearing that, V-mon, Wormmon, and Patamon all nod with a serious expression on their faces, as V-mon says, "We are ready, Jayr. Lead the way."
I look at Bidi and with a smile, I say, "We will be back soon..." before I don't waste any more time and simply teleport us to our destination.

Soon we appear in a familiar place that is completely enveloped in a thick fog, it is a very large plaza located directly in front of a big imposing basilica, surrounded by colossal Doric colonnades, four columns deep that frame the trapezoidal entrance to the basilica and the massive elliptical area which precedes it, at the center of the plaza stands an uninscribed Egyptian obelisk of red granite, 25.5 meters tall, supported on bronze lions and surmounted by the Chigi arms in bronze, in all 41 meter to the cross on its top, and the paving is varied by radiating lines in travertine, to relieve what might otherwise be a sea of setts.
With all these details it is pretty clear where we are, this is Saint Peter's Square, a large plaza located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, the papal enclave in Rome, directly west of the neighborhood (rione) of Borgo.
A place I'm quite familiar with as in my home universe I have visited it quite a few times, not only as a simple visitor because of my uncle Enrico Pucci, but also as Saint of Athena and ally of the Biblical God and the Church.
As I look around, I hear Wormmon comment, "This is quite eerie..." making me instantly notice that something isn't right, after all, at the moment in Japan is 18:20 PM which means that here in Italy 10:20 AM, quite a busy time of the morning, but despite that, there isn't a single sound around us, something quite impossible in such a location, considering the fact that it is a very popular and culturally important tourist spot and more importantly a famous place of pilgrimage and liturgical functions.
After all, the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican, or simply Saint Peter's Basilica is regarded as one of the holiest Catholic shrines which has been described as "holding a unique position in the Christian world", and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom."
The number of people visiting this place daily is staggering, so much quietness is very much impossible.
But as soon as I truly focus on my surroundings, I realize the reason behind such an atmosphere.
It is because all the people around us are simply standing still in place with a blank expressions on their faces and empty eyes, what is worse is that a constant stream of negative energy is leaving their bodies and gathering all in a singular direction.
As I quickly notice that detail, I hear Patamon mutter, "Oh my...! Why this one? This will surely be a tough fight..." followed by V-mon who excitedly says, "Finally a worthy opponent who isn't Agumon!"
At the same time, I follow the stream of negative energy back to the point where it is gathering and see a Digimon proudly standing on top of the obelisk and mutter, "Devimon..."
Devimon is a humanoid Digimon that draws inspiration from the mythological Devil and evil in general.
It has completely black clothing, fingers elongated into claws, devil's horns, tattered wings, and skulls on its shoulder and knee.
It also has the deep red Mark of Evil on its chest and on its left boot and wears belts around its lower torso, left leg, right upper arm, and left forearm, gauze bandages around its right forearm and left hand, and a skin-tight balaclava that only reveals its mouth and red eyes.

While looking at it, I calmly use my D-Ark's Digimon Analyzer function and soon, the image of Devimon is projected by the D-Ark with all the information, and then I read them out loud, "Devimon. Adult level. A Fallen Angel Digimon whose body is clad in jet-black cloth. Although it was originally a shining Angemon-species Digimon, by falling to the Dark Area, which exists in a spatial distortion of the Digital World, it became a fallen angel. As proof of that, the Mark of Evil surfaced dramatically on its chest. It has a cunning and fiendish personality, but it also possesses an outstanding intellect. It is said that those who have stared into its two eyes, which shine a deep crimson, are mind-controlled and completely dominated by Devimon. Its Special Move "Death Claw" is extending both of its extensible arms and enforcing its will on the opponent's body."
Soon after I finished reading that, Devimon chuckled and said, "Hehehe... Welcome to my new feeding ground. Your presence is greatly appreciated. After such a delicious meal I do feel the need for a little dessert. Your Data will be perfect for that maybe it will even push me to the Ultimate Level... I feel it, it is close, so close that I just need to reach with my hands a little to grasp it."
