Attacking During Opponent's Transformation
"I grow more curious about you, Acnologia. He told me you are a beast who solely wishes to destroy everything but the fact that humanity still lives after 400 years does prove that's not it."
Acnologia ignored his musing, he was only focused on one thing. This boy seemed to know where the Black Wizard was.
"Mentioning the Black Wizard in front of me was a mistake. You will take me to him now!"
"I will? How interesting… Can you catch me, though?"
Shun disappeared and reappeared in front of him. He again went and continued to flick around Acnologia. Not too far from him nor too close.
Just the right distance which seemed to state as if he was mocking Acnologia's slow speed.
"Awfully confident in your speed, huh? In my Dragon form… It's indeed impossible to match you in speed."
"Dragon Form? Sorry, what?" This was a new term for Shun.
At this moment, his eyes widen in terror, "No…! You can't mean!"
Acnologia flashed with a bright white light as Shun's thoughts were slowly being answered. He immediately made his move and gave a powerful kick to Acnologia's head.
In the middle of him shrinking his body, Acnologia's body was without any defence. His body was thrown far away and crashed into the ocean.
Shun didn't waste a single movement and boosted his speed as much as he could. He immediately took Wilson who hadn't been noticed by Acnologia till now and ran for his life.
Shun threw a few Azure Flame Exploding Lotus towards his left direction of the ocean. He wished for nothing more than to change Acnologia's sense of direction even by a little.
However, this was becoming too close for comfort. Fortunately, Shun reacted quick or else he would be added as Acnologia's recent victims.
This encounter was also enlightening. Shun now understood what Zeref meant by Acnologia protecting humans earlier in his days.
This Apocalypse Dragon was a Dragon Slayer! He was a human before he had been influenced by killing too many Dragons.
With the way, Acnologia reacted to Zeref's name, he understood that Zeref probably had something to do with it also.
The fact that Acnologia could switch between his forms to fight against his enemies really made Shun want to shout out loud "CHEAT! CHEAT ABILITY!"
He couldn't be blamed for thinking like this. Even his flames were useless when it struck the Acnologia's hard scales. This meant that the magic Acnologia had was nearly on the same level as that of his own Azure Flames.
He strangely got excited at the prospect of fighting Acnologia again. Even Igneel or hearing about Natsu's E.N.D form didn't make him this excited. His blood gushed at the anticipation of his reunion with this strong Dragon.
Next time, he won't have to utilize these cheap tricks. He would ensure that he was strong enough to deal with Acnologia in terms of power.
"Wilson…If you are indeed a Godbeast, a Beast of Calamity. I call dibs on fighting Acnologia first."
"I don't have a single thought of fighting that monster! Fuck! I have never been so scared in my life. That pressure was suffocating!"
"So, Zagnivol was even stronger than Acnologia at his peak? Damn… If he wasn't injured by the Dragon God, it would be foolish to even think of going against him. Too damn strong!"
Wilson didn't know what he was talking about, but he did agree that Acnologia was too damn strong for himself.
Shun could finally see the islands now. After these islands were the Kingdom of Fiore.
He sensed Acnologia's presence moving towards the direction in which he threw those Exploding Lotus.
His decision to throw them was right. Acnologia pursued based on his senses as well. So… Shun threw those Lotus with a concentrated amount of his presence.
They could keep him occupied for long enough to let Shun getaway.
Soon enough, Shun did enter the Kingdom of Fiore and just straight up stopped using any magic. He prevented any leaks of magic from his body to make sure Acnologia couldn't sense anything.
After half an hour, when he was finally sure that Acnologia wouldn't be able to follow him, Shun finally took a breath of relief.
It was nearly evening time now. Shun was about to go around to eat something at some restaurant, but realization dawned upon him as he remembered all his jewels were back at his home in Magnolia.
So… A Dragon Slayer and an irritated Exceed roamed in the streets with empty stomachs.
"I really don't understand how you can plan for so many things but forget the jewels back at the house. Your plan to die of starvation?"
"I already said I am sorry, you know! I… I just forgot."
"Sorry doesn't satisfy my hunger. Say something to my grumbling stomach."
"Ehem… I do apologise to my lord Wilson. I shall never make such a mistake again."
"That's right. We will be dead till then you stupid idiot! If I really am a Godbeast, it will probably be the most pathetic death in the history of the Godbeasts!"
"At least it will be a unique death, I would say."
"Right..." Wilson says sarcastically and further adds, "When other Godbeasts ask me how did I die? I would tell them that I died to a fucking Hunger! Dammit! We can't even use our magic to catch fish, who knows if that monster will pick up our magic or not!"
"True. I had like to remain away from the sea for some time. As long as we remain in this place, Acnologia shouldn't sense us."
They continued to stroll around for another hour. Tired and really hungry, both sat on the benches while they thought 'I wouldn't mind eating a devil at this point.'
Finally, it seemed as if fate had its mercy over them.
A long brown-haired woman pointed at Shun's direction and shouted with a strange fanatic look on her face, "Oh my god! Isn't that Shun!?"
The people nearby heard her shout. They all turned towards the woman's direction and then towards Shun's direction.
