Chapter -1 : Finally some progress

--C--

Wakey wakey, the sun is up, good morning. I had never thought that sleeping on that weird moisture would be more comfortable than my royal bed. With a warm little pig that won't stop farting.

Now that I have a home time to look for some sustainable source of food. What I needed at the moment is an animal. Or just any kind of living being that could actually be edible.

But even if I find it I wouldn't be able to catch them. So my next step was making some kind of solid rope.

Remember those blue fibers I felt in the last chapter? I took then and started to rolling a few to make a long rope that miraculously worked.

So I put down some traps and checked them every morning to see if they caught anything. Turns out animals are way easier to catch then in my world.

As soon as I got closer to it, it started to sniff on me and lifted me from my hips with his tongue. But it got stronger as he was looking for something. When my backpack felt he put me down and started to stick it's tongue in my bag and took some of the blue fibers I had gathered.

I figured that was his diet so I gathered some and started baiting him to the shack. I'll be skipping the part where I used him to ask for help and kill his relatives.

I made him a stable inside the shack and some water and a box full of blue fibers.

When I came back to the shack, he was cold. Like seriously cold, cold. I started practicing my emergency breathing exercise for half an hour before realizing he was still breathing and has regular heartbeats.

This guy is pathetic but he kinda made me feel comfortable, he was also a great source of heat.

The time has come to start exploring this new world, see if it has any metals: copper, iron, gold, lead, silver, and other metals you make from fusing other metal with other minerals.

What I like about caves is that you have at least 85% chances to find one. But also you have 100% to spot one.

Luckily enough I made the shack on the highest tree I could spot tree fruits. I guess this was useful for something. I couldn't know where the north was because the sun was coming up in the same way as it was going down.

Turns out there is a mountain nearby. But I don't have the equipment for it yet, so I started collecting all kinds of tools I could think of to be useful from the modern world: torches, pickaxes, a backpack, maybe a wheeled cart to hold all the minerals since I'm not a Minecraft character that can hold a crap ton of metal.

First of all, I had to make torches, which is the most useful tool at the moment. A little piece of wood with a piece of tissue. Finding wood was not the biggest challenge.

The night started to fall as I was thinking of a way to get some piece of clothes to light and make the torches I need to start exploring for minerals and metals.

Before the sun left sight I made some traps and put them on the ground. Maybe catch something while we are sleeping.

But I figured no animals in this world dumb enough to fall for it so I made a little scarecrow, and give him my clothes. When I started making noises to shove it down I started to hear the same noise I use to hear at night. So I just went back to the shack and hug my human blanket.

When I reached the door and opened it I didn't find him. At first, I was scared but then I saw the trapdoor wide open. When I went down he was there, butt up and crying my name.

I didn't have a pulley system in the basement so I had to pull him manually from it and shut the trapdoor. But that was not the worst thing that happened that night.

When I went down again the little cow was dead, this guy... killed my cow... using... fart?

Yeah, when I went down to drag him the smell of the room was killing my lungs. So I just thought of him and started dragging him up to save him, letting the door open to evacuate the smell.

When I went down the cow was not moving at all. I tried petting it but no reaction at all. I also gave her the blue fibers but she didn't move at all. This was when I realized that it was dead. Poor cow.

You will not be wasted. After the air became breathable, I went down there and started to butcher the animal. But inside it was another form of the animal.

It was pregnant. It had a child. Oh my god, it's so cute. Well, at least we have another cow growing and a body to consume: 8 legs, whatever organs it had, and a head.

I also got some clothing now, a lot of clothes, warm thick clothes. No wonder why they didn't die at night, and also, there is the backpack I was thinking so hard to make. Still, I have to find a way to make it hold itself.

Just when I was thinking so hard, I saw how easy these cows cut down the blue fibers. Their teeth are cutting it from both ways. What a smart way to use your teeth. So I started tearing some fibers, made holes in the animal skin and made a backpack capable of holding so much stuff I don't even know how much it can hold anymore.

But now that I have got some heat, a backpack, and some torches, weapons, I didn't know what more I needed to start investigating the caves. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Now, it's time to sleep with my little darling one more time before going out on a little adventure, just me. Ow See.
