CHAPTER 10, DRINKING AND ALFHIEM IS ATTACKED

We all gathered at the dining hall to eat dinner, everyone was excited for what would happen the day after tomorrow. An Eclipse, it only happens once every twenty years. We were apparently going to watch a rare sight too, as a meteor shower was going to happen. In the dining hall, as we ate, I felt a presence watching me but I ignored it. "Haru, what's with that dull look on your face?" Neph asked, isn't he drunk?

"Come in, there's tons of wine, drink up." Spark said and poured me a cup of ale.

"Thanks." I said and drank the whole cup in one go. "Can't recall the last time I just drank ale for fun."

"You okay?" Silver asked me.

"Ah, I'm fine. I may not seem like it but I can handle my wine." I answered him as I sat down. "I'm more worried about Neph."

"I'm not... drunk!!" He answered as Rose tried to get him to stop.

"Here." I said and shoved a pill straight down his throat. "That'll get him back on track."

"What was it?" Jade asked.

"Sour!!" He exclaimed as he came to his senses. "Haru!! What was that?!"

"Lemon, Lime and extremely sour herb extracts." I answered him. "Oh, should I have given you to spice extracts? Or would you prefer the bitter extracts?"

"No thanks!!" He answered with an angry expression.

"Don't drink if you can't handle it." I told him as I sipped more wine.

"Very true." Dia answered and poured me another cup. "Drink up."

"If you guys think you can get me drunk, you're only wasting your time." I told them as I drank the entire bottle she held. "It takes about fifty barrels just to get me a little drunk. Getting me completely drunk is impossible."

"Oh yeah? Here." Lux-nii-san said and placed a bottle of wine on the table. "It's one of our strongest bottle. Drink it and we'll see if you're still fine."

"Better not, Haru." Himari-san said but I still drank the whole bottle and I do say, it's actually good.

"Well? You still with us?" Queen asked poking me.

"This stuff is good but it needs to ferment a little longer." I told them and downed another bottle while they all looked at me with unbelievable expressions. "I told you, it's impossible to get me drunk."

"Then, perhaps you would like to try this." Scorpio suddenly appeared and presented me a bottle. "It's rather old so it's very strong."

"Bottoms up." I said drank the whole glass bottle's contents. I could taste strong night fruit, it is good. "Got another bottle?"

"Yes." He said and presented me with five more bottles before disappearing.

"Master, the Warehouse has tons of wine, ale and alcoholic drinks if you wish to know." Ray said to me as I downed another bottle. "What's more, a certain sprit has a knack for making good liquir."

"How are you still fine?" Aria asked me as she took my face with a worried expression.

"That's the main family for you. They raised you well alright." Ryu said as he drank a small amount of wine. "I, on the other hand can't survive a large amount of it."

"It's pretty good actually. Anyone want one?" I asked as I held the bottle in my hand but they shook their heads except for Lily and I let her have a cup. She downed it and collapsed. "Anyone else?"

"No thank you!!" They exclaimed as they let Lily rest, her eyes were spinning.

"How are you still alive after drinking all of that?!" Storm asked me as I finished all the bottles of the wine Scorpio brought.

"That's who he is." Lita said as she sat beside me. "Truly a special person."

"I'm only human." I answered and sighed.

"Still, I can't believe no one has called dibs on such a property." Sky said as she drank a cup.

"Thanks for the complement." I told them as we were eating.

Most of us spent thenight drinking and eating and the next day nearly everyone else was flat out unconscious.

I went outside to get fresh air and I was joined by everyone else. We talked a bit and while looking up at the clear blue sky I got a telepathic message from one of the scouts. In the kingdom of Alfheim a horde of demons has been spotted. That's pretty far from here though. "I need to get going, I forgot I had something to do up in the Isles."

"Ehh? Can't it wait?" Dia asked me as we were just about to go inside.

"No can do, my work just piles up if I don't deal with it." I said and opened a portal. "I'll be back before dusk."

"Take care." Lita said kissing my cheek.

The portal was outside the Royal Capital, I used Leon's ability to hide myself and used Apus' ability to fly over the towns and trees, Alfheim is the nation of elves and fairies. It's ruled by two political powers, the queen of fairies and king of elves at moment and is a nation of scientific might.

I reached Alfheim's border after half an hour of flying, when I entered the border I landed on the ground and proceeded forward on foot. I ran past the towns and villages as I ran for the Capital, Sistine. Alfheim is a nation which merged nature and science, elves tend to pursue scientific research while fairies tend to avoid contact with other races. Though both long-lived races, they don't cling to their long lives and in face of danger show little struggle to survive. However, lately they're trying to hone the desire for life and it seems to have grown well in the bext generations.

After running past a town I saw the Royal Capital in the distance. A large tree standing as the castle, with countles air ships circling it. I soared through it and landed in town. According to the scouts it wasn't far from here, a distance from the Royal Capital, Sistine.

In the distance, I saw the dark mist that roled in, overflowing with dark energy I saw demons trying to enter the city. But before they could get inside someone was shooting them down. I descended and saw knights and mages shooting them down with magical weaponry but to no avail. Just then, I saw two girls fighting, one with bright green hair that is long with elf ears and white skin with amber eyes, dressed in partial armor she swung a spear. The other with long golden hair, white skin and golden eyes, she wore a white robe that revealed her wings which were like that of a monarch butterfly. "Hoshikawa." I raised my whip as I stopped the flying demon eyes trying to target the elf girl.

"Thank you." The fairy thanked me and I nodded my head.

"This is getting bad. Rue, return to the palace and warn father and mother." The elf said but the girl shook her head.

"I'm not leaving Flora by herself." She answered as she pushed the demons back with wind.

"Sacred Rain of Blades." I held my sword to the air and blades began to form in the sky, and one by one they fell on the demons. I gained new abilities since Haruka returned half of my original power to me. "It seems all the demons have been put down."

"Yes. Thank you very much for your help." Rue-san answered.

"No. It is my duty." I answered and fixed my clothes. "I must be going now."

"Ah, wait, how can we thank you?" Flora-san asked.

"There's no need to thank me. It's my duty." I answered. "I must be going now."

"Wait, may we know your name?" Elaine-san asked.

"Haruki, Haruki Morganite Tsuki." I answered with a smile and jumped into the air. "Until we meet again, Rue-san, Flora-san." I said and bowed my head before disappearing.

After leaving, I headed back home via Gate and arrived at the mansion in the Aerial Isles. "Welcome back, Master." Ray greeted and I nearly jumped.

"Shouldn't you be with Yuri and the gang?" I exclaimed.

"I was there, a few moments ago atleast." He answered and I sighed.

I went to the kitchen to drink some water before going back down to the city. Everyone seemed to be having fun and when I rejoined them, I noticed people watching us. I had some of the scouts follow them.

I won't let anyone harm the people dearest to me. These happy days we have are my greatest treasure.
