Chapter 38

- Amanda

Hearing those words, Simeon softened his face.

"That's right daughter. Try your best." He put his hands on Sabrina's shoulder,

Sabrina's eyes teared and she hugged Shannon.

"Just remember, I'll support you," Sabrina whispered.

Nicholas looked at Amanda.

He pointed his watch.

Amanda understood and excused herself.

'Time's running fast here.' She thought as she get her things ready.

'Shannon finally understood why she keeps losing hmm. Too bad. Any normal person would take forever to realize. I think I went too harsh.' Amanda went downstairs.

Shannon and Simeon were waiting outside.

"Can't you even see how late you were?!" He scolded,

Amanda didn't bother to apologize.

"Aren't you gonna drive us?" she said instead.

"You should know who you're talking to." He raised his hand to slap her.

"If you're not gonna drive, I'll drive on my own." Amanda smacked his hand.

Amanda started to walk away to the garage.

"Wait!" Simeon called, trying to stay calm.

"Amanda!" He growled.

Amanda stopped and turned her heels.

"Get in the car!" He barked,

"Now!"

Amanda reluctantly went in.

Shannon seemed to be in a good mood.

"So sister, are you always the school's No. 1?" She asked,

"Sort of," Amanda replied looking outside the window.

Shannon gripped her blouse.

'It's really hard to get along with her.'

She thought of something to ask.

"So, if you're that cool. Are you the president?" She finally thought of something.

'She really is good at making people speak.' Amanda looked at her.

"Well, I'm gonna be one." She replied flatly.

"I heard when there are big events in your school, they'll be holding a banquet to celebrate it." Shannon almost squealed.

"You're saying, you want to attend the banquet?" Amanda asked.

'So she figured out what I was trying to say.' Shannon smirked inside.

'She never is the person to be underestimated.'

"Can I?" She asked pleadingly.

"Hmm. I think I have a spare card for your entrance. It's supposed to be for grandpa, but he already has one." Amanda sat back.

"So, I can go?" Shannon asked.

"If you behave well." Amanda nodded.

Shannon squealed in delight.

Shannon tried to ask more questions, when the car stopped at Shannon's school.

"Oh, seems we've arrived. I'll see you later sis." Shannon smiled.

Amanda waved goodbye.

As they drove off Simeon asked,

"Why didn't you tell me about your school's event?"

"Thought you never cared." Amanda shrugged.

"I AM YOUR FATHER. I should know about these things."

"Well if you weren't too busy with your mistress-what on earth were you guys even doing-then you'd know."

"Who are you to talk like that?"

"To someone."

"Amanda, MIND YOUR MANNERS. Unless you want me to kick you out." Simeon warned dead calm.

"Well, if you also respect my rights I will. And you can't kick me out. Because I own the house." Amanda scoffed,

"Oh? And why do you say so brat?" Simeon sneered.

"The will said it is mine. Since I'm old enough, I just wanted to remind you. You guys can never do anything to me." Amanda said dead calm.

This took Simeon aback.

He was left speechless until they arrived.

As Amanda went out of the car, Simeon drove off without saying goodbye.

Well, he never did.
