Chapter 6

After the telekinesis, next comes the gravity bounce ball. I have no other good way of saying it. So I start testing with the repulsive ball of gravitational energy. I take a hit if time to channel the magic into my arm without using the telekinesis, but all it eventually takes is instead of reaching out with the telekinetically stretched arm I reach in and scrunch it up like a slinky. The magic gets stronger the further I pull the arm in, odd, but it works!

After condensing the magic it forms the ball, like in game. Will I know what to expect but still it's freaky. In game you won't launch yourself unless you're in the air, but is this a game? Maybe but not for me. I back up so I'm as far from the wall as possible and launch the magic. I move slightly back not dangerously but it seems like it could throw me off balance easily. Not the best in a fight yet, with some practice it would work well.

Gravity magic in game is the most powerful magic, well in my opinion at least. It's also super versatile, flight, no fall damage, knock back enemies, killing downed enemies by throwing them on the floor. Great. But fire magic changed, lightning is a bit different visually but not utility wise. Gravity seems to add some force to the person using it, naturally increasing strength. Or these muscles are made of something I'm not aware of because I don't believe they are dense as I'm not super heavy. I don't think I'm much over 200 but that's hard to check when there are no scales.

It should be helpful for avoiding attacks or for travel. The most fun way to kill someone is holding a tachi sideways and gravity magic dashing to cut off their heads without swinging. WAIT I HAVE A F*CKING TACHI IN MY WAIST. Am I stupid how could I forget a literal weapon on my waist? Actually it might be easy, it doesn't touch me or impede my movements so the only way I know it's there is if I see it.

So the tachi sticks to me like a magnet. Could it be gravity magic? I condense some gravity magic onto my hand and try to pull off the tachi and it comes straight off. Now I have a good weapon! In game weapons never broke so here's to hoping it's indestructible! If not it's going to be a pain to fix. Wait, why didn't the interrogators question the tachi? Is it normal? It shouldn't be, right? Wait why were they investigators instead of tortures. The room looked similar to a one way mirror room too. Coincidence? Maybe.

If not that's some luck

So I unsheath the tachi and swing the blade. I then string the wall with another stroke. It slices through the wall easily, not like butter but like cold cheese. I then practiced sheathing the blade repeatedly, in game it was just a button. I wonder what my next fight will be? Oh should I try imbuing items with magic? I decided to use gravity as it should have the least chance of damaging the tachi. I hold up a hand next to the tachi and form my magic into a ball. I wait for 20 seconds and nothing happens.

Should I try to imbue differently? I try to focus my telekinesis on the sword and nothing happens. Again so I look internally to see what's happening. What is see is the internals of the sword as well as my body's. The sword seems more complicated than my body, surprisingly. It has different molds as well but they are in a zigzag pattern that looks chaotic. So I have two choices: brute force and finesse.

Finesse it is. I slowly let my magic flow into it being much more careful than when I use magic in my body. It slowly fills up the noches one by one and eventually reaches the last Koch in the sword which is at the very top of the sword and it's larger than a normal notch. As the gravity reaches the top a film of gravity magic surrounds the sword making it lighter. Which could be good but if it's super light with no force behind it that would suck.

I swing the gravity enchanted sword and even though it's light and I don't use much force it leaves a ⅓ meter hole in the wall. Easily enough to burst a human head! The gravity magic seems more like force magic than gravity, I should try to find out which is more accurate later.

I lightly let go of the tachi to see if it floats, which it does. Now I just need to check the duration of the imbued magic. While I'm testing how long the sword stays imbued I look internally and I see both my magic in my body. With the tornado I'm my brain about ⅚ the size when I started. I also see a floating mold moving towards me from outside my cell. I open my eyes and see a guard bringing me dinner. He sides it under the bars without saying anything and walks away.

While watching him I kept checking both with my magic sense my new completely original name of magic viewing. And he has a node so do all of the prisoners in cells around me. Which means I should be able to give them magic. Mostly temporary but maybe permanently. Which would help with keeping me safe in this world or what I really want, giving me a better fight! F*ck gotta solve this magic blocking air thing. Does that mean magic is a type of matter or that it can replace matter?

Well it doesn't really matter right now. I shouldn't have thought that, it made me cringe. Now that tachi seems to have lost some of my imbue but not nearly as much as I suspected. It must have been around 15 minutes with all of the magic sense activating. So it should last around 4-5 hours without recharge, due to time going quicker when magic sense is activated. So all I need to do is reattach it to my waist. Which was much easier than I thought. I just held it near my waist and it stuck with minimal amounts of gravity magic on my hand. I guess it's more proper to say binding than attaching but who cares.
