Amanda thought she was born this way, to be betrayed, and end up like a fool who doesn't know what it is to live like a powerful person. She only dreamed of living a simple life with Edmund, her fiancée. However, she didn't expect to be betrayed by someone she'd loved. She's lost everything but the precious ring her mother had given her. Knowing she couldn't let them have their way, she swallowed the ring before plunging to her death. Chapter 32
"You all better go now," Amanda reminded,
"And make sure no one noticed your bruise, and... if they asked where you'd say you got lost,"
"Why?" Nora asked,
"We don't wanna cause trouble. Besides, you're not invited here," Ivy replied.
The three seemed to understand, so they all took off.
"Thank you for your kindness," Nora turned to Amanda.
Amanda gave a nod as a welcome.
"May I ask your name?"
"Amanda,"
With that, they left after saying goodbye.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for ages!" Asher exclaimed,
"We got lost. It's a big house y'know?" Nora grinned.
Miles ran to them.
"It's not like you've never been to a mega-mansion," Asher looked at her,
"Well, the setup here is kinda, complicated," Nora whimpered.
Asher, and Miles looked at them suspiciously.
To avoid trouble, they let them off the hook.
For now.
Liam, Jason, Nora, Miles, and Asher didn't feel optimistic or comfortable at the rest of the party.
They all look stern observing as Shannon bragged nonstop about her life.
"I take back what I said last year about her being a like a grown woman," Nora stared at the floor,
"Does look like it," Jason agreed.
Shannon seemed to finally notice them.
"Great," Jason muttered as Shannon was closing on to them.
"Hey, guys! How's the party?" Shannon asked as if nothing happened,
"Fine, as usual," Miles replied glancing back and forth to his phone.

Sabrina half dragged Shannon to the kitchen where no one was listening.
"What were you THINKING?!" Sabrina scolded,
"What if the other guests next room would hear of the chaos?"
"What do you mean?" Shannon looked at her,
"Your schoolmates weren't the only guests in this house, Amanda also had invited some over," Sabrina explained.
"So? What if they do hear?" Shannon crossed her arms.
Sabrina rolled her eyes.
"The thing is, they aren't like those commoners you've had." Sabrina scoffed,
"What?"
"They are daughters of some of the most influencial and noble people. I recognized their faces. Ivy Walkers, her father is an important businessman and a billionaire. Ivy is also a famous writer and a movie director. There is also Aurora Lennon, her father is a famous politician. Like her mother, Aurora is a famous supermodel worldwide. Worse, they're Amanda's close friends."
That left Shannon stunned.
"Now you get the reason why you shouldn't throw tantrums around like a kid," Sabrina gave her a stern look.
'That's not fair. She even has powerful friends back her up.' Shannon clenched her jaw distastefully.
After a brief moment of discussion, Shannon and Sabrina finally went to the living room.
Shannon was very upset she didn't know what to do.
So she decided to brag everything out to vent her anger.
It did work out because some of the other girls are jealous.
The others wanted to make friends with her and asking her out.
