Roselia or Afterglow?

As the concert ended, chaos ensued once more. People scattered in all directions, leaving me to navigate the bustling scene. I sighed, feeling exhausted.

"Part-timer-kun~" a familiar voice called out.

I perked up, and my fatigue vanished as I looked towards the source. It was Marina-san, waving her hands.

"Marina-san!!" I practically shouted, my energy restored instantly.

"I'm back, Nakasone-kun. It looks like you've been quite busy," she remarked as she walked to me.

"I have...! Listen to this! I now understand how it feels to be alone!"

"Alone?" Marina-san seemed perplexed.

"Yeah! But don't worry, Marina-san, I won't leave you alone, no matter what!"

Marina-san blushed and held her cheeks, her face flushed. "T-That's bold, Nakasone-kun..."

"Yeah, very bold," Moca added with a sly grin as she sneakily approached. The other members of Afterglow followed her.

"Oh? Hello, everyone! It looks like the live concert went well!" Marina-san greeted them with a warm smile.

"Yeah!~ Thanks to Nakasone-kun!" Tomoe said, grinning as she patted my back.

"That's right. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have done so well," Tsugumi acknowledged.

"I didn't really do much. It was you five who created something amazing," I replied with a modest smile.

"Listen up, Nakasone-kun!" Himari exclaimed as she thrust her phone towards my face, showing a sudden surge in her followers. "My followers have skyrocketed even more! What happened!?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, but I actually streamed the concert on the internet."

"Really!? How many viewers!?" Himari asked with eagerness.

"15,312..."

"Eh!?" The Afterglow members gasped in unison, shocked by the impressive number.

"Wow~ That was smart of you, Nakasone-kun," Marina said, smirking at me. "You're like a puppeteer pulling strings in the background."

"D-Don't say that... I feel like a villain."

"But it's true, though," Ran replied bluntly.

"No, it's not!?"

Just then, Roselia entered the live house, their presence just commanding attention. As if we immediately got pulled by them as soon as they entered the livehouse.

"Oh? Moca-chan! Good evening~"

"Lisa-san~"

"It looks like the concert went well for you all," Yukina observed them Afterglow one by one with a stare that felt very cold.

Eh? How did you know that? Well, You probably watched on the livestream but I didn't expect Minato-san to be watching Afterglow.

"Yeah, Thanks," Ran responded, her gaze meeting Yukina's in a silent standoff. I could feel the intensity of their rivalry.

"E-Ermm... Marina-san... Is it just me, or did it suddenly get hotter in here?" I stammered.

"Hahaha~ Rivals are truly something, aren't they~" Marina chuckled.

"There's no time for that, you know!?"

Why the hell are you happy!?

Then both Yukina and Ran turned to me, asking in unison, "By the way, Nakasone-kun, whose band do you think is the best?"

"Eh!? What!? Why such a sudden question!?" I stuttered, taken aback by the unexpected query.

There's no time for that Nakasone-kun... Open up with your honest thoughts and tell them what you really feel.

Roselia embodies the essence of a true powerhouse. Their music resonates with a sense of power and intensity that's almost palpable, creating a unique and immersive experience for their listeners. This quality is perhaps what sets them apart as an exceptional band.

Musically, Roselia's style is a captivating blend of industrial, gothic, hardcore, and even emo influences. Not that emo but you know what I mean. It felt like everything to them was just full of dark magics surrounding us by their music.

Their songs are impeccably produced, exuding top-notch quality in every aspect.

Minato-san's vocals are nothing short of astonishing, capable of capturing the audience with their powerful and passionate delivery.

Hikawa-san's skillful guitar work, which often shreds with Minato-san's commanding vocals, combines seamlessly with Imai-san's funky bass lines, creating a strong and groovy foundation for the band.

Ako's impressive drumming adds a dynamic and energetic element to their music, while Shirokane-san's piano skills infuse depth and atmospheric nuances into their songs. Together, they craft a multifaceted and captivating sound that truly sets them apart.

When it comes to Afterglow...

The essence of Afterglow can be distilled into two words: friendship and memories.

While they may not possess the same level of experience and finesse as Roselia, they more than compensate with their electrifying live performances, deep bonds, and unwavering passion for music.

Afterglow's musical style is J-rock with alternative rock and pop-punk, setting them apart from Roselia.

While their songwriting might not be groundbreaking in the grand scheme of things, their music is undeniably fun and enjoyable.

However, the individual talents and skills of the band members should not be underestimated. Mitake wields her guitar skillfully, but it's her powerful and unexpectedly low vocal range that sends shivers down your spine.

Aoba-san's guitar prowess shines, particularly when she lets loose with some impressive shredding. Uehara handles the bass with finesse and serves as the band's vital coordinator.

Tomoe's drumming style is best described as a wild one as sometimes there are unexpected beats to the songs, especially background ones, much like her younger sister. Hazawa-san's keyboard work infuses rock 'n' roll elements and funky piano tones, adding a distinctive flavor to their songs.

THE SISTERS ARE TOO GOOD TO COMPARE!

I just had the pleasure of listening to their new song, and it's clear that their individual talents harmonize beautifully.

Roselia is serious and dramatic while Afterglow has an energetic style and joyful vibes. You want me to choose which is the best band!? Ugh!!

Their good points are pretty much similar besides Roselia having a well-developed personality and their music often revolves around deeper and more serious emotions.

Afterglow is known for its upbeat and memorable pop-rock melodies and members are presented as a cheerful, fun-loving childhood group.

So that's why... I choose...!!

Just then my phone rang, and I quickly answered it.

 "Hello? Nee-chan?"

"Kyo-chan~ I'm so hungry!"

"Eh?! Nee-chan! I'm in the middle of something!"

"Ehhhh~ I'm going to starve..."

"F-Fine, I'll come home right away." I hung up and turned to the band with a somewhat disappointed look. "I'm really sorry, everyone, but I have to go. My sister's in need."

"Go take care of her, Nakasone-kun," Marina-san reassured me as she slightly pushed me away from them.

I know I'm being a coward right now but I can't choose... not yet.
