Reviving the Fire Dragon King

Not just Gildarts. But the Igneel was having trouble believing what he just heard.

"Uncle Zeref? I am sorry, what!? Who the heck are you, kid?"

"Uncle Zeref came to visit that Lizard, Zagnivol from time to time. We used to have a lot of talks. He was the one who taught me how to control magic better and some other skills."

"You really surprise me, kid! The fact that you can stand here after living with the Black Wizard is nothing short of amazing."

Igneel gave a heartfelt compliment with those words. He knew full well just how powerful and uncontrollable that curse was. If he didn't have the magic power he did, he would have been nothing but a pile of bones.

"It was nothing much. It didn't seem to affect Zagnivol or me because of the Azure Flame Magic, I suppose."

He then suddenly turned his head and looks in the direction where Gildarts was hiding, eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Gildarts, how long do you plan to eavesdrop on our conversation?"

"Uhh..." Gildarts didn't know why, but he was struggling to find any words to come up right now. Finding out that Shun knew the Black Wizard Zeref had a lot to do with it.

"If you are that worried about Zeref, you need not be. He isn't as you people portray him to be. He doesn't willingly take life. It just happens. Like accidents, you can say. And maybe when he gets attacked but that's just natural I believe..."

"It just happens? Like accidents? It's natural…? What are you talking about Shun!? Do you realize you are talking about lives here!? Is this why you feel no compassion over injuring someone or taking someone's life? Because you lived with such a ruthless guy?" Gildarts was rarely angry, but when he got angry, it was for a good reason.

At those words, Shun started chuckling a little before he started laughing loudly, "How interesting of you to say that. It's rather ironic how your magic is also not in your full control. Isn't that the whole reason why Gildart Shift happens? So that you don't destroy their stuff accidentally? The same is the case with Zeref… Well, instead of things, he breaks people."

He said with a somewhat calm and joyful tone.

Gildarts had a complicated expression as he couldn't understand what Shun was talking about. As he was thinking, Shun decided it would be better to explain things a little, "Zeref's whole family died due to a Dragon's attack on their village. After he was done explaining things, Gildarts face seemed like it had some clarity over it. He wasn't entirely sure if he should trust this information, but he was willing to bet over it.

He looked at the vast Dragon next to Shun. It was the Fire Dragon Igneel. He had heard about it from Natsu but looking at it so close was really suffocating. He felt like it would be better to leave for now.

"Now that we are finally alone… Mind explaining a few things? What is happening here!? I want to know everything or the next thing you will see is me taking a step beyond…"

Igneel's eyes glinted with sinister intent as he thought 'Take a step beyond? Is he hinting that he would use Dragon Force? How? There is no catalyst here which could help him activate it… or is there something else he is hiding right now? Anyway, it's better to explain it for now… fighting him right now won't do Natsu any good.'

As he finished thinking, Igneel further thought with an irritated look 'Damn it. This is so frustrating. If only I had my complete body to fight against that Acnologia, I would have a chance to enjoy the fight which was gonna happen here.'

And with that, Igneel proceeded to explain everything to Shun. About E.N.D. How it was related to Zeref Dragneel. How he met with Zeref. And how all these Dragons and these Dragon Slayers come from a 400-years-old past with the Spell Caster Anna Heartfillia. And… About Acnologia.

After Igneel finished explaining, Shun finally understood a lot of things. He started laughing out loud and said, "So, the King of Fire Dragons has been forced to run away to the future to save his own hide. This Acnologia seems really ruthless. To think he is making the Dragon Kings run away to the future. HAHAHAHA…"

"Shut up, human! You have never seen Acnologia. Never felt his great and seemingly unlimited power."

"True enough… If I take it that Acnologia is as powerful as you are, then it really is a monster. I guess I won't stand much of a chance right now. I guess I need to start training again…"

"Very well then… Now, I shall rest this Spirit Body into Natsu's body again. Do keep it hidden from him."

"Well… I have a better plan. I am going to heal your injuries. This body of yours will be just like the way it was at your peak."

Those bold words shocked Igneel, the King of Fire Dragons. He stared dumbfounded at Shun and asked almost in an excited state, "You can do that!?"

"I don't really know… I have never tried healing a Dragon before. Killing one is easier than healing, after all."

Another bold statement but Igneel didn't know if it was just bravado or the truth. He didn't care about that.

"Let's see now…"

It took him more than half an hour to heal the Spirit Body of Igneel back to his full strength. Now… He was strong enough to fight against Acnologia!

Igneel looked at Natsu and was about to go back in that Shun suddenly shouted out, "Stop! Don't go inside Natsu again."

"What are you saying?"

"This is not the reason I healed you. I healed you so that you can go and take care of Acnologia. This is a problem between you dragons, right? Go and deal with it."

Shun said with a really calm expression, he looked earnest as he finished speaking.

"I hate to admit it, but Acnologia would still be able to defeat me. It won't be long before I run out of magic in a fight against him since this is just a Spirit Body. The most I can do is distract him for a couple of minutes."

The expression on Shun's face didn't change, "I see… I never did say that you have to fight him right now. And that Spirit Body thing, you are wrong about that, I have rejuvenated your body, as well. It should be as strong as your old body. Try to use some magic. Maybe a Roar in the sky… That way, it wouldn't hurt anyone!"

The Igneel's eyes widened, and he immediately raises his head. He shouts out loud, "FIRE DRAGON KING'S ROAR!"

The Roar of considerable width and very loud that people could see it from miles away. It was like a volcano had erupted. No… Even more significant than a Volcano.

The sound was so massive that the entire Magnolia seemed to have heard that Roar and some people were falling down unconscious because their mental power couldn't keep up. Even in the guild, the people could feel the heat from the Dragon King's Roar from so far away.

"What happened!?"

"A volcano exploded I tell you. Look outside..."

Everyone witnessed the same scene outside, which seemed to continue for a few more seconds.

Shun remained unfazed at this enormous amount of power. He had witnessed Zagnivol's high strength. Igneel still needed a lot more years to catch up with Zagnovil.

The result of the Roar was astounding even for Igneel, "I am healed! I am perfectly healed!" He was pretty excited over the fact that he had completely healed now.

"Yeah-yeah… Don't go and fight against Acnologia right now. Get used to your body and wait for some time. I will send all the Dragons I can. More the help, the better. The next one can be hmm… Grandeeney, I guess."

"Very well. I, The King of Fire Dragons Igneel shall never forget this favour. I swear to stay loyal to you and never attack you in my entire life. This body you have granted me… You can take it away any time you wish to."
