CHAPTER 33 - MY DUTIES, MY RESPONSIBLES (1)

Top of Orochi, Kaga and Akagi are talking to each other, although Akagi seems to be more distracted about another matter.

"So close...so close...", said Akagi. "Just a few more times...and we will meet again, Amagi-neesama."

"Just a little bit more...and we will be a family again"

"Together with him."

Kaga can only watches her sister that enjoying the moments that she has been waiting for. When Akagi met Observer the first time and told him that she can meets Amagi again, she becomes happier.

The moment to see Amagi again influences her into the deepest part of her heart, ignoring the fact that she will sacrifices her owns allies.

"That human won't survive, Akagi-neesama", said Kaga, trying to destroy Akagi's hopes. "After receiving a direct hit from Orochi, he won't make it."

"Ara...aren't you're taking lightly of Kay-sama, Kaga", said Akagi. "No matter how many times you fought him, no matter how many injuries he received...he will survives."

"He is the strongest human, remember."

"And, nobody will able to stop him."

Kaga seems far satisfying with Akagi's answer since Kaga hates Kay very much. She hopes that Kay will died due to that injuries but she knew, he will make it.

"We will revive Amagi-neesama and we will become family again...along side with Kay-sama", said Akagi, her expression is somewhat scarier than before.

While Akagi busy with her daydream, Kaga is trying to think another method to kill Kay. She knew that she can kill him with her own strengths. Orochi may injured him but it's only matter of time before he wakes up again.

"Well, he might be unable to interrupt my plan for quite some time", said Akagi. "I will take this opportunity before it's too late."

"Take this chance while you can, Akagi", said Observer that suddenly appears out of nowhere. She apparently holding a black wisdom cube in her hand.

"Tch...what do you want, siren?", asked Kaga angrily, pretty unhappy about the siren in front of her.

"I just want to give back this wisdom cube", said Observer while giving the wisdom cube to Akagi. "Purifier tried so hard to steal it back from Azur Lane. You should be grateful."

Purifier managed to get back the wisdom cube from Azur Lane. She probably managed to steal it after Kay left with the fleet to search Orochi.

"Without that human, stealing this back is pretty much easier", said Observer. "However, it's kind of hassle since Azur Lane tried to recover back."

"But, she still managed to steal it, right", said Akagi, pretty uninterested with her story. "With Kay-sama is absent from the base, her works is pretty much simple."

When Purifier stole it, Azur Lane tried to claim it back, only to left empty-handed. Purifier managed to run away before the reinforcements came.

Upon getting the wisdom cube, Akagi immediately fused it with Orochi. All the energies that the wisdom cube collected is poured into Orochi, increasing the strength and power to maximum.

"With this power, nobody will able to sunk Orochi", said Kaga."

"I doubt that", said Akagi, making Kaga surprised and confused. "This power is not enough to defeat Kay-sama. We need more...and more."

"What kind of nonsense is this?", asked Kaga furiously. "Are you saying with this power behold by Orochi isn't enough to defeat him?"

"She guess right", said Observer. "It will never be enough to defeat him since he is far dangerous as we expected. That's why we are very careful around him since he alone can kill us immediately."

"This is ridiculous!", shouted Kaga. "He just a single human!!"

"And that human...destroying all our plan to conquer Azur Lane, making our plan delay from what we expected", said Akagi. "Even though, I really hate it...but I will acknowledge it."

"Since my love...is greater than him."

"............"

"Just do whatever you want, Akagi", said Observer. "That human is not a problem for us anymore."

Observer planned this plan carefully in order to reach the expected result. She knew that a single silly mistake will cost her life.

"You don't have to worry, Kaga", said Akagi, assuring Kaga. "That's the reason why he is in sleep, to prevent him from interrupting our plan."

"We will using this opportunity...before he wakes up."

Azur Lane, the fleet already returned to base safely but the faces shown otherwise. They have nothing to bring but just bad news that occur upon them.

They lost their commander and without him, Azur Lane might in trouble. Of course he is still alive, but without him in their side will only bring them down to deep thought.

Currently in the meeting room, consists of Royal Navy.

"Welcome back, Wales", said Queen Elizabeth. "We already heard the detail from Helena, but...is that true?"

