Chapter 87 - Baldur and the X-Men Final Part

"It took longer than I thought, but it finally worked. Now my creation is completely invulnerable to your powers. Aren't you happy, your majesty? In front of you is the perfect enemy to defeat you!"

Sinister spoke while the Zombie continued the attacks that became increasingly wild, and I could only dodge as best I could.

I swung Sigel once more aiming for the neck. My attack was stopped by Apocalypse's forearm, unlike my powers that didn't cause any damage, my blade almost ripped his entire arm off.

He then stands up once more, but now I can see his face completely, there were no changes in the face of Apocalypse's corpse outside his expression and lifeless eyes, the only thing that catches attention, is the huge ruby embedded in his forehead.

Sinister shouted furiously, I doubt he thought of this possibility, he was arrogant.

I turn again to the body of Apocalypse who is paralyzed on his knees, the dark energy is destroying all the nanobots in his body faster than they are created, or can heal their wounds.

"Apocalypse was a terrible man, but he was a worthy enemy and did not deserve to have his body desecrated in this way."

I extend my hand and pull the scarlet diamond from the monster's forehead thus removing its main source of energy. I use the dark energy once more and my hand turns black as night, and then I start squeezing the gem of Cyttorak, it then begins to crack and then breaks like glass that spreads in the air. With the same black fist, I strike a punch hitting Apocalypse's head exploding it. What remained of his body falls to the ground ending this fight.

I used the dark energy to destroy the gem, I highly doubt that Cyttorak cares, the bet of the entities is over, and it has no use, in fact, it is so unnecessary, that he probably forgot it.

"So Mr. Sinister. Any more surprises waiting for me? or can I finally rip your heart out as compensation for all this mess you got me into?"

He looks at me for a few seconds without showing any emotion.

"You are right, I lost. So I must withdraw."

"Usually my enemies stay and fight thinking they are superior and with total certainty of defeating me in a direct fight."

A third voice out of nowhere sounds, and we both look to the side where there was a man wearing a red armor with a blue cape, Magneto. And right behind him, is Amora with a big smile.

It seems that the situation between them has changed quite a bit.

"It looks like you've regained control," Sinister says with a stern face.

"I had help," Magneto replies, looking at Amora.

"Were you also controlling him?"

It wasn't very hard to deduce that from the phrases they both said.

"It's a drug I produced. I used it in gas form to catch him off guard, it has the effect of forcing those who are infected to follow suggestions, I had to use a good amount to cover up his hatred for me," Sinister explained.

"Is the Brotherhood of Mutants also under your control?" I ask.

"No. They simply obey any order that Magneto gives them, none of them have enough brains to figure out that their leader was being controlled."

He answers all my questions calmly, while looking in all directions clearly trying to find a way to escape.

"It seems that escaping won't be easy now," I say, smiling at him.

He smiles back at me, but suddenly he acts. He fires a burst of energy at Magneto, who defends himself with what appears to be an energy barrier, and with his other hand he launches a telekinetic attack at me, forcing me to distance myself from him. As he was attacking, his beautiful black suit transformed into a black armor covering his entire body, except his face.

"Do we need to help?" Amora asks me calmly.

"No. This is not our fight."

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Magneto roars in anger and fires a powerful attack at Sinister who defends himself with a force field, but I can see the effort he is making to maintain his defenses.

"Boom!"

His defense is destroyed, and he is hit by Magneto's attack, destroying half of Sinister's body. With his only remaining hand, he counterattacks Magneto who easily defends himself. His body begins to regenerate, his shoulder and arm begin to grow again.

Sinister tries to move again, but he hits an invisible wall. Magneto has created a force field around him.

"No! No! No! No! No!"

Understanding what is going to happen, Sinister panics and attacks the invisible force field with all his strength trying to escape, but the force field begins to shrink, squeezing Sinister's body more and more.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

His screams are loud and terrifying, but Magneto is not in a hurry. After a few minutes, all that remains of Sinister is a ball of red and bloody flesh on the ground.

"Now my friends can rest in peace knowing that justice has been done," says Magneto, who doesn't seem happy at all to have achieved his revenge.

I point to the ball of flesh and it disappears.

"What did you do?" Magneto asks.

"Nothing much. Now we have to go after the X-Men, before they kill your men, or vice versa."

He was still apprehensive about the disappearance of Sinister's body, but he agreed to follow us to the place where the whole fight began.
