No Need For Changes

"S-Shut up! I'm leaving!" She walked away with a tsundere attitude, leaving me alone to continue my work.

There she goes...

I yawned as I checked the time on the laptop.

"Uwah... It's already 1 pm!?"

I sighed, "I guess I'll rest for a bit..."

I closed down the laptop and placed my head on the table, but it seemed like my eyes didn't want to sleep.

I groaned as I opened my laptop again and searched for Poppin'Party.

"Oh... They're pretty famous... No, super famous."

I should listen to their first song... For reference.

I played "Tokimeki Experience" and listened to it.

My eyes widened as I could hear the bass clearly at the start of the song.

"Woah!! The bass!" I shouted in excitement.

What the hell is this?! It's good! It's like I'm imagining a girl on this song jumping clearly excited to go to school as her usual routine.

No, First let me analyze the song and the music.

I focused on the song, analyzing its every aspect. The melody, the lyrics, the harmony, and the rhythm all came together to create a vibrant and energetic tune.

As I delved deeper into the song,

Wait a minute...

I closed my eyes, allowing the music to wash over me. It was as if I could feel the excitement and joy that the song conveyed. It painted a vivid picture of a girl's daily life, filled with hope and anticipation.

I opened my eyes, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over me as I noticed Ushigome-san standing at the door, her expression a mix of blank and dumbfounded.

"Erm..." I stammered, my face turning several shades of red as I quickly sat down in the chair, attempting to regain some semblance of composure.

She couldn't help but giggle, a warm smile on her face.

"U-Uh... You saw that... didn't you?" I mumbled, feeling like I'd been caught in the act of something I shouldn't have been doing.

Ushigome-san nodded, her amusement evident as she walked toward me and glanced at the computer screen. "Oh~ You were playing our first song... Thank you~" She seemed genuinely pleased, and my embarrassment began to ebb away.

Okay, Nakasone Kyo... In this situation.

CHANGE THE TOPIC RIGHT NOW! I'M GONNA DIE FROM EMBARRASSMENT!

"By the way, What are you doing here? Need something?"

She nodded, her expression becoming more focused. "I do, I just need to get Kasumi-chan's towel."

I let out a relieved sigh. "O-Ohh~ I see... Right." But even as we spoke, an awkward silence hung in the air, and I couldn't shake the feeling of being caught in a tight spot.

I suddenly noticed Rimi standing not too far from me, seemingly lost in thought.

Her cheeks were a light shade of pink.

Is she perhaps... feeling shy toward me?

Wait, No... I have to make sure she doesn't remember this embarrassment I made.

I decided to approach her, hoping to strike up a conversation.

"Ushigme-san."

Rimi looked up, her eyes widening slightly in surprise. She fiddled with her fingers nervously, a habit she had when she was feeling a bit unsure of herself.

"Y-Yes?"

I could tell she was a bit nervous, but I didn't want to push her too much.

"How are you finding our time at the beach so far?"

Hopefully, I'm not being a weirdo asking that kind of question.

Rimi's blush deepened a little as she considered her response. "Um, well... I, um, really like the beach. It's, uh, nice... and the weather is, um, warm," she replied, her Kansai dialect slipping into her speech as she stumbled over her words.

"I agree, The beach is lovely, and the weather is perfect for a day like this."

She smiled, "Y-yeah, it is."

Good job me! You just created a conversation but I wanted to continue the conversation, but I also didn't want to overwhelm her.

So, I simply nodded and said, "Well, if you ever want to chat or do something fun, just let me know. We're all here to have a good time together."

Rimi's eyes sparkled and placed her hands on her chest and spoke in her soft, shy voice, she asked, "U-Um... Why?"

I turned my attention to her, a warm smile on my face. "Why did I want to help?"

What's with the sudden question?

"Well, sometimes you meet people who just have a way of making you want to help them. It's like they bring a special kind of energy and enthusiasm into your life, and you can't help but be drawn to that."

"Really?"

"Really."

"I see... That's really nice."

"Indeed, It's a wonderful feeling to be part of something like this, where everyone is so passionate and supportive of one another."

Rimi's eyes lit up, and she nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! I... I really admire my older sister and all the others. I want to be more like them, more confident."

More confident huh.

Despite being one of the famous band members.

"You know, Rimi, it's okay to be yourself. You're already an amazing person, and there's no need to compare yourself to others. Just keep being the wonderful you that you are."

Rimi's cheeks turned an even deeper shade of pink as she smiled gratefully. "T-thank you... Nakasone-san."

I returned her smile, "You're welcome, Ushigome-san. And if you ever want to talk or need someone to listen, don't hesitate to reach out."

As Rimi and I continued our conversation, she suddenly giggled softly, her shyness giving way to a warm smile.

"Hehe, Now that I think about it... Nakasone-san, you're starting to look like a brother figure now."

I blinked in surprise, not quite sure how to respond to that unexpected comment. "Eh? Brother... figure?"

is it because it looks like a brother helping her little sister out?

No way... Why would I assume that haha...

Just then, Kasumi's energetic voice filled the room as she entered the beach house, dripping wet.

"Woah! You're soaking wet!"

I exclaimed, genuinely concerned.

"Hehehe~ Sorry, Nakasone-kun," Kasumi replied, her playful demeanor contrasting with my worry.

"N-No, you're going to catch a cold, you know! Ushigome-san, her towel! Quick!"

"I-I'm on it!" Rimi hurriedly responded, taking Kasumi's towel somewhere in her bag.

After that moment, Kasumi and Rimi left and I found myself alone once more in the beach house, my eyelids growing heavy as drowsiness settled in. With a contented sigh, I rested my head on the table and drifted into a peaceful slumber.
