Club

I was walking with Ben, looking for a club to join in. Ben was with me because weekends were free if you weren't in a club and it wasn't mandatory to join a club if you were here to serve someone. Most butlers and maids didn't join a club because they would get bullied for being here only to serve their master. If butler/maid joined a club, it was their masters. So Ben was here to see of he wanted to join my club or have weekends free.

We had already seen all kinds of clubs and all of them had about six to seven members, like:

Witches

Architects

Journalism

Cooking

War tactics.

The school had about 50 different clubs but only three of them were considered the "kings" of the clubs.

Ladies the parties

Magic beasts

Adventurers

Tea party club were all women and some of their butlers, they gathered to some place on Saturdays and gossiped about everyone, it had about 100 members. The main group gathered in the evening and the other one on the morning, each had 50 members.

Magic beasts club had about 80 members. It was made out of everyone in and older than second years. They didn't do any special gathering but held some fights among beasts. They had a community board and would ask tips and help from other members if they needed it.

Adventurers had the most members: 120. They were mostly guys but there were some tomboys with them. They also didn't do anything special, they talked about monsters but their club would gather on summer and winter breaks and go adventure during that time.

Together these clubs had more than 300 members, which was third of the whole school and about 200 weren't even in any clubs. Cubs are mandatory for only first, second and third years. Anyone older than that plus butlers and maids didn't need to join a club.

I didn't have anything special in mind, I would spend there for just three months and then probably join the magic beast club. I walked and walked but nothing interesting came up. There were clubs for gambling, games, dancing and others but none seemed interesting.

Then I saw it. A club that I could join, it had five members. three girls and two guys. One girl seemed to be my age, guys probably third years and the last girls second years.

-Is the name accurate for your club?

-Of course

-Then, may I join

-Yes, please.

I was now part of the.

Magic skill creation club.

I would not need to read anymore books and could even ask help from other people. Ben wasn't interested joining any clubs in the first place, or maybe cooking club so he went back and I asked him to check on Sophia.

-If you want to join our club, then please write this agreement.

It was a paper. It had only four things

1. Write your name

2. Write the amount of your rings

3. Write the element that you want to study

4. Agree to not tell anything about this club or its members to the outsiders.

5. If you leave this club, you forget about everything in the club.

I think that this paper is an artifact. It look very well made, I should consider writing this.

-Are there any hidden things in this?

-No

Well in the worst case I become their mindless slave... Worth the risk. I wrote everything that it asked.

1. Ayden

2. 3

3. Lightning

4. Agree

5. Agree.

The paper then burned to ashes and disappeared before my eyes. The guy grabbed something from under his table and handed it to me. It was a large book and a artifact mechanical pencil.

We will explain everything later. Come back tomorrow after lunch.

-Okay

I then turned around and went back to my dorm. I wonder what kind of things we will do at the club. Seems that it has something to do with us researching magic, well I will find about that tomorrow.

Rest of the evening I did nothing. I checked on my realm, ate, did swordsman ship training and played with Sophia.

(*(

I was waiting at were they told me to be. I had my book and artifact pencil with me and wondered about what to do. The place that I was supposed to meet with them was in the middle of a hallway. I wonder why they wanted to meet me here.

Well no matter, I'll just wait patiently and if no one comes, I'll change to the cooking club with Ben. Like someone had read my thoughts a door opened next to me. However, there wasn't a door when I last checked.

It was on of the second years.

-Wheres the other first year

-I didn't see her.

-Okay, come in.

I stepped in and she closed the door right after. I continued walking along the hallway that was behind the mystery door. Then I came to some kind of meeting room. There was a large round table with everyone sitting behind it, expect for me and the two girls.

-Take a seat.

I did as asked and took a seat right in front of me.

-Did she leave?

-Seems like it.

-Doesn't matter, let's continue.

Seems like she changed clubs already, maybe she didn't like the contract that she had to write.

