Chapter 85 - Baldur and the X-men Part 11

POV: Third Person.

Desert, Savage Land.

During Baldur's fight

The two stood looking at each other without making the first move in the desert sands. Amora was no fool, the first thing she did when she found out that her enemy was Magneto, was to teleport him as far away as possible from where her husband is, the information from Genosha about him put him at omega level danger, even Baldur told her to be careful with those who have an omega level threat. In fact, she only managed to teleport him by force because she caught her enemy by surprise, his magnetism powers would protect him from such a spell.

"If you're not going to start then I will." She then said.

Her enemy was not in a hurry to start fighting, he was at this moment forming several strategies on how to kidnap Amora without hurting her, so she made the first move. From the palms of her hands, flames of Muspelheim form. she points to Magneto and the flames shoot towards him like a giant wave, the temperature of the flames burned the sand below, but when they were about to hit Magneto, they split in two directions with him in the center, if someone saw the scene from above they would be shocked. A sea of flames with only one man in the center of it untouched.

"An impressive attack. But your effort is meaningless, just surrender to me, and I give my word that I will not hurt you." Magneto said to her.

Seeing that the spell was not working, Amora stops it.

"Magnetic force field?"

She asks interested in the way he defended himself from her spell without much effort. But she didn't get an answer.

"If you can defend yourself from attacks of this level, I'm really happy."

Amora begins to release pure magical energy from her body, the energy was light green and made the ground shake.

"It's been a long time since I wanted to test myself."

She says smiling at the man wearing armor in front of her, with a movement of her staff, the green energy that was being released takes the form of several tentacles that attack her enemy in front, there were hundreds of tentacles attacking from all possible positions at a frightening speed.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The noise of the explosions did not stop when the energy tentacles hit the force field around Magneto several times without crossing it.

"Enough!"

Magneto moved his long cape and his magnetic field expanded making the energy tentacles move even further away from him.

"I tried to do this without having to hurt you, but I see it will be impossible, so be it!"

He shoots up and points at Amora, he fires a burst of purple energy from his hand at her, who also dodges by flying and once again facing him. Amora points her staff at him and fires a pillar of green energy, Magneto does the same with his purple energy, the two energies collide in the air, and when they come into contact, the explosion was so powerful that it could destroy an entire city block.

After everything calms down. for the first time, Magneto takes the initiative to attack by flying towards Amora with his two hands glowing purple, Amora creates more energy tentacles and tries to hit him, but he manages to dodge all of them with great ease and without decreasing speed, standing in front of her and punching her body, but Magneto's hand simply goes through Amora's body, and shortly after her image disappears.

Magneto realizes it was an illusion, but before he defends himself with his force field, he is hit by a green energy tentacle that goes through his shoulder. Amora then reappears now above Magneto.

His blood begins to stain the armor, but he doesn't even show pain. Magneto controls the iron in his blood to stop the bleeding thus preventing his wound from getting worse. He then tries to control the blood in the body of the woman in front of him without success, he also tries to remove her weapon and cannot.

"It seems what Sinister said was true, Genosha is the country with the most information about the world, even about me, only then can you protect yourself against my powers."

"We are well informed about those who can become our future enemies," she replied.

Before the fight starts again, Magneto closes his eyes and seconds later opens them, the ground below him begins to vibrate and then.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Several points in the desert below explode, and a black dust flies high as if several geysers had exploded out of nowhere in the desert. The black dust then begins to spin around Magneto in his total control. The black dust then attacks Amora and transforms into a huge sphere trapping her inside.

"Boom!"

The sphere explodes from within with a green glow, but it once again forms around Amora, then several layers form around the first. Knowing that the sphere would form again if she destroyed it, Amora teleported out and held her staff with both hands, the clouds above her darkened and a huge lightning bolt fell towards Magneto.

"Using electricity against the master of magnetism? What foolishness!"

Magneto did not suffer any damage when his entire body was hit by the lightning, then he joined his two hands and his body began to release electricity.

"Let me show you how to use the power of lightning!"

He then releases a lightning bolt where more powerful than Amora. she tries to defend by creating a magical energy shield in front of her, but before the lightning bolt hits the shield, it changes trajectory as if it were alive, it goes around Amora and hits her in the back.

"AAAH!"

Amora falls on the sands of the desert, and from her coast, smoke comes out of her burned skin, she makes an effort to ignore the pain, she fights to concentrate to use her magic.

"I invoke the light of Baldur!"

