Amanda thought she was born this way, to be betrayed, and end up like a fool who doesn't know what it is to live like a powerful person. She only dreamed of living a simple life with Edmund, her fiancée. However, she didn't expect to be betrayed by someone she'd loved. She's lost everything but the precious ring her mother had given her. Knowing she couldn't let them have their way, she swallowed the ring before plunging to her death. Chapter 16
'Where am I?' Amanda slowly opened her eyes.
"Well. She's a cutie."
She looked up to see four men standing before her.
"She's awake," one of them pointed.
'They're familiar,' Amanda looked at them,
'A gang eh.'
"Whoa! Look at that. She's brave, not at least scared." They laughed,
"I'm sure the boss would like her"
They all walked out leaving her tied up in the chair.
In Amanda's experience, she is always alert and her mind is fast when it comes to dangerous situations.
Making sure the coast is clear, Amanda pressed the button at the end of her bracelet.
It displayed a sharp long blade.
She used it to cut the rope.
As she snuck out, she noticed something familiar.
'That mark,' She went closer.
'Stealth Legion gang mark' (SL gang)
This made her stop in her tracks and turn back.
Years ago, someone plotted to kill Amanda's mother.
The SL gang is part of the plot.
The culprit carefully did it step by step until Selene walked into her trap.
After her death, Amanda swore to find the culprit behind her mother's death.
But first, she needed to get rid of the branches.
She pulled out her bracelet and reassemble it like a knife.
She used her scarf to hide her face.
Then she marched in back.
She already knew who the leader of the gang is.
She needed to interrogate him.
She snuck in through the open ceiling.
As she scanned through the men, she immediately recognized the leader,
He got a haircut.
Luckily, he was alone as he walked into the room.
When she had the chance, she immediately attacked him silently.
She put him in an inescapable lock.
"Ugh! Who the hell are you?!" He yelled groaning,
"Shut up!" Amanda pointed the blade to his neck.
"What do you want?" He asked lowering his voice,
"Good question. Don't worry, if you answer my questions, I'll let you off." She pulled a gun from his pocket and held it to his head.
"You're a woman?" He looked surprised,
Amanda ignored him.
"Did you kill Selene?" She asked,
"Why do you ask?"
She gave him a silent look to let him know he was supposed to answer the question.
"Yeah," He looked down,
"For what reason?"
"Someone paid me a huge sum to do it."
"Who were they?"
"A man and a woman. They're a couple who looked rich."
"Tell me who were they?"
"I can't give out information,"
"Who. Were. They."
Amanda repeated.
He sighed.
"He said he was Simeon Wiles. The woman was someone named Sabrina, I think."
