Chapter 21

Or I assume there will be unknown illnesses, this should be the same as the wanna be assassin, lack of magic. So I check her internally and she has regained most of her magic, there looks to be nothing different except for a very very very slight increase in magic capacity, about 0.01 percent. it can increase magic but what the wind guard did which was forceful expansion was much more effective. He gained around 0.1 but was able to attempt it a few days later. As for Eve I'm not letting her touch magic for a long while.

If magic had a face I would punch it! How could they harm a child? Even if it most likely can't think, it cannot be forgiven easily. But earth magic. Eve has earth magic which is an odd type of magic. It didn't have any effect until Eve touched the ground. Does that mean she can only manipulate the ground with touch? Or is she not trained enough? Could she move metal? Or even manipulate it like the ground? Could she form a connection with the ground through a metal staff or a rock one? Can she only move dirt? I guess it will need some more testing! Not now though she has been hurt by magic enough recently! I will not force her to do magic!

"So can I go try it again?"

"Of course!"

"Then go! Lead the way."

"O-ok."

Why did I f*cking agree with that! I just ranted about not letting her do magic! She doing it again instantly! This time I will completely focus and make sure she doesn't pass out! If 3 random guards can do magic without passing out it will be a piece of cake for someone as studious as Eve! She will be the best magic person ever! Earth magic wise. Even she can beat the son of god. Unless. She is taught by him! Maybe she can break the shackles of humanity! But for that to happen must first break what was thought to be possible as a teacher. Done! I'm done after all, I'm sure anything I do will transcend some random dude's hard work!

So I start to walk Eve back to the training field and when we arrive the guards training split start like Moses parting the sea of reeds. Because legit it is believed that he held his staff to push apart the reeds instead of parting the Red Sea, it was the sea of reeds, not the Red Sea.

Well me and Eve walk to the center and see the tied up assassin struggling again. Does he ever get tired? Maybe he's bored. Should I let him talk a bit? He might have some good insights on magic. So I try to take the gag out of his mouth and let him talk. While I'm trying to remove the gag he tries to bite me! For no reason, how could he try to bite someone as non-violent as me, I'm a full blown paciFIST! And he starts cussing me out.

"Just you wait! I'm going to kick your *ss!"

"Ok. I'll wait."

"You son of a b*tch!"

"Did you learn anything magic related while you were tied up?"

"Magic!? You know about the power gifted to me by god?!?!?"

"God's son, not my pops."

He just summons a gust of wind to push me, it basically does nothing except make my clothes rustle. Does it get weaker at a range? Or does it just spread out and eventually dissipate? The fireball I make travel then suddenly disappears, while the lighting spreads the further it goes. So which is it for wind or is it something new? Anyways it seems like he can only make wind blow somewhere, which I can do with a fan. So he's useless, I'll test him a bit more then kill him, he's lost his worth. Maybe I should try filling his magic nodes much past their limits and see what happens. Will he explode? Will he explode in a burst of wind or a different kind of magic? Does the magic I put in his body instantly become his? Sooo much to test!

I once again put a gag in his mouth so he can't speak. I turn to Eve only to see her looking at him with a look of disgust.

"Could you please try to channel magic?"

"Yes I will do my best!"

"No."

"Huh? You disagreed? You may be strong but you're my guard. Yes?"

"Yes but I get a say in what you do."

"How does that make sense?"

"It does."

"That's not fair!"

"It is."

"No it's not!"

"It is."

"Fine!"

"Channel a little of your magic, not all of it, just try to make a little bump of dirt, not a wall."

"How is that going to make me a hero!?"

"Hero's start weak and become strong."

"No hero's get power from the gods and destroy everything in their way, then they marry a princess and live happily ever after."

"That's stupid, everyone needs training, even heroes."

"Really how much did you train?"

"I didn't."

"Then how are you so strong?"

"I'm better."

"Well you're my guard so I'm better than you."

"No you're not. You need to train."

"This makes no sense!"

"Yes it does."

Don't kids naturally listen to adults? A few minutes ago she was asking if she could use magic. Now she is prolonging the time before she can use magic, she may be book smart but she's still a kid. Also when I first met her she was so nice! What happened to her? Wait. Did my power run off on her? Is that why? Or is the magic node in her head affecting her? What's happening? Was she always like this? Oh! She's trying to be like me! She must see me as the coolest person ever! So she wants to act like me!

It should teach her a few lessons on how to be awesome! It should be easy like everything else right?