-Now then, we will explain everything about the club to you.

I nodded and was interested to learn, how this club worked.

-Do you know how old school this is?

-I do now.

-At least 2000 years old. And this club has survived all that time.

Really? For two thousand years, this club has survived. That's interesting but what does it have to do with anything.

-In this club, you write everything that you find out and know about the element you study in that book. Your sensations, theories, experiments, everything. No one will know because of the contract.

Huh? Then what's the point of being here, if I have to do what I've been doing before. It's useless.

-After that, if you are a member of this club for your entire time in this school, we will edit the contract so that you can keep a copy of your book and keep your memories of your time here. The memory loss is so that you don't tell research to outsiders and if you really manage your whole school time here, then we will trust you.

Why couldn't I tell outsiders about public information that you can find in libraries?

-Do you not yet realize?

-Huh?

-The original book stays here, and even if you quit, the research will remain. The club is two thousand years old, how much information do you think that they have here?

It hit me. If for two thousand years, people in this club have improved their knowledge of this place and it stays here... The amount of information, would me immaculate.

-You finally got it. Well it was still faster than those guys.

He was pointing the two girls and the guy.

-Now then, you can enter this club from anywhere. From your room, classroom, anywhere. You don't need to worry about outsiders. The door wont let you in, if someone is in sight of what you are doing.

You can bring anything that you want to inside. The door won't let you in if you bring something harmful inside either.

-What about contract beasts?

-The door will keep an eye on you. You need to prick the wall with your pencil for it to open. The pencil has two kinds of artifacts. Infinite ink and return, so if you lose it, it will return when you ask it. No one else can use it because the door remembers your face. To access the research that you want to explore, just prick the table and an underground staircase will open, try it.

I pricked the table and like he said, a staircase opened and led downstairs, like a basement. To close it either press a button in your library or prick the table again.

I did as asked.

-You can explore it another time, it has shelves full of books like you have, a table, table lamp, a comfortable chair and a sofa. Meaning that you need to bring your own food. The books also have return enchants. Your own book will return to you but others will return to their own spots in the library. Did you understand.

-Yes, but I have one question.

-What is it?

-What is this door?

-You asked it quicker than I thought. Well door is this rooms spirit. It's the founder of this club and protects it till the end.

This "door" was the fist spirit that I had seen. Spirits were mostly invisible creatures but they could show themselves if they wanted to. Some where humanoid when some were little light balls and others were monsters.

Spirit is born from mana and to become a spirit, you need to become one with mana.

Spirits usually live in their own world but sometimes they come to this world to do stuff like "door" or do any other things that they want to. Most don't see spirits in their entire life time so most don't even believe in their existence.

That doesn't matter to me, "door" only makes my life easier and helps me improve my magic in peace.

-Alright, are there any gathering classes or something?

-No, if you have something to say to us, then leave a note on the table. And act like you don't know us in school.

-Okay, can I leave now?

-Yeah, and you can truly come back here whenever you want, just remember to take some food or water with you.

-Thank you, bye

I left the way that I came from and left by pricking the wall. I walked back to my dorm and planned about my future. I'll probably start my research on Friday or weekend. I don't want to do just two hour study session and possibly stop when I'm just getting started.

Let's see how great that club is and is it better than libraries and magic beast club.

UNKOWN POV:

-Oh lord, those people have been living in peace for over 17 years. We must start our attack now, they don't have anyone strong backing them up and we could be one step closer to conquer all the lesser worlds.

-I agree with him, lord the mountain that they live by could offer us valuable resources, like minerals and oil. Even if our magic is weak, they have no magic. We could deploy just 2 mages and those could be enough to wipe out the whole village.

-Lord, please. Their numbers are growing too quickly. They already have more people than our army, luckily they aren't trained but we must stop them.

-You are right, gather rest of the generals, those people have been living in peace for far too long. If we want to attack, then it must be done now. When they aren't expecting anything to happen...
