Sparks emerged out of the skirmish between the sword and the bat's baton.
Batman kicked the dark figure, who rolled down till the back of the hangar. Autopilot mode reengaged automatically.
Han Xiao looked him dead straight while standing up, both of them observing the other for any sudden advance.
Han Xiao sneered at Batman as they both assumed a high guard, and threw an overhand cut. The Dark knight parried quickly, reflexively. Han Xiao cut from the other side, and Batman again parried.
With the next cut, the Hand ninja threw his hands up, and parried high, with his point towards Batman's face. In his pleasure at his success, he nearly missed the moment to thrust, but thrust he did. Batman, somewhat taken back, leapt backwards, slapping Han's blade aside. Han Xiao did not fight the blow, but turned the deflection into a mulinet and cut at the caped crusader's head.
The Batman had a major handicap, wielding a weaker weapon, that too a single one which shows its true use in dual-wielding techniques. He pulled his center of mass forward while taking his back to the back, kicking the oncoming thrusted sword upward.
The sword let itself out of Xiao's hand, stabbing in the hangar gate. The gate now opened. Air suction let the smaller pieces to fly outside. As the suction grew, Batman leapt to pack Neit into her seat with the seat belt.
"You took everything from me," he called, feinting. "You got me out of the US," he said, making a looping cut around Batman's incoming punch. "You got me humiliated.," he shouted, slamming the sword tip just a centimeter away from the Bat's neck, only to have it stuck in the thick steel body of the jet.
The Bat did not lose this opportunity, coiling himself against his opponent's neck to get a grip to work upon. His act receives success as the ninja hot himself unable to move, or speak. Tha Hangar still open, but due to articulate design of the Batwing, it was not much problem.
Batman had him into submission, waiting for his opponent to faint. Han Xiao realized his defeat was not far, so he used his trump card, one that was the signature ability of the Hand ninjas, but not without a drawback.
Han's body disappeared, black dusty smoke in its place, to make him reemerge a meter away from his place.
Huffing sound came from his side, signifying a major stamina loss from the action. Batman jumped to again take an offensive stance.
A sudden beeping alarm sound came from the cockpit, red light blinking vigorously.
Both of them had their attention diverted, only Batman to dive enter into the cockpit while Han followed while maintaining his vigilance.
Outside the plane, a small half a meter flying object, a hammer made its contact with the Batwing, making it detour from its course. The Batwing started losing its altitude fast, diving dead straight down into the air, towards the sea.
The passengers panicked, at least Neit did while sitting at the front of a crashing aircraft. Batman made him go forward while pulling himself up (relatively down) towards the plane's manual maneuvering systems.
Behind him Han followed, latching onto Batman's foot somehow. With his concealed blade, tried to cut off Batman from the behind.
Batman's armor however did not allow penetration from a smalltime knife. The blade fixed into the steel body of the plane got itself free due to the plane's momentum and shaking, and got itself in the hands of its owner.
Han caught the blade with all his might, stretching him to the impossible, to hit the Bat at least, only to loose his footing around, flying out of the Batwing to go on a drop of 10,000 feet.
The caped crusader's stealth suit could only take on this much, letting the blade enter and cut into his tendon, with blood gushing out and vaporizing in air. Batman let go of his hand grip, letting himself got backward, only to use the footing around to jump with his severed foot.
He adequately reaches the cockpit, pulling the lever hard enough to make use of the aerodynamic manual breaks to do their work, stabilizing and making the landing to be a semi-peaceful one.
The Bating got into float mode, capable of keeping the heavy machinery and its contents up to seven tones afloat, but with little water travel.
Hot tears streamed down Neit's face, and she squeezed her eyelids shut in the hope her tears would stop. Her choppy breathing and watery eyes remained for quite some time, and she sat there unmoving.
The Caped crusader received another cape from his spares, applying the spray type wound closer for first aid, still maintain his vigilance against any possible attacks.
Eventually, the waves revealed a familiar land. The Island of Nantucket was in sight.

[Dont worry about the little plot holes, next three chapters are dedicated to the plot holes and iron man 2 plot line only. they are informative.
Do not drop the fic based on the decisions to be made in future, enjoy this fic based on present chapters and not future story arcs that have not been even planned] 9had to write bcoz people commenting they were dropping because 1) I introduced Steppenwolf which was postponed/cancelled due to popular opinion 2) Batman killed Han Xiao and Batman doesn't kill (wait for the story to reveal itself, no its not cliché villain returning I have it all figured out but wait for it)
