CHAPTER 22, THE GATE IS OPENED

As the golden light subsided, I noticed my hair had grown yet again and my magical power had also grown. I felt stronger and just then, I felt a powerful pulse from within me. "Oh Hero who has awakened, may you be guided by thy heart to victory." The voice whispered in my ears.

"Try as you may, I have succeeded." Shade as he opened the Gate. Then from the Gate a dark shadow mist poured out, from the mist a demon appeared. Unlike normal demonkins, this one was like a chimera... a monster born from animal parts unified into one. With wings of a bat and the head of goat, it stood thirty feet tall. "W-what is that thing!?"

"A Demon Lord... this is bad. Close that Gate you idiot!" I shouted at him but the Demon Lord lowered his foot right on Shade and he died.

"Haru, what are we going to do?" Aria askes me.

"Take cover everyone! I need to get the Peacock Medium or else the Duke won't change back to normal." I told her and ran for the pedestal but the Demon Lord trued to lower his hand on me.

"Run forth oh Light, blessed by the gods, Pure Javelin." Yue chanted and shot a javelin made of light at the Demob Lord. "Hurry please, Haru-san, we'll handle the Demon Lord until then."

"Heavenqard Dance of the Wind." Storm suddenly jumped into the air and blades of wind attacked the Demon Lord. "Go, hurry!"

"I understand! Thanks!" I shouted and ran for the pedestal.

While they fought I stood at the pool of blood of the once living man named Shade, on the ground the Medium was soaked in blood. I summoned Pavo and he appeared, dressed in a formal wear, he held a fan. "Please undo the spell on the Duke." I asked hin and he smiled and took a kiss and he held a feather to the air and the feather disappeared.

"The Demon Lord is our only problem now." Aria said and just then, I saw demons swarming in from the door.

If only I could close the Gate, but the pedestal was destroyed. I'll have to destroy it first, but according to the book the only thing powerful enough to break the Gate is the power of the Stars. I see... with the power of the Familiars but to do I'll newd all hands on deck yo make up for the missing Zodiacs. "Crystal Melody!" I heard Alexi shout and a giantic crystal lnocked away the Demon Lord's tail that was headed for me.

"Please keep it busy just a little bit longer, I'll destroy the Gate." I told them.

"Okay then." Master answered and I fell on my knees.

"Oh Familiars that serve me, I ask for your help, please grant me the power to dispel the darkness." I chanted a spell and a golden light engulfed me. "Cone Familairs of the Hero, Constellation."

With a golden light the Familiars who are serving under me appeared. Leo suddenly opened his mouth and whispered something in my ears. The Spell for rewriting the Familairs? The spell to bring out their true power, which is the only thing strong enough to break the Gate. "Haru, you can do it." Aqua said with a smile.

"Do it..." Lupus said with his usual hot-and-cold personality.

"Familiars created by the first Hero, abandon your old form and reincarnate, under the name of the new Hero, let your true power awaken. Open, Gate of the Familiars, Constellations." I casted a spell that I created myself abd the Mediums that were surrounding me shattered and everything around me were keys, the Familairs suddenly jumped into the air and smashed the door. They disappeared but the Demon Lord was still there.

"Haru!" Aria came running but the Demon Lord was about to hit her with it's foot.

"By the power of the Hero, I order you, protect the one I will. Heaven's Blessing!" I chanted a spell and created a shield around Aria. Thankfully it held. "I'll end it here."

"Haru?" Storm turned to me as I held my whip.

I charged at the Demon Lord and dodge eveey on of its attacks, and with quick swing, the whip cut off its head and the river of blood came flowing out.

The match is finally over, I feel to the ground unconscious after that.

I opened my eyes and I was in a bed, beside me Aria, Yue and Stella-sama sat. The others walking around in a frantic manner. "H-hey, how long has it been?" I asked the three.

"Haru!" Aria exclaimed and hugged me immediately.

"How are you feeling?" Master asked.

"I'm fine, more importantly, what happened?" I asked.

Aria explained everything to me. After the fight, all the members of Shadow's Order were apprehended and thrown into prison. The Star Gate has been destroyed without a doubt. The Demon Lord has been killed and the Duke has returned to his sense. It has been a week since I collapsed of exhaustion. The battle is over, everyone has decided to return to Goshenite Town after this. "Oh right, we also have good news." Yue said and held my hand.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Ella-chan will be joining us." Aria said.

"Ella-chan?" I asked.

"T-that is me." Stella-sama said and held my hand. "Please take care of me from now on, darling."

"Ehh?!" I asked.

"The two pf us agreed to it. She wants to your bride as well. If it's okay with you?" Aria said with a smile.

"It's finw with me if you all agree to it." I said.

As the dyas passed we returned to Goshenite Town. I was excited, to see what new adventures would await us. With the new friends we've made and the new power I gained. From here on out, the days are going to change and everything will be an adventure. With my three fiancees and my new family. I'll look forward to the day where we can go to the Aerial Isles but until then, we'll live our normal days ful of happiness and joy. I'll fulfill my role and protect the ones I love with the power I have gained.
