Part 2

I again waited till my mom had left. And started to crawl towards the room with a lot of books. After a month of crawling, I was a master at the sport. And took half the time as the first time.

After learning to read, It turned that the first book that I took was actually a, hmm, kind of erotic? Luckily my mom didn't find it and I could study it at peace. Learning the language wasn't that hard at all, mom read me a few books and the written language seemed to be easier than the spoken one.

They didn't remind each other at all. Written language was more german like language and with my past I could learn it easily. Sad that the one we need to speak isn't that easy. However the spoken language was completely different so it was hard.

That made learning the language fully harder. But now it was time for a real book. I was still short but that didn't matter anymore. I could climb up the shelf. I had practiced it in the living room when mom wasn't looking.

I had trained for this moment and now I was ready. Ready to learn. I started to look for a book that had anything related with history. And I saw them, two books. Other one was twice as hard as the other one. They were on the 3rd layer. So, there was about a meter to ground, luckily, they weren't on the top. This would be easy for me. I started to climb. It was easy, there was enough to stand on the shelf with the books so I could easily push them down.

They didn't drop from a big height, so they didn't make a lot of noise. The books were dusty, didn't look like they had been cleaned for years. So, I coughed and lost my balance and started to fall down. I fell slowly and could think about everything. I didn't think that this would kill me, but it would be painful. I closed my eyes are prepared for the impact.

But it didn't happen. I landed on something soft; it was my mother's arms. She caught me. She quickly took me for a hug, she had tears in her eyes and looked at me with sad eyes. It made me tear up. I started to cry. Me almost 35-year-old man, was crying in my new mom's hands.

There I decided that leaving could wait. Mom would be too sad, If I left. I had not known her even for a year but the affection and love she showed me, made me accept me as my new mother. I had been calling her that before but only for name.

I hugged my mom back and fell asleep.

I woke up and still felt the warmth that hugging my mom gave me. But I still didn't want to laze around. I only decided not to leave, I still want to learn about my new world. I crawled out and headed for the door. It's open as always. I admit that mom can be a bit careless but still great.

Door to the library was also wide open, I got there easily. I went inside and even the books were where I left them. They were heavier and larger than first one, but I managed to get them to my room. I lifted the smaller book to my bed but had to drag the heavier one with me.

Simplified history of Volusenna

I started with the bigger one. It had many pictures, logos and maps. It told me that this continent is called Volusenna. It seems to be the most peaceful continent out of the 20. There're also different races. One is humans, they dominate 13 continents. There's also Elf's and Dwarfs, Elf's dominate 2 continents, Dwarfs 3. There's also beastmen they mostly live on human continents but mostly 2 of the 13 human continents could be called beasman or demi human continents but for some reason they are human. Last two are forbidden land. Almost all of the monsters there need a B rank party to beat one of them.

And yes, there is adventures and monsters. Z is strongest and F is the weakest. But you don't need to start from F, if you can prove your skills to some judges, you can rank up instantly. And there is indeed magic. There is magic for everything that you can imagine. But only 40% of the world can use it. Half of them are adventures, 2% are civilians, less than 1% are Royals and rest are normal soldiers.

There is over 20 billion people living here and the world is almost 6x bigger than earth. Most of the space is forests and seas. There are some big cities and villages. Most people still live in the larger cities. Added to the 20 billion there is also the Elf's' and Dwarfs'. There is only 3 billion of them together. But their technology and magic are stronger.

The continents are actually like counties but I like to call the continents because the smallest ones are as big as Europe in Earth.

These are the most important things I learned about the bigger book. But there still was the other one. Now let's see what Theodre tribe is.
