2 Chapter 2 - Kuoh Academy

Night passed, and morning arrived.

When Ryuuga opened his eyes, he found Lala's face above him. His hands were holding something soft. Yes, she was naked.

"Hmm~"

As he tried to move his hands, Lala moaned in her sleep. It seemed he had touched her buttocks.

Sensing his touch, Lala opened her beautiful eyes and smiled alluringly at Ryuuga.

"Good morning ~"

"Morning, Lala." He greeted her back with a smile. He wondered why she was in his bed naked, but he didn't mind.

"Why are you sleeping naked in my bed, Lala?" Ryuuga asked, with a wry smile. He was a healthy young man, after all. Naturally, he had woken up with morning wood.

"Eh? Sleeping alone is lonely! Peke also needs to rest, so I sleep naked!" Lala explained with a smile.

But Ryuuga could see the loneliness in her eyes. Although she had run away against her will, she still felt lonely because she usually slept with her mom or sisters.

"Who is Peke?"

"Oh, right! I haven't introduced Peke yet! Peke, come here!" Lala realized she hadn't introduced Peke to Ryuuga yet, so she called for Peke.

Not long after Lala shouted, the door opened and a flying object entered the bedroom.

Peke was a small doll-like robot, with a chubby white body, a round head, black wings, and a pair of swirl-like eyes.

"Good morning, Lala-sama and Ryuuga-sama! I'm Peke, Lala-sama's companion and costume robot."

Peke introduced herself to Ryuuga with a slight bow. She was actually a girl, or to be exact, she could transform into a girl.

From what Ryuuga remembered, she could turn into any clothes and attach herself to Lala. But she also had energy and could fall ill.

Lala's innovation is really incredible, even from an intergalactic perspective.

"Did you create Peke by yourself, Lala?" Ryuuga pretended to be surprised and impressed.

"Yeah!" Lala replied proudly, her nose practically growing longer with her pride.

"You're amazing, Lala." Ryuuga said, smiling as he patted her head.

"Ehehe." Lala enjoyed the patting and giggled.

"Lala, do you want to go to school?" Unable to bear leaving Lala alone, he decided to take her to school for admission.

As for the test and costs, he had money. A lot of it. It was one of the perks of the Omniversal Bar System.

Knowing that the business might not flourish like a normal bar, the system granted Ryuuga access to infinite money, but he needed to request it first and get its approval.

[Don't worry, host! I approve!] Iselle's voice appeared in his head, confirming the money collection.

'Thank you, Iselle.' Ryuuga replied with a smile.

Because of that, Iselle also smiled in her living space. Her goal was to make her host the strongest and ensure his life was better than his previous one.

"School? What's that? Sounds fun!" Lala had never been to or heard of something called school before.

"Well, school is a place where you learn and meet friends." Ryuuga explained.

"Friends? Okay!" Lala was excited at the prospect of making new friends. She was like the embodiment of extroversion, always cheerful and friendly.

"Well, let's get ready then." Ryuuga nodded, changing into his school uniform.

"Peke!" Lala called for Peke, who understood her request. Peke's body shone brightly as she attached herself to Lala. Then, a set of clothes appeared on Lala.

Her costume looked strange from an Earthling's perspective. It was as if an enlarged Peke had attached herself to Lala.

"Err... Well, let's go then." Ryuuga wanted to tell her to change clothes, but he didn't have any better ideas. So, he let it be for the time being.

"Okay!" Lala replied with an excited smile, hanging her arm on Ryuuga's right arm.

And so, they went to school.

Ryuuga and Lala were currently in their classroom as the school was about to start.

Lala had also changed into the school uniform of Kuoh Academy after Ryuuga instructed her to let Peke scan the uniform when they encountered a female student from Kuoh Academy.

The school admission was also very fast. Not even ten minutes had passed before Lala was admitted to Kuoh Academy.

Yes, he bribed the principal directly.

Although this school was managed by Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri, the principal could still handle admissions independently without interference from them.

Ryuuga sat on the left side of the class, near the windows, and the second seat from the back. It's the protagonist's seat!

Lala was also sitting beside him.

One of them had long dark brown hair tied in ponytails with hazelnut-colored eyes. The other had short pink hair with a white headband and a pair of pink eyes.

Both of them possessed a sexy and bountiful figure.

"Yes! We're new here! My name is Lala Satalin Deviluke, and he is my fiancé, Kamiya Ryuuga!" Lala answered immediately, brimming with excitement. Ryuuga was stunned when he heard her proclaim him as her fiancé. They had never discussed this before. Well, he wasn't about to push her away or deny it. He felt rather pleased.

"Fiancé?!" Both of the girls exclaimed in surprise. They never expected Ryuuga and Lala to be engaged at their age.

"Are you a foreigner, Lala-san?" the pink-haired girl asked Lala.

"Umm… from an Earthling's perspective, I'm an alien!" Lala pondered for a moment before answering honestly.

Both of the girls looked at Lala, then at each other, and chuckled softly.

"Pfft. You're funny, Lala-san." the dark brown-haired girl continued. They assumed Lala was joking because she didn't want to reveal her home country.

