1 Chapter 1

Hyun Na Bi opened her eyes and got up from her bed with a jerk as if an alarm woke her up on time. She clutched her head as she slowly got out of bed. It looked like it was already late and she had to quickly prepare breakfast for the entire family. It was dark but her day started pretty early compared to the others in the family. Hyun Na Bi had started waking up automatically at 4.30 am even without an alarm even if she had too much to drink the previous day. It had been years since she had slept in the same bed with her husband so she did not have to worry about waking up the person next to her. When Hyun Na Bi's legs touched the ground, it was met with hard ground and not the soft carpet in her room. She looked around the dark room and that was when it dawned to her; she was not in her room. That is when she noticed that she was no longer at her home. Where was she? Hyun Na Bi could not recognize the place. She was in a small room and another person was sleeping in another bed in the opposite side of the room.

Hyun Na Bi had seen this place somewhere but she couldn't remember. Did someone kidnap her? Hyun Na Bi slowly tried to recall the happenings of last night. She wasn't able to sleep so she had taken sleeping pills as usual and had gone to sleep. Nothing unusual had happened last night and Hyun Na Bi was sure that no one had taken her away from her place or kidnapped her.

Hyun Na Bi blinked twice and looked around once again at the familiar room. Only then she remembered, this was her dormitory when she was in still in college. It was the same room that she had lived with her friend. She had no idea why she would wake up here. It had been years since she had last been here.

The other bed in the room was occupied and Hyun Na Bi slowly walked towards the bed where someone was lying underneath the blanket covering them completely. Hyun Na Bi slowly lifted the blanket to find someone under that sound asleep. The room was too dark so she turned on the lights to take a better look at the person.

Hyun Na Bi's scream woke up the sleeping person, "Aaaaaaaaaahhh!"

Since it was early in the morning, Hyun Na Bi's voice almost woke up the entire dormitory including Jeong Hyun Joo, Hyun Na Bi's friend who was sleeping.

Hyun Na Bi couldn't understand what was happening around her, "What the hell are you doing here?"

Rubbing her eyes Jeong Hyun Joo looked around the room to see what made Hyun Na Bi scream and seeing nothing unusual, she turned towards her friend, "What's wrong with you early in the morning?"

Seeing that Jeong Hyun Joo did not have much reaction to waking up in this room, Hyun Na Bi asked her, "No... You… Why are you here? No why are we both here?"

"Where else would I be at this time?"

Now Hyun Na Bi was really confused, "Your husband and child would be…"

Jeong Hyun Joo sat straight on her bed, "Did you lose your mind because of what happened yesterday?"

"What?"

Seeing Hyun Na Bi's confused face, Jeong Hyun Joo was now not sure if her friend was playing with her or if something bad had happened, "Did you have a nightmare?" You're scaring me now"

Hyun Na Bi looked at her friends face without batting an eye for a long time. She had met her friend a few times in the last couple of years; she was young but definitely not this young.

When Hyun Na Bi did not say a word and continued to stare at her face, Jeong Hyun Joo waved her hands in front of eyes, "Hello???"

Hyun Na Bi murmured, "Wait… your young"

"Of course I'm young. I'm only 20."

Hyun Na Bi's mouth opened wide in shock, "20?"

Jeong Hyun Joo no longer had the patience to deal with Hyun Na Bi now, "Waahhh!!! You really lost your mind. Go to sleep its only 5 in the morning" saying that she pulled the blanket over her face trying to fall asleep.

Hyun Na Bi turned around to look at the mirror and that is when she saw her face. She was no longer 36 now. She moved closer to the mirror and touched her face; it was the face she had long forgotten.

Hyun Na Bi couldn't help but shout in joy, "Hooooooo!!!"

Jeong Hyun Joo was done with her friend now. She threw the pillow at her screaming loudly, "YAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! Shut your mouth before I kill you"

Hyun Na Bi was almost jumping up and down in joy, "I'm 22 now. I'm 22 now!!!"

Jeong Hyun Joo could no longer sleep. She sat up on a bed and asked pitifully, "it is not even your birthday. Why are you so worried about your age?"

Sitting next to Jeong Hyun Joo asked eagerly, "What is today's date?"

"Look at the calendar you fool or look at your phone"

Hyun Na Bi got up and started searching for her phone and Jeong Hyun Joo murmured under her breath, "Oh God!!! That idiot Jin Yong has done a number on you"

After finding her phone, Hyun Na Bi asked her, "What's my phone pass code?"

Jeong Hyun Joo sat quietly waiting for Hyun Na Bi to calm down, still not sure what's going on, but Hyun Na Bi kept on talking to herself, "Wait I know. 707303 of course that has been my pass code all these years. Well in the beginning it was for him then my son had the same birthday and…"

Hyun Na Bi stopped talking when she suddenly remembered her family; her son and daughter.

Jeong Hyun Joo took a deep breath and tried to speak as calmly as possible, "Go away. Go. I really don't want to kill a heart broken girl". She just could not understand why Hyun Na Bi was talking nonsense so early in the morning about husband, son and so on…

Hyun Na Bi was now mostly talking to herself, "My son and my daughter. They…"

Hyun Na Bi laid down on her bed as she unlocked her phone. She had travelled back to exactly 14 years ago. It was July 6 2035 when she went to bed, and today it was July 7 2021. Hyun Na Bi's mind wandered over to her family, her husband and two kids. She was curious now, why she was back to the past? Did she die? Did someone kill her?

Seeing that Hyun Na Bi had gone silent, Jeong Hyun Joo turned off the lights and went back to sleep.

Hyun Na Bi laid there wide awake thinking about why and how she travelled here. She could feel that she has come back to her younger self and also her mind was fresh. All the depression and every other worry had evaporated from her mind the moment she knew that she would no longer have to live with the Park's.

Her mother in law was no longer here to nag at her and torture her. Her husband, well now her ex husband or not husband at all, he would no longer be in her life. Her children, the only thing that worried her was that she could never see her children again. She was happy that at least that scum of her husband is no longer her husband.

Everything felt alien to her now. The past 14 years had changed her so much and she hadn't relaxed even once in the past 10 years. This was new to her. But Hyun Na Bi had taken a decision; she would never repeat the mistakes of her past. She was going to live for herself. Just herself.
