A girl?

Shin waited outside of the school, leaning against the gate. He was reprimanded by the student council president but not as harshly as she once did. Ran's presence quickly extinguished the fiery flames of Sona Shitori.

Hehh? Does getting scolded by someone with a fake name really turn you on?" Vivi made herself known.

"We're not going to discuss this. I don't want to deal with them. If they want to go to school then let them. Besides, where's Issei? We're going to be late for our shift." Shin looked down at his watch.

"SHIIIIIN!"

He turned around and looked at a running Issei.

"What? What? What happened?" he asked, looking worried for a split second.

"I, ISSEI HYOUDOU, HAVE A DATE TOMORROW!" he pumped his fist as a look of pure joy manifested itself on his face.

"Eh? Some girl felt sorry for your ass and asked you out?" Shin grinned, feeling happy for the man. Issei was a generally nice guy. His perversion might be a turn-off but he was genuinely kind. Any girl who took the time to get to know him would know that.

"Ran! Guess what?"

The dog tilted her head and barked.

"I have a date!" Issei danced outside the school's gates cheering as other students walked by, looking at him weirdly. Shin sighed but settled for feeling happy for his friend.

"Come on, tell me while we're working. We're gonna be late for our shift at Hatch Potch," Shin said.

The Hatch Potch was a quaint little pub located within the suburbs of Kuoh. It was far from the downtown area but still managed to rake in a respectable number of people. Despite being known as a pub, it was more of a cafe. In addition to selling alcoholic drinks, they sold coffee, tea, and lunch. Shin's parents had founded the restaurant when they moved to Kuoh seventeen years ago. And it was here that Issei and Shin were running around, serving people coffee and tea.

Issei's reputation within the neighborhood was drastically different from his reputation inside the school.

Here, Issei was rather respected due to his kind and friendly service.

"Here you go. One vanilla mocha for you and one caramel macchiato for you," Issei said, setting the cups down.

The two women thanked him and Issei walked back into the kitchen. The high he experienced when that girl asked him out was still there. And of course, it translated to his work and to his customers. The pub had a good energy about it.

"Still thinking about that girl?" Shin asked, walking into the kitchen.

"Y- Yeah."

"Ara, Ise-chan has a girlfriend now?" The two turned around and saw a woman with black hair walking in. She had long black hair and brownish-red eyes and a rather pretty face. Her uniform hugged her body, accentuating some of her bigger curves. She could honestly be described as the perfect woman if not for the devilish smirk that could be seen on her face. Issei's cheeks turned red a little upon seeing her.

"Aka-nee! You scared the shit out of me!" Issei clutched his chest, causing the older girl to laugh.

"Nee-nee. Aren't you supposed to be running the bar?" Shin asked.

Akane Faulkner was Shinku's older sister by one year. Like Shin, she went to Kuoh Academy. However, she was a year above them and was rather busy studying. Well, she was busy when she wasn't helping run the family business. Akane had a small smile on her face as she watched the two. And Shin knew that his best friend formerly had a small crush on her when they were in middle school.

"Oh don't worry. I just came back here to get the food that you were supposed to be cooking." Akane's face had a serene but threatening smile on it. Shin blanched and continued cooking.

"I have a date tomorrow. Do you guys think I can get off early?" Issei asked, fidgeting with his uniform.

Akane and Shin looked at each other, having a silent conversation with their eyes. It creeped Issei out whenever they did that. In the seventeen years that Issei knew Shin and Akane, their wordless conversations were the creepiest part of it. It was like the two had telepathy.

"Alright, fine but…" Akane walked up to Issei. Issei turned red a little as his best friend's older sister got close. "You have to tell us all about it the next day okay?"

"You got it, Aka-nee!" Issei said.

"Oi, Issei, be careful okay?" Shin said.

"Come on, man. You know me. I'll be super extra careful but more importantly…" Issei's breathing hitched as images of having a girlfriend he could fondle entered his head. He might actually have a chance to no longer be an omega virgin. And the fact that Issei had a girlfriend before his best friend was something that raised his ego.

"Go on. Shin and I will handle the floor, front, and kitchen. There aren't that many people," Akane said, shooing him with her hand. Issei nodded gratefully and ran back into the employee changing room. Akane sighed and turned to her younger brother.

"I can't believe Issei got a girlfriend already. Time flies by so fast." She wiped a mock tear from her eyes.

"Nee-nee. The bar."

"Don't be such a mood killer. When Issei gets back tomorrow, I'm serving him a beer." Akane walked back into the pub with the food that Shin finished.