Lala glanced at them with a puzzled expression, unsure why they found her amusing or what they meant. However, she insisted on telling them the truth.

"Here, I'm really an alien!" Lala asserted, turning around slightly to reveal her tail. When they saw it swaying, both of them were stunned. They knew it wasn't fake.

"C-Can I touch it?"

"M-Me too!"

Driven by curiosity, the girls blurted out their thoughts and asked Lala.

"Ummm… sure! But please, be gentle. It's quite sensitive." Lala responded after a moment of consideration, leaving them with a gentle warning.

Both of them nodded eagerly and reached out to touch Lala's tail gently.

"Hmm~" Lala resisted the strange sensation she felt.

Meanwhile, Ryuuga just shook his head. He had already tried to touch it this morning.

After a while, they both released her tail. However, because there were other students in the class, word spread quickly about Lala being an alien.

She will probably be called by Rias or Sona tomorrow.

But no one was afraid of Lala. In fact, they became even more curious about her. After all, she was cute and beautiful, unlike the aliens shown in movies and TV.

"Right, my name is Murayama Akari, and her name is Katase Minami. We're both from the Kendo Club. Nice to meet you, Kamiya-san and Lala-san." Murayama Akari introduced herself and her friend, the pink-haired girl, to Ryuuga and Lala.

"Nice to meet you too, Murayama-san, Katase-san." Ryuuga replied with a smile this time.

Seeing his smile, both girls felt he looked even more handsome. They were almost tempted to pursue him.

The four of them chatted for a while until the homeroom teacher arrived.

Akari and Minami sat in front of Ryuuga and Lala. Over time, Lala and the two girls grew quite close, as Lala was easygoing and fun to be with.

Ryuuga didn't see Hyodou Issei, the protagonist, or his two perverted friends. They must have been in a different classroom.

However, for some reason, he saw Kiryuu Aika in his classroom. Well, she seemed like a loner at first glance, but she was quite the pervert.

She could estimate the size of someone's penis with a glance, even if it was hidden behind their uniform pants.

She sat beside Minami because they had known each other since their first year.

Since they were in their second year, there wouldn't be any ceremony because the auditorium was being used by the first years.

Well, nothing particularly interesting happened at school except for chatting with friends. The homeroom teacher wasn't particularly attractive either. He was an old man.

The events of High School DxD's plot also occurred a few months later, nearing the end of the first semester.

However, Ryuuga knew that there were still stray devils out there that he could fight with. He would hunt them down later.

Instead of heading home directly, Ryuuga and Lala joined Akari, Minami, and Aika, who invited them to go to karaoke.

Akari and Minami didn't attend the Kendo Club today because it was the first day of school, and most of the members were scouting for new recruits. As the president and vice-president of the club, they didn't need to do that.

Aika also tagged along out of curiosity about Ryuuga, especially after sizing him up. She was quite taken by him.

After two hours of karaoke, Ryuuga and Lala accompanied the other girls home, ensuring their safety. After all, this world is full of supernatural beings, and one never knows when they might become a devil's prey. Perhaps it was also a sense of responsibility and a habit from his past life.

Fortunately, their homes weren't far from the karaoke place.

"Did you have fun today?" Ryuuga asked Lala with a smile as they walked, their fingers intertwined, attracting envious glances from passersby who saw their seemingly perfect relationship.

"Yeah! It was really fun! Let's do it again next week!" Lala nodded enthusiastically, her happiness evident. Hanging out with friends and her fiance was the best! Before, her only friends were Peke and Ren, whom she had already forgotten.

"Really?! Then can we invite them next time? Pretty please?" Lala's excitement grew even more upon hearing this. She gave Ryuuga her best puppy-dog eyes.

Ryuuga and Lala didn't go home directly. Instead, they roamed around the neighborhood, searching for abandoned buildings.

Lala didn't know why Ryuuga was searching for those places, but she still followed him. She would follow him forever.

As they arrived at the first abandoned building, Ryuuga felt something ominous emanating from inside it.

"Hey, what are we doing here?" Lala asked Ryuuga with a hint of curiosity. Unlike Ryuuga, she didn't feel the ominous aura.

Well, her power was enough to match that of a Peak Ultimate-class devil, so she wasn't afraid of anything.

Don't see her as a weak bubbly girl. She is still the second strongest being on the Deviluke Planet after all. Her father, Gid Lucion Deviluke, could easily destroy a planet. His power should be as great as that of the chief god of a large pantheon.

"We're searching for stray devils." Ryuuga replied briefly.

"Stray devils? What's that?" This was a new term Lala had never heard before, and she was genuinely curious.

"Well, you should know by now that we come from a different world, right? In this world, there's no Deviluke Planet. But, there are beings like gods, devils, angels, and other supernatural entities.

Devils reside in the Underworld. Due to a low birth rate and a population decline from war, they've started reincarnating humans into devils, turning them into what we call 'reincarnated devils.' The devil who reincarnates them becomes their master.

But, some disobey and run away from their masters, and we call them stray devils." Ryuuga explained the conditions of his world and gave a bit of background on devils.

Lala nodded along as Ryuuga explained. She was intelligent and understood that what he said was true because she felt that this world was different from the one she used to live in.
