182 Vulture

Whirring sounds filled a tunnel as a winged figure zipped through. The intensity of the sounds piled up as the figure approached a hole, with a *whizz* the figure flew up the hole and landed on a platform in a what seemed to be a massive warehouse.

Mechanical arms rose up and began to take of the mechanical wings from the back of the figure. Once free he began his descent down a few stairs, with his descent complete he took of his helmet to reveal himself as none other than Adrian Toomes, the Vulture.

"Phineas how's everything going" Toomes spoke up as he approached one of his associates. "Really?" Phineas turned around in his seat to face Toomes, "Tinkerer, I mean I must said that at least a dozen times. Right guys?" Phineas turned to the others at the last two words, causing them to give a tired shrug in response as they continued on with their various tasks.

Relenting Toomes let out a sigh before speaking once again, "alright Tinkerer... how's everything going?" Phineas let out a smile at that before answering. "Well I'm almost done with all the orders, though I stand on the fact that if I had a bit more time I could make something even-"

"Enough!" Toomes cut of Phineas, the small smile he had gone.

"This city is no longer conducive for business, that guy has some plans for this place and I have no intention of being here once whatever the hell he has plans begins. To top it all off we have the batman aiming for us".

"Speaking of the Batman..." Phineas spoke up causing Vulture to gain a hardened look. Faced with Vulture's look Phineas clamed up.

"Batman and Batwoman paid Randy a visit" Herman spoke up causing Vulture to snap his head towards him, "Has Randy been here since then?". "Nah" Herman spoke up, "Any of you gone to see him?" Vulture posed another question.

"No, but me and some of the boys were planning to" Herman motioned to two others with his thumb.

"Don't, find someone else to send a message to Randy. He'll get his pay and that's that. The rest of you have to prepare everything else, we have one more sale in this city after that we complete the score and bid this place goodbye."

The others exchanged looks amongst themselves before agreeing to his words. Toomes on the other hand run his hand through his hair, his family was already safe and he was tempted to move to them right now but he had to see everything through.

He had spent so long building up everything and he was not going to abandon it until he saw it through. 'Soon' Toomes muttered to himself as he picked up a blackhole grenade, not even the batman and his friends are going to get in my way.

Toomes made to leave before he came to a halt, "Oh yeah Herman" "yes boss" Herman responded as Toomes turned to him. He caught a glimpse of something being flung towards him and barely managed to catch it, having a proper look at it, he saw it was the gauntlet Brice wore.

"This is..."

"Yeah, that used to belong to Brice. The fool however got greedy, somehow got it in his head that he was the boss here can you believe it, called himself something... what was it again. Yes, the Shocker, he threatened to spill some important info therefore, he had to go."

The whole place was silence once Adrian was done speaking, the implications of what he had done clear to each and every one of them. "So Herman, you're the Shocker now" Adrian put his helmet on as the mechanical arms move to arm him with his wings.

With that done he lifted himself up and looked down Herman, "Ehrm, thank you boss".

Vulture gave a nod before leaving the same way he had arrived.

Peter was engaged in a spar against Kate, unlike what he had believed when this had began. He was forced to be on the ropes, she was no where near as fast or as agile as he was, but her attacks came seemingly out of nowhere and always seemed to land.

"You rely to much on your abilities", Kate spoke up once Peter was forced out of bounds. "Though I can see why with the punches you are packing" Kate rubbed her side which was beginning to bruise after taking a hit from Peter.

"He was holding back" Jeff's voice caused the two to raise their heads towards the platform where Jeff stood observing them. "Since you obtained your abilities I'm guessing you've had to hold back once you realized how strong you are".

Kate sported a disbelieving look at those words as Peter gained a sheepish expression, seeing the expression on his face Kate realized her cousins words were actually true. "But you have to realize, you are not always going to be after people below you sometimes you are going to have to be up against people either as strong as you or even stronger".

"To go up against those people you have to understand your capabilities to truly stand a chance" Saying that Batman jumped down to land infront of him. "So today I'm going to push you to those limits. Oracle pull up training simulation Arachnid."

The wild grin that formed on Jeff's face caused Peter to gain a shiver down his spine.
