Chapter 12

Here I am leading Eve to the study room! My lessons will be legendary, in the history book it will be written. Maximus the most handsome man ever alive, it is said that he made every person he came across fall deeply in love with him! He was also a good teacher, but his looks were otherworldly! And we arrive at the study, I open the door and lead Eve in. First thing I'm going to teach in MATH because I'm not confident in my language skills. But I'm sure I still overwhelm any teacher with my subpar skills, it's me after all.

"So Eve, what level of math can you do?"

"I can count to 20."

"Ok that's a start we're going to get you to count to 100 by the end of the week!!!"

"Wow."

I knew I would shock her but she needs to gain some resistance to it! If she is so shocked every time I might not be able to teach anything at all. She may be looking at me like I'm stupid but I'm sure it's just her resting face and she's so shocked she can look any other way!

So I began to teach her basic counting skills, but I didn't account for the bit where she learned Roman numerals, not normal math! So I'm going to have to reteach her! After an hour she had all of the numbers down! 0-9! It was a pain to explain to her what 0 is because it's not really anything, it's the absence of something. Then she asked what an absence is, so I had to explain that, like a rabbit hole, down and down. And I learned she might not like to talk normally but she loves to ask questions.

Like "why do 7 and 1 look alike." And I had to explain to her that my handwriting is not the best. Among mortals they just can't understand its elegance, heck most times I can't either! She also asked "why is 6 an upside down 9" and I said it's because 6 is a lower number so it's more down to earth and she asked "what does down to earth mean?" So I had to explain again, this teaching stuff is harder than I thought and it's only been 1 hour. And I need a brain break! So… Garden time!!!

"Hey Eve, let's stop for a bit, it's garden time."

"But we just started learning?"

"You need time to let the knowledge sink in."

"Where's it sinking in?"

"Your brain."

"But Miquel said it is stored in the soul."

"Well he's wrong."

"Ok!!!"

She knows how to talk back, gosh that was odd. But that must mean she's warming up to me! And she sounded happy when she learned something accurate after learning something wrong. She may just be a truth seeker! New goal is to turn her into an alkimist, she will turn stone to gold and make her immortal. Naturally I don't need her immortality as I'm already a god!

We finally reach the garden and I walk her around once again pointing out flowers that only look pretty. Until I see something lunge towards us out of the corner of my eye I reach out and block whatever it is from hitting Eve. Only for it to be a snake, a snake, A SNAKE! I start hyperventilating, at extreme speeds! Only for Eve to grab it off my arm with one hand by holding it behind its head while her other hand holds the end of its tail.

A SNAKE! It bit me, am I going to die? Sh*t, I'm too perfect for death! No, the snake has Eve. I have to protect her, it seems to look like it was caught by her but I bet it's just the snake's ruse! It's waiting for me to freak out before it lunges. I can wait.

"My hands are getting tired, please help."

Eve's asking for help! I need to stop the snake! I unsheath my sword by lightly coating my hand in magic and ready myself.

"Eve throw the snake!"

So looks at me like I'm crazy but she throws it and I slice it in half mid air, staining the floor with its blood. Fortunately neither me or Eve got blood on us. These are new clothes and I don't want to ruin them! I sheath my sword while doing so I see my arm, and right where I first blocked the snake, is turning lighter with 2 puncture marks! It bit me. I'm going to die! And I fall to the floor in shock, Me perfection incarnate dying to a demon! How could god die to a demon? I need to make my own angels who will dispose of them for me! Wait did Eve save me? Is she an angel? At least I will die knowing I protected an angel in my life. I truly am a selfless god!

And I sit here for five minutes, as the wound starts to fade I realize I'm going to live. I may have panicked a bit more than I should have. I mean how could a main character die? I have fought multiple foes at the same time a mere snake is nothing! SH*T DID IT JUST MOVE?!?! no? Thank myself! Gosh that scared me. I should burn it just in case, right? So I channel lots of fire magic into my hand.

"Eve step back i'm going to make sure it'll never move again!"

I incinerate it, sending a stream of flames at it! I didn't even know I could do that! I only release the flames after 2 minutes of torching and only a charged spot on the floor is left. I guess I can also make my flames hotter! I turn to see Eve looking shocked at what I just did, but then she breaks into giggles. Like she just watched the most funny thing ever happen. It takes a bit for her to stop giggling but when she does she looks at me and says.

"How did you make fire?"

"Magic."

"M-aw-jack."

"Yep!"

"Can I do majajack?"

"Maybe but don't get your hopes up I have to test it on others first."

"Ok."
