CHAPTER 15, ROYAL GATHERING AND THE ECLIPSE

After rejoining the fiancees with Flora and Rue behind me the others simply sighed and smiled at me. "You... are truly a man." Clover said hitting his face.

"What are we talking about?" I asked as I turned around.

"Nothing." They answered.

As we got to know Flora and Rue more, we enjoyed our time together and as days passed, the festival's end was approaching. And, as unbelievable as it may sound, rulers from atleast half of the nations in continebt and the western continent have gathered here. The people present in the throne room are:

For our first try at peace so many nations have gathered. I'm wonder how good things will be for all of us. I've got Muska patroling the nearby area to ensure no enemy is in sight. "On this great occassion, I, Alexander Diamond Crystal, welcome you, esteemed geusts to my daughter's engagement party as well as Thanksgiving Festival." Emperor Alexander said as he stood up. I was with Lucia as we stood by Emperor Alexander's side at the center of the throne room.

As the party began, we noticed that sone royals didn't mind talking to commoners or adventurers. "Greetings, Lady Stella, my name is Jack Mysteria Astral." A boy with silver hair, white skin and golden eyes dressed in formal wear said as he bowed before Ella.

"Greetings, Prince Jack." Ella said as she shook his hand.

"Your highness is as beautiful as ever." He said. "Might thy highness be interested in my proposal of love?

"I must decline. My hand and heart already belong to someone." She answered.

Geez... these clothes are too stiffling, formal clothes are too much for me to handle. But, what am I to do? All royalty was asked to wear formal clothes. Most of the royals are either in their forties or have passed their crown to the next generation. "Please, I truly must decline!!" Flora exclaimed as a man made advances towards him... who is that? He wasn't on the list of I'm not mistaken, I saw the pictures of those who were allowed to join the party and I'm sure that that smug, thirty year old man, with gray hair, brown skin and golden eyes wasn't one of them.

"Are you alright, Flora?" I asked as I pushed the man away and held Flora close.

"What is the meaning of this?! How dare you touch her!!" He exclaimed. "What's more, you even pushed a member of the Royal Family Members of Valkyrie!! This means war!!"

"Calm yourself, Prince Gregory." A woman bearing the crest of the Astral Royal Family on her beautiful dress, with black hair, white skin and amber eyes said as she covered her face with her fan.

"Mind your business, Eleanor!!" He exclaimed.

If I'm not mistaken, Rue said that the Valkyrie Empire's Crown Prince was rather unpleasant so we didn't invite them for such reason. "Forgive my rudeness, Crown Prince Gregory." I said and bowed my head.

"You had better stay out of my way!!" He exclaimed as he tried to come closer to Flora who trembled.

"As a member of the Royal Family, please show decency and dignity fitting of one." A boy, he is... the First Prince of the Sacred Nation, Creed. He had long golden hair, with skin and amber eyes. "This is a Royal gathering, please do not bring shame upon your family name."

"Ha? You dare say such things when a commoner holds the First Princess of Alfhiem in his arms?!" He says and points to me.

"Pardon me then, for the late introduction." I answered as I let go of Flora and took out my necklace which I recieved from Hoshi earlier today.

"That Crest... I recognise it." The Emperor of the Dragon Empire said, he had red hair with green eyes and white skin answered.

"I suppose you would, Imperial Highness, as your nation has known of mine since the fifth generation." I answered as I stood with pride. "Sovereign of the Hero's Nation, Tsuki, as well as Princess Rue and Flora's fiancee. Haru Morganite Tsuki."

"So you're the one." The King of the Demihuman Nation Zoo, who was a newly crowned young man said, he had brown hair with brown skin and lion ears and lion tail with amber eyes said. "I heard of you from my friend, Fay. You took out an entire Demon Flock in an instant."

"Your highness, my name is Mia Tetra Magus, I thank you for saving my fiancee's life." A girl with long, flowing pink hair, white skin and amber eyes said as she bowed her head. Fiancee... could she possibly mean... Lux-nii-san? I turned my head to him who simply nodded.

"There is no need to thank me, your highness, it was my pleasure and duty." I answered her as I held her up.

"If I may ask, are you also the one who defeated the Demon Lord? Ah, pardon me, my name is Serene Grace Yggdrasil." A woman with brown skin, green hair and golden eyes smiled as she bowed her head.

"It was him indeed." Lucia answered and Prince Gregory turned his head away and left.

"Truly a wonderful man you have chosen as your daughter's fiancee." The Astrals' King, a man with blue hair, golden eyes and white skin said.

"Indeed." The Yggdrasil's queen, a woman with brown skin, golden eyes and green hair said as she smiled. "And, if I'm not mistaken, the reason we are gathered here is for an Allaince?"

"As sharp as ever, Maya, that is true." King Alexander answered. "Though this only more of greeting, the main meeting shall be held in the Southern Continent, where most of their population is."

"Fuf~u, truly a wonderful day." She answered as we enjoyed our time while they waited for the Eclipse to start at noon.

As noon draws closer, we gathered at the area where we would watch said event. At the arena where many people had gathered, along with the Royal Families of each the many nations we gathered.

"I'm so excited!!" Yue said as she and the other brides held each other's hand.

"Whoa! Look it's starting!!" Zero said and pointed to the sky as the moon slowly covered the sun and the world slowly grew dark and that lit the world was the city lights.

"It's time." We heard voices and we turned our heads to the center of the arena where men dressed in coats and masks stood.

"Who are you?" The Emperor asked.

"Long live Makkai!" He laughed and just the our surroundings were covered in a barrier.

"This is... what is this?" Mai-san asked.

"We, the Researchers of Lost Wisdom now hereby declare a coup and will behead all the Royals here now." He said as he pointed to us.

"Quickly, evacuate the Royals!!" I said and opened a gate to the Aerial Isles. "This way... come quickly."

"We are rulers of nations, why should we be afraid of battle?" Maya-san said and the man was enveloped by trees. "Foolish ones are not needed in this world."

As the barrier fell, demons came swarming in towards our area. I immediately shot them down with some of my power but this won't last long. "Haruki... you need... to hurry!" I heard Haruka's voice say, ut was fading for some reason.

"Master!! Have members go out and help the people!!" I said as I felt countless Demons in the area. "Ray, Gin, Yuri, only you three are capable of using the Seikens so go and destroy as many demons as you can. Lita, set up a barrier here and protect the Royals, we'll have most of the citizens gather here!!"

"Understood!" Yuri answered as she dawned the necklace and in her hand a morning star appeared.

"Let's go!!" Clover exclaimed as he left the arena and headed throughout the town.

"Come forth oh light, become a sanctuary and protect the people, Temple." Lita chanted and the arena was wrapped in light.

"I'll eliminate as many Demons as I can as well. Please protect the people and their hignesses." I said as I activated Divine Trance.

"Haruki! The Star Gate and the leaders of the Researchers of Lost Wisdom have been spotted at the outskirts of town!" Tsubaki-san called out to me.

"Thank you!!" I answered him and took to the skies.

"We'll go when we can!!" Aria shouted to me and I simply nodded my head.

I flew past the crowd and cut every demon I could, on the hill to the south, I saw the light of the Star Gate shining brightly. I'll end this here and now.
