Lunatic Selling Charms

At the Old Age Home, all people were laughing to their hearts while rolling and some even held their stomachs.

Meanwhile, Ye Qian had an awkward smile on his face seeing all of them.

'What's wrong with Little Qing's mother asking for my return?'

'Sigh let them smile it is good for their health anyways.'

Ye Qian sighed and looked around for Little Qiqi.

Soon he found a small head peeking among the old ladies smiling at him.

It was like she knew Ye Qian was looking for her.

Ye Qian went to her and squatted.

"Butterfly, how about Papa come back after doing some work while you play with Grandpa and Grandma here."

"Papa, where are you going?"

"I will go out to make some money so that I can cook a special dinner for my Little Butterfly."

"Alright, Papa, Qiqi will play here, but you must bring Qiqi some cake."

"Sure my Butterfly, Papa will bring some cake for you. I will come back before Mumma does so that we will welcome Mumma."

Ye Qian pinched her nose in a playful manner.

"Yes, Papa, we will give a surprise to Mumma."

Little Qiqi's eyes shone like stars.

Ye Qian stood up and looked at Grandma Xue, to which she nodded and said.

"Don't worry, Qiqi has always been with us, you can work carefree while she is here."

Grandma Xue smiled as she placed her hand on Little Qiqi's head and gestured to him to not worry.

Ye Qian nodded and looked around as he saw many were calling out for Qiqi to play with them, while some of them were even fighting with each other for Little Qiqi to be with them.

Meanwhile, Little Qiqi ran around as a Small Swallow, loved by everyone in the hall.

Seeing this Ye Qian felt his heart overwhelmed with happiness, seeing his daughter being so happy with all.

'She is like Mengmeng always playful and accepting everyone in her heart.'

With that, he turned to the door and walked out of the door while carrying his bag.

Soon he walked out of the Old Age Home entrance and turned to the area where the Ancient Relic Market was.

After searching, wandering and asking around for more than 15 minutes Ye Qian finally found the Ancient Relic Market.

The place was very bustling and many people quarrelled with the shop owners for getting a bargain.

As Ye Qian saw around, he saw many kinds of old and fascinating artifacts were sold here, there were some old shops that had been in business for around two to three generations.

Many small vendors were selling charms all around the place.

Ye Qian took a glance at the charms they were trying to sell here. The charms were made from normal Yellow Paper without any Spiritual Force lingering in them so they wouldn't have any kind of effect at all even if people were to buy those.

Nevertheless, they were sold at a very cheap price; starting at around 50 Yuan to 100's Yuan for a sheet, while there were very rarely any which were priced over 500 Yuan.

Of course, Ye Qian wouldn't be ready to sell these charms so cheap, as they were worth treasure if people were to find out the truth about them.

As a means to prevent being recognized or even interrogated by people, Ye Qian used a technique that he learned from the Greater Heaven, which could be used to change some of the facial features according to one's wish, now he had a dark complexion but he still wore a hat with a low rim.

He found a place in Ancient Relic Market where there seemed to be no one around and set up his small stall.

He opened the piece of dark garment which he brought with himself and placed the few charms on it while standing beside it.

Although there were many guards in Star City, there weren't any in the Ancient Relic Market, so there was no one who came to bother Ye Qian, thus giving him a lot of relief.

Soon after 10 minutes passed, no one walked around to even ask about his charms.

As there wasn't anyone who could advertise how good his charms were, no one tried to buy his charms.

As Ye Qian had nothing to do he simply closed his eyes and started meditating since there was no Spiritual Energy he couldn't even cultivate.

So he simply closed his eyes and sat there.

"Hey look there is something called Spirit Cleansing Charm here, and what's this? Hey, boss how does this thing work?"

A woman and a man walked in front of Ye Qian as the woman asked.

Ye Qian didn't think there would be someone who would ask about the charms functions.

He opened his eyes and stood up with joy. 

"The Spirit Cleansing Charm helps you in getting rid of any kind of injuries or damage within your body be it old injury or any kind of disease."

The man and woman raised their brows and turned to each other.

This was really something new, they had never heard of something like this, this small palm-sized paper could sure any kind of disease or injury.

"So how much is this charm for?"

The woman asked with a sneer, to her, there was no such thing as a charm, mostly she was interested in the charm as it was small and had some really good engravings on it and rather seemed like a piece of art.

Hearing her question Ye Qian's eyes brightened as he hurriedly said.

"Any of the Charms is 50,000 Yuan's a piece..."

"Are you fuck!ng out of your mind!"

Before Ye Qian could finish speaking, he received curses after which the couple turned around and started walking off in the distance while turning their backs.

Ye Qian didn't even have the chance to say the other uses of the charms and their properties before he was labelled as a lunatic.

Still, he didn't feel bad about it as he knew that few people would realize the value of these charms.

He again closed his eyes and went back to his meditation.

He knew that only people who could recognize the worth of these charms were those with keen eyes and had some innate attraction toward the spiritual force.

After another half an hour many people came to visit his stall, many of them would come just to ask for the prices, but he hadn't sold any till now.

Moreover, his stall was becoming famous in the Ancient Relic Market for the sky-high price of his charms.

Ye Qian's stall became a big joke in the Ancient Relic Market.

Many people were talking about Ye Qian's charms in the market for his price after about an hour of his arrival.

"Hey did you see there was a man selling charms near the old pawn shop?"

A middle-aged man growled as he talked to the one in front of him.

"Hehe, he is dumb or does he thinks that his charms really work?"

The other sneered as he looked in the direction where Ye Qian stood with his eyes closed.

"Well, he is a newbie so don't worry, he will surely know the market and know his value."

"Or he will run after conning someone with much power here. Hehe."

The middle-aged sneered as he also turned in Ye Qian's direction.

Meanwhile, Ye Qian stood at his stall like a statue.

Though he was also worried and not feeling good about the selling of these charms. He had no other choice if he needed some money instantly.

And there was no way anyone would give him money first for a job.

But he insisted to wait here until Yuan Meng was about to return.

Many people visited and shook their heads as they compared Ye Qian's Charms to that of others.

Sure enough, there was a huge difference, as the charms which others sold were about nearly as big as one's whole arm, while Ye Qian's charms were barely even enough to fit in your palm.

There was never a stall that sold charms for 50,000 Yuans and there was no negotiation as well.

Because of this, it was not at all hard for Ye Qian's charms to become infamous in the whole Ancient Relic Market.

Many people just came to the stall to rebuke Ye Qian for his high price, as they would not have brought them even if their prices were normal.

About an hour later Ye Qian saw the watch on his wrist and sighed.

It was nearly 4:30 so he might have to go to the old age home soon.

He felt sad as he had all the power but no money.

Though he was a sovereign, he never lived to live his life spending in the cultivation world either, he was always worried about Yuan Meng and his to be born child also how he would go back to them.

But now he felt helpless for even after having so much knowledge in medicine and other arts from the cultivation world he couldn't even make some money for his family to have necessary things.

'How am I going to be a good father and husband if I can't even earn enough money to feed my daughter and wife?'

Ye Qian sighed again.

As he was about to pack up the things and was thinking of trying to come back tomorrow or do something else he heard someone.

"Xiaowen, why did you come to this dump yard place, see everywhere it is filled with bogus medicine and other stuff."

"Is this the place where people believe they might find some mysterious and magical stuff or supposedly an old treasure?"

A young man in his mid-twenties spat as he looked around, he was tall and quite handsome and wore a half-canvas suit of Armani.

He had an arrogant look and disgust in his eyes as he looked around the Ancient Relic Market.
