What now?

AYDEN POV:

I woke up in an alleyway but had no idea why? I remember that I was fighting that kid with an annoying barrier ability then. Oh, now I remember. He insulted my mom and I had to get revenge. And revenge I had, I cut off his arm and he can't even get in attached back because I burned it so badly with my thunder magic. He can get it back if he pays a huge amount, but it won't work as well.

Then the host sent me here, why? I don't know. But I also didn't know what to do. The adventure exam is at least 1 week from now on and I can't do anything with the F-rank card that I'm getting tomorrow.

Maybe I'll think about that later, I haven't eaten anything for a long time so I should go eat.

I walked to the inn and sat down waiting for the lady to give me the menu. I had taken my mask off so no one would know that it was me fighting at the tournament. The lady came very fast, probably because the restaurant was completely empty expect for me.

I started eating my soup and thinking about what to do. I could go to the forest and kill monsters while waiting for the exam. But would that make any sense? I would get less money from selling them for the guild and I don't even need any materials now.

So, what should I do? More magic training? Work? No idea, I should go back to the library to study. The last tips that I got, really helped me overpower that brat.

And after eating I walked towards the library, my sword was on the side of my backpack where I could grab it when I wanted to. Mask was inside because I didn't want to anyone find it by accident.

I got to the library and found the aisle that I was looking for and where I found the book last time. I grabbed a bigger pile of books this time and started reading them.

I didn't get to finish my book when an older lady came up to me.

-Young sir, we are now closing the library, could you leave?

-I wouldn't want to but I will, if I can borrow these books.

-Hmm, I'll limit it to one.

I didn't know what book to borrow, there were five books. One was about sword aura, two were same kind as the first one that I read, fourth one was about politics. But I went with the fifth one. This was one that I had already started, and I decided before to read one of this kind and it was perfect.

-Then, I'll take this one.

The lady looked at me a little suspiciously but nodded and left. I took the books to their shelves and left. I started walking back towards the inn, and the registration table. This time there was the lady that serves me food.

-What would you want now?

She asked smiling.

-I think my reservation is ending today so I want to make it longer by at least two days. Oh, and can I get a loaf of bread also?

She smiled and nodded, she went to the kitchen, put the bread down and said.

-3 gold and five bronze.

I put one gold coin down, she gave me 6 silver and 5 bronze coins back. After taking them I walked back to my room and went to bed.

I didn't start to sleep yet. I opened my realm seemed like everything was well. Except for one thing and that was a house with a yellow man inside it. But no one noticed it. I then saw the girl that had made my symbol walk nearby.

I wanted some birds to make her notice the corpse... She first looked confused by the birds but started to follow them. After the birds got to the house, they started to peck the door to signal that something was weird inside.

Luckily the girl got the message and saw the yellow corpse. She didn't seem to smell anything, but it looked like an old one, how could she not smell it. I left the realm and wanted to search about this tomorrow.

Now it was time for the book.

Magic core theory, for fighters.

This book has really made me realize more about my core than before. I originally only knew that core had two purposes, it collected mana and made it usable for me. But this book told me that there are different kinds of cores. Ones that boost your gathering speed and some make it more pure and powerful. Then there's the basic one that I currently have.

These effects could be achieved by forming your rings in different spots. If I form a ring on my shoulder, it will increase my power in that arm and the mana will travel quicker in that point. Same thing if I put it on my thigh or head. You can make the mana more pure by making the rings smaller and putting the rest of the power to make them spin faster.

I now have eight rings so which one should I do? Or maybe even both. I think I want to make my ring spin faster. I wanted to know this now because I am now ready for my third ring. The fights helped me gain more mana and making my second ring a lot more stronger. But now it is time to add the third one.

I sat down on my bed and put my hands in the prayer that my eyes symbol, it feels the best and makes me calmer. I started to gather a huge amount of mana and I do mean huge. With this amount I could launch as big lightning to destroy my home.

But now it was time to form the ring, after the mana had been made pure for me I started to take it away from the core and shape it into a small ring. It was easy, I had done it two times before after all. But I still had about third of the mana left and I started to accelerate the ring. It was spinning faster and faster but sucking more and more mana.

But it was a lot more easier than I thought that it would be. Now I had two bigger ones to protect my core and keep the mana inside and one smaller, one that spun fast and made it more pure and powerful.

I used some lightning magic on my hands, and I could tell that it was a lot stronger, it was more bright and faster, I just upgraded it so it's still weak but soon. Its going to be a lot stronger.