"It's true, my majesty", said Wales, hesitated to answer her question. "Our commander is badly injured and currently at Sakura Empire. Their leader, Nagato, guaranteed his safety and promised to treat him."

"So, we left commander in their hands", said Hood. "I don't think I will be happy about that but I assume our commander knew what to do."

"There is nothing we can do", said Wales. "If we bring him back, he will eventually died. We had no choice."

"Don't worry that much", said Queen Elizabeth, reassuring Wales. "If we have more problem that coming to our hands."

The wisdom cube has been stolen by Purifier immediately after the time Kay collapsed. They fail to retrieve it back. However, the jade broaches still in Kay disposal as he refused to store the wisdom cube in his watch.

He said that the wisdom cube may affected his watch and he can't take the risk. Eventually, the wisdom is stored in Azur Lane.

"So, they managed to get the wisdom cube back", said Wales. "We probably can expected that will eventually happens. Although I never thought they will steal it after our commander..."

"That's enough", said Queen Elizabeth. "We have to acknowledge that they managed to get it back. The main question is...How can we get it back?"

"............."

"My master has given the order before he collapsed", said Belfast. "And that order including...to ignore the enemies."

"What!! But why?", asked Queen Elizabeth.

Belfast told everything that happens in that mission, including the cell. The way how Kay bravely fought the cell with his current injuries. The way how Kay managed to protect them from the enormous beam and still able to force the cell to retreat.

"No way...our commander did that?", asked Hood for confirmation. "Is that true, Wales?"

"It's true", answered Wales. "When we barely to lift our muscles, even though we are more fit than him...he still able to fight that creature."

"And the most important part, he still protecting us from that creature...in front of everyone including Sakura Empire."

"Sakura Empire probably more surprised than us since they didn't expect the enemy commander will protecting them for that creature."

Upon seeing the creature, these girls became scared since they never saw that monster in their entire life. They can only watched Kay doing the hard work, feeling ashamed.

"My master heroic actions can't be ignore", said Belfast. "Even though his order is blasphemy, the least thing we can do are to accept the order...no matter how much we hate it."

"..........."

They are hesitating, wondering they should just accepting the order.

"So, his braveness saved us again", said Queen Elizabeth. "I don't think we have no reason but to accept."

"But, there will be a problem...Eagle Union. Let see how they will react."

Meeting room, Eagle Union.

The room is pretty much heavier than Royal Navy, full with silent and questionable. The leader, Cleveland started the meeting without Enterprise which is still resting in her owns room.

"I might already heard the detail from Helena", said Cleveland. "Since Washington, North Carolina, Essex and Shangri-La already here, can we hear the....."

Before Cleveland managed to finish her sentences, Washington suddenly stands and trying to tell the others.

"I have something to say", said Washington. "May I, Cleveland?".

"Yes, as you please", said Cleveland, giving her the permission to talk.

"WE SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED FOR OUR SELF", said Washington, making the others confused and surprised.

"The way some of us including me, treating the commander the way that we supposedly shouldn't do are beyond accepted. We should feel ashamed of our self and feel sorry for our commander."

"Wait...what do you mean, Washington?", asking one of the Eagle Union girl.

"I just came to the Azur Lane and I knew the first time I met him, I hate him", said Washington. "He is nothing but coward, always prioritizes defense, waiting and waiting but I...no we're stupid."

"Why we can't see him from the other perspective."

"We don't see what he saw, we don't think what he thought and we don't feel what he felt."

"We are just a small thing, compared to him."

Most of the girls are confused, failed to understand the truth behind her words.

"In that mission, we encountered Orochi and the largest creature that I have ever seen", said Washington. "While all of us are too scared to move, waiting to die...commander saved us."

"His condition is worst than we expected, but he still fought that creature while we barely lift a muscle."

"Only he fought that creature, the commander who we hate so much!!"

"We are the proud Eagle Union and we lose to a single human! Are you joking?"

They get scolded by Washington, even Cleveland just listened to her. North Carolina tried to calm her down and it took several minutes. Eventually, Essex told them the details, at least better than Washington.

