Back Into His Touch

Grey looked at Lylia's face, although now her face was completely different from the woman he had loved for the past 12 years, he couldn't hide the feeling of love that was getting bigger and bigger by the day. The woman he used to know was so gentle, and calm. While Lylia who was in front of him at this time was almost unknown to him. There was no tenderness left in her. Lylia who turned into Stacy John, had such a cold and piercing gaze. Looks like Grey has changed something he shouldn't have. He didn't understand, he created something different and heartless not like before. Lylia continued to stare at Grey's body who was standing in front of her in a state of near collapse. “Lylia, I know you still remember the memories at the lake 10 years ago. I—” "I'm not Lylia, I'm Stacy. Your Lylia is long dead, Grey." “But I want the old Lylia to come back to me!” "Then why don't you look for her in the realm of the dead?"

Chapter 5. Fell In Love Long Ago

Several luxury cars were seen lined up in the parking lot. Today, Myra and Amier's engagement ceremony. The Crawfords were all fully assembled for the event. They saw Myra who was standing holding Amier's arm looking so beautiful wearing a white ball gown that showed off her beautiful shoulders.

That night, Myra became the star. She looked like an angel before everyone present.

No one, two days ago, the man who had been her lover was forced to swallow the bitter pill by accepting Myra's decision, that they had to break up. Myra had to get engaged and marry someone else.

Actually, Myra was very happy when she found out that she had to replace her adopted sister to marry Amier. Unbeknownst to Amier, Myra had loved him for a long time, she always cursed Lylia to break up with Amier immediately.

"Congratulations, finally the daughter of the Crawfords is engaged," said a middle-aged woman, Commissioner Hepburn of the mining company. Is one of the shareholders in the Crawford Family company.

Commissioner Hepburn greeted Lylia and Amier.

Amier did not seem to enjoy the event. He looked sullen and sighed repeatedly in annoyance.

After Commissioner Hepburn, several other guests approached them and greeted Amier.

"Mr Jones, when is the wedding? It seems they both love each other," teased a man who was holding his wife. They're from the Madison Family. Just an ordinary rich family who didn't have any influence in the East City.

Loving each other?

It seemed they had forgotten that a week ago the name of the girl Amier would be engaged to was Lylia Crawford.

It seems that a different name, not a problem for the crowd of rich people, claustrophobic the large ballroom.

They seemed more busy with their own business.

The women who like to make gossip prefer to talk in the corner of the room, they don't want anyone to hear when they gossip about someone.

"You know, Amier. Actually, I've liked you for a long time," Myra said in a spoiled tone and then snuggled into Amier's shoulder.

Amier was quite surprised by Myra's statement just now. He never thought that Myra had feelings for him, when he already had a girlfriend.

A week had passed, no one could find any trace of Lylia. Made Amier frustrated. The police have sent a search team, but all failed, no one can get any clues about Lylia's disappearance. They really got dizzy. Even Lylia's former apartment had been searched everywhere. Still, the results were not satisfactory at all!

"Sorry Myra, maybe I need time to give you all my feelings. I still can't forget Lylia."

Myra pouted her lips.

'Perhaps the woman is dead. Why are you still thinking about it! I'm even a thousand times prettier than her, to hell with love. I can make it turn to me!'

'Lylia, you're still a bother!'

"I don't mind, I will wait until you can love me, Amier," Myra said in a tone that was made as gentle as possible. While in her heart she kept cursing Amier and Lylia!

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Gray is having dinner at a fancy restaurant with a very beautiful woman. Everyone in the restaurant stared at the couple who looked so cute together.

Gray who looks charming accompanied by a beauty who has skin so white as when, with a cold and haughty face, made people in the restaurant unable to blink when they saw the figure of a woman who was with Grey.

"Stacy, you don't still remember anything?"

Lylia shook her head, what did she remember?

Whenever she tried to remember something, all that appeared was a white image etched into her memory.

"You've been with me for a week, do you want to go to the doctor so I can check your condition further."

"What is the point? Maybe my past isn't a good thing to remember. So let me forget everything," said Lylia stupidly. She didn't really think much about whether she could recall or not.

"Wait a minute, I have to call someone," Gray said softly.

"Why do you have to go, who do you want to contact?"

"A client. You wait here, I'll be right back, Stacy."

Gray passed, then looked for a safe distance. He pressed a number.

"Hello?"

"Drake, it's me."

"Young Master Wilson, what is it?"

Drake, Gray's private secretary who worked for him for years. He is the one Gray always relies on every time he solves problems.

"You know the girl who's been at my house for a week?"

"Stacy? What's wrong with her?"

"Find out who and where she came from. I feel she is not a random girl. I told you once, that she looks a lot like someone from my past, right?"

Drake nodded, though he knew Gray couldn't possibly see him.

"Yes, I remember."

"Who knows, that woman is someone from my past."

"Alright, I'll be looking for information about her soon. There are more?"

"That's all," Gray replied, then hung up.

When he came back, he saw that Lylia wasn't there. Worry welled up inside him. He tried to call Lylia's cell phone, but Lylia didn't answer, her cell phone was in her bag. Gray had bought her a cell phone, with the excuse that Lylia could easily contact her if she needed anything.

"Ly-"

"What's with your face?"

Gray breathed a sigh of relief for a moment, knowing that Lylia had returned to her seat.

"I thought you—"

"Go? Grey, you seem to have anxiety? You're getting a little nervous, then scared, where do you think I'm going?"

"Sorry, it's just that I was worried about you."

"You are weird, too much," said Lylia curtly.

During her stay with Grey, he never knew if Lylia was smiling or laughing. Her face was always like that, cold and expressionless. Once she spoke, her words would always pierce.

Even Gray felt that, since Lylia's presence, he had changed a bit. Lylia makes Gray have someone he wants to take care of. But Lylia's attitude sometimes irritated him. Every time Gray asked, she would only answer a sentence or two. It was as if her mouth was hard to move.

Thompson, the old man who was the butler of the mansion, was bewildered by the slight change that had happened to Grey.

"Is it wrong if I feel worried, it wasn't long before you had an accident that you forgot everything. Do you think I can't worry about you?"

"Why worry about me?" Lylia answered Gray with a question.

"Of course I'm worried, because ..." Gray deliberately hangs his sentence. He smirked when he saw Lylia's expression as if waiting for his next sentence.

Looks like there's nothing wrong with a little fun. Gray thought at the time.

"Because?" asked Lylia.

"Because you're my fiancé, you don't remember we're getting married soon."
