Chapter 68

At dinnertime, everyone sat in silence and ate their dinner.

Simeon and Sabrina were glaring at Amanda who ignored them completely.

In awkward silence, Amanda wasn't surprised why Nicholas didn't join them.

Her phone vibrated so she excused herself out.

Chase was waiting on a nearby gasoline station.

-

"Hey!" Amanda grinned,

"So, that's it? It's good now?" Chase asked.

"Not yet, really. Simeon's down, but Sabrina's still on the go." Amanda buckled her seatbelt.

"What about Shannon?" Chase raised an eyebrow.

It took a few moments till Amanda answered.

"I took her in. She'll be of good use to me."

"Why?" Chase asked.

Amanda stared at the driveway in silence.

Chase noticed her absence in mind so he decided to take her out.

They stopped at the mall and went on a crazy shopping spree.

He knows how girls loved to buy things without worrying how much they'll pay.

He'll just cover the expenses.

"What am I gonna wear when we meet your mother? What's her taste?" Amanda asked,

"Oh, just wear something presentable." Chase smiled.

Amanda raised an eyebrow, looking disappointed.

"Just. Like. That? Or you don't know what's your mother's taste?" Amanda narrowed her eyes.

'She only wants me to show up with a girl.' Chase scoffed to himself.