"Commander is currently at Sakura Empire", said Essex after finished telling them. "Some of you may not happy to hear that but I can guarantee he is safer there."

"But, commander already gave the order and I know some of you may...."

"DON'T YOU DARE QUESTIONED HIS ORDER!!", shouted Washington.

"Alright...alright, please calm down a bit, Washington", said Cleveland. "So, what his order, Essex?"

"We are currently facing two enemies which are Orochi and that creature", said Essex. "We can't fight that creature, only commander is capable to fight it. The good news is, that creature probably not a threat for a few days. The bad news is...we can't win against that creature without commander."

"That creature is not the main problem", said Washington. "It's about Orochi that we should handle it."

"Yes, she is right", said Essex. "We should leave that creature for commander alone. Our top priority are to find and sunk Orochi."

"However, we have to wait."

"............."

"What?", asked most of them. "Why?"

"I SAID DON'T YOU DARE QUESTIONED HIS ORDER!!", shouted Washington.

"I don't know but he said we need to be prepared", said Essex. "I remember his words before he collapsed, we will see the sign that show up in the sky."

"What kind of sign?", asked Cleveland.

"I also don't know", answered Essex. "But, we will immediately know if the sign shows up."

Sakura Empire, a few days later.

"He still doesn't wake up", said Prinz Eugen while touching Kay's cheek. "It has been few days, how is this possible?"

"I don't know, Eugen", answered Zuikaku. "The injuries may be the cause but he should able to wake up, at least."

Prinz Eugen and Zuikaku have been taken care for few days while half of the fleets at Sakura Empire are participating in the mission. They are trying to kill the creature before it recovers.

They thought Kay will eventually wakes up but there is no sign that he might able to conscious again. They feel this is very odd as his injuries are healing probably thanks to his element.

"Maybe we should wait another days", said Zuikaku, trying to give Prinz Eugen some hopes. "He is the strongest, remember."

"Well, he is still human", said Prinz Eugen. "That's the reason why he get that injuries in the first place. You need to remember that, little girl. At least, if you love him."

The ignorant, still in Zuikaku's heart that she still forget that Kay is still human. She probably knew since she was the reason why Kay is badly injured.

Upon seeing Zuikaku in depress, Prinz Eugen immediately tried to comfort her. Sarcastically, I mean.

"Don't worry that much, Zuikaku", said Prinz Eugen. "I mean you are the one who caused him injured but don't think too much."

"............Uuu", sighed Zuikaku.

"If you feel bad, tried to remember and make it as a lesson for you", said Prinz Eugen. "Don't make the same mistake twice...or you will eventually regret it."

"Yes, I understand, Euegn", said Zuikaku.

"Good, now can you leave me with Kay alone?", asked Prinz Eugen, trying to change the question and hoping Zuikaku will immediately accepts it.

"NO", said Zuikaku immediately.

"Tch, yeah...yeah", said Prinz Eugen. "By the way, why there are no response from the fleets? They should at least tell us something but it's too quiet."

"They should already reached where the creature rested", said Zuikaku. "I have a bad feeling about this."

Suddenly they heard someone screaming, telling them the fleets already returned to Sakura Empire.

There is no good news and only despair waiting them. The fleets lost against that creature that still doesn't fully recover.

The reason why they didn't even heard anything from them because all the communications are damaged.

"We were very sorry, Nagato-sama", said Hiryuu. "We failed to live up your expectations and what more, we also suffered huge damage. Most of our fleets need to be repaired immediately."

Nagato saw most of her fleets are badly damaged, even she doesn't believe it. There is no way that her fleets unable to defeat that creature.

"There is no casualties but...we can't do anything against that creature", said Hiryuu. "It's liked that creature is letting us too retreat."

"That creature is toying with us", said Nagato. "Where is that creature now?"

"It still there", answered Hiryuu. "What should we do, Nagato-sama?"

"Looks liked we have no choice but to defend in our own homeland", said Nagato.

"Wait! But, that's means you will...!!", shouted Hiryuu.

"We have no other choice", said Nagato calmly. "Don't worry, I will never let that creature to destroy our homeland. If that human said is true, we are its target."

"Then, I will protected Sakura Empire until I died."