Her whole body shines in gold, and her wounds begin to heal at high speed, in a few seconds, she would be fully healed. Magneto who was still floating several meters above the ground would not simply wait for his prey to recover, he moves his hands and iron dust removed from the ground falls on Amora like a black waterfall hitting her body. The metal spreads over the ground covering it leaving all the desert floor black. Magneto's intention was to drown Amora by making her lose consciousness.

"Boom!"

Another explosion happens followed, a column of golden light that comes out of the place where Amora is, in the center of this column of light, she flies high totally healed, but not happy at all.

"Now you've made me lose patience, old man."

"All this would be unnecessary if you followed what I ordered, this fight is meaningless, since the winner has already been decided."

Magneto spoke calmly ready to continue the fight.

"Follow what you ordered? Don't be foolish! I am a queen, I do not obey anyone, much less a mortal. And stop talking nonsense as if you had already won, we both know that your body will not last long."

For Magneto to exercise his mutant powers, he depends on his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of magnetic energy manipulation, even if he is suppressing the pain from his shoulder injury, the wound continues without care making his physical condition worsen every second. If he cannot find a way to defeat Amora quickly, he will become powerless against her.

"By the Rings of Raggadorr!"

"By the Icy Tendons of Ikthalon!"

Amora invokes two spells used by Earth wizards in succession, something that many Earth wizards cannot imagine doing. The first spell creates several blue rings around Magneto's body that try to hold him, all of them are prevented by his energy barrier, the second spell does not care about his defenses and freezes Magneto's entire body turning him into an ice statue. Amora then falls silent preparing her next spell.

"Boom!"

The ice coating does not last long, and Magneto frees himself from his prison, the blue rings that were still around his body trying to break through his defenses suddenly explode releasing blue smoke that covers his vision preventing him from interfering with Amora's next spell, which is ready the next moment.

"By the images of Ikkon!"

With these words, the whole world darkens and disappears, only Magneto and Amora remained in an infinite black space. Magneto tried to fire a burst of energy with all his power trying to somehow end it, but the shot simply goes through Amora who disappears. then all the black space transforms and Magneto too, he was no longer the powerful being wearing a beautiful armor, but a child once again trapped in the concentration camp of Auschwitz in Poland.

He was now cleaning the crematorium ovens, cleaning the bodies of his friends who had been turned into monsters by the experiments of Josef Mengele, and of a man he had forgotten, but now he remembers clearly, that the German Angel of Death was not creating all that hell alone, he was being helped by Mister Sinister.

"How could I forget that? What have I done!"

Said Magneto when all the illusion disappeared and he was back in the desert in the Savage Land, he was on the ground with tears in his eyes.

Amora was behind him, but she stopped before delivering the final blow, she could also see the images of Magneto's memories, and no longer judged it necessary to continue the fight.

"You helped the one who made your people feel much pain, and fought against those who saved you."

"It was necessary to save my people." He says mechanically again.

"You have not yet seen the whole truth."

Once again everything disappears, and Magneto was dragged into another memory, now he was facing Sinister, he was so furious, he remembered the past, and was about to end him, but out of nowhere, he perceived a strange smell in the air and his mind became blank.

"Magneto, you must work with me for the good of the mutants!"

Sinister said smiling.

"Yes. For the good of the mutants." He answered mechanically.

Ikkon's illusions can be used in various ways, creating basic illusions, or if used correctly, can enter the enemy's mind showing his saddest memories, but when Amora did this, she felt that there were some hidden memories in Magneto's mind.

"So, you were also one of the chess pieces of that man." She said.

Magneto was now ashamed to look into Amora's eyes, one of the people who saved him from the hell of the old Nazi concentration camps.

"Lift your head. You still have revenge to take." With a simple phrase the Queen rekindles the flames in his heart.

Magneto now stands up with fury in his eyes.

"Yes, I do!"

POV: Baldur

Savage Land.

I took the monster as far away as I could and then hit it with a gigantic spear of light that should have turned it into ashes. But instead, he was still alive, and unlike the other times when my powers hurt him and he healed, he didn't have a scratch.

With a wave of his hand, small spears of light shoot at the monster's body, hitting it. But neither the spears of light nor the explosions were hurting his flesh.

(What the hell is going on!)

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

Once again, that idiot Sinister followed us and was smiling as if he were a proud father of his son's achievements a few meters away from the fight.

"It took longer than I thought, but it finally worked, now my creation is totally invulnerable to your powers. Aren't you happy, your majesty? In front of you is the perfect enemy to destroy you!"
