1 Wishes in the void

"Where am I?" I exclaimed disorientedly, addressing no one in particular. "In the void," a voice echoed from all directions, "wait, what? Who said that?" "Shut up," came the retort. "A wheel will appear in front of you, and when it does, you are to spin it."

True to the voice's statement, a wheel materialized. Upon it were inscribed names of various multiverses. Being someone who considers himself cultured, I'd be disappointed in myself if I failed to quickly discern my situation.

Without hesitation, I drifted towards the wheel. Let's not delve into how; I simply did. Upon reaching it, I exerted all my strength to spin it, beseeching every god I believed in to grant my plea. I hoped for mercy upon my pitiful soul, praying for a landing in a decent multiverse.

The wheel spun incessantly until it halted on "Marvel Universe #000:;,.:2." Beneath it lay a brief description: "The main distinction from Marvel Universe Prime is the absence of mutants."

As soon as I read that, procrastination kicked in. I mean, who wouldn't, unless wishes were granted? My fate seemed sealed unless some benevolent force intervened.

"Three wishes. Begin," the voice resounded unexpectedly.

Without scrutinizing the gift horse, as the Chinese saying goes, I hastily commenced. As a self-proclaimed man of culture, I had often pondered such scenarios.

In a clear voice, I thundered, "My first wish: to be reborn as Odin and Gaea's son, two years following Thor, the God of Thunder."

"For my second wish, I wish to personally select my divine domains."

"For the third and final wish, I desire the protagonist halo."

" So, you've chosen. Your first wish will be granted. For your second, you may pick 2 primary and 4 secondary domains. Specify their attributes and they shall remain static and unimprovable don't and the opposite takes affect. Choose now."

"Alright... For my primaries, I desire the domains of sun and runes. I shall keep these unaltered. As for my secondary domains, I wish for the Minor Divinity of Magic, granting high affinity and comprehension of all magic types."

"Minor Divinity of Battle, conferring heightened understanding of combat arts and warfare strategies, along with a slight battle/war buff."

"Minor Divinity of Knowledge & Wisdom, facilitating learning and providing access to a memory bank. Also, a minor acceleration of thought processes and thought partitions."

"Lastly, for my fourth minor domain, I wish to become the God of Music." I declared, praying none would be rejected.

Reviewing my choices for reassurance, I convinced myself I'd made the right call. Defining my primaries would only limit me.

Although specifying the primaries would limit me, I couldn't afford the risk for the minors, considering minor domains usually held less weight in Marvel. Take Thor, for example—his dominion over strength barely receives mention.

"Your selections are affirmed. Your second wish is granted. Your third wish is also granted. Best of luck in your next life. Depart now."

And just like that, the darkness of the void swallowed me.
