'Awakened beasts is surely hard to deal with in terms of time efficiency , dodging it was easy as its attacks were no different from a beast...which was logical as it was categorized as a beast'

There was clear problem that Ayanokouji understood, if he gets swarmed by dozens of such creatures , his chances of survival would be near 0 . Another problem was that, the Scavanger wouldnt be the only one to escape the rising water and many other ones would definetely appear over time .

Taking a time of momentarily rest he inspected his runes .

Summoning the memory Kiyotaka saw a crude looking monocle . Putting it on his right eye his eye seemed to exlude green hew as he was able to clearly see in the night .

Scanning the labyrinth he was able to easily identify the nightmare creatures in the distance , some of them drowning , some making their way towards high ground .

Looking at how there didnt seem to be anyone closing to him he again started inspectibg his runes, this time his Human Echo .

Asher was the name of Ascendent woman he had killed using the [Faceless] mask and war goddeses face. From all standpoint he couldnt beleive his luck . To get an Master as Echo in his first Nightmare...No human was able to achieve this feat before .

As he tried to summon her he found himself lacking...essence.

'Of course, it looks like unless i reach 1000 fragments it would be impossible for me to summon that Echo'

Feeling dissappointed from this news, he silently returned his attention towards the Carapace Scavangers in the distance .

'948 fragments towards the goal... , well..lets start by killing anyone who dares to climb up this hill'

Cassia and Nephis found themselves close to eachother as they progressed through harrowing passages of Labyrinth in search of safe place to escape from water . The Blind girl with her oracle abilities helped Nephis to find where to hide from water, while Nephis carried her around .

Their first memory of Dream Realm was them drowning in the vast night sea. By the grace of fate it happened so they were together and Nephis saved Blind Cassia from drowning to death . From that time they became close friends and gradually reached the Labyrinth .

Currently, they were navigating through crimson coral pillars of Labyrinth as they neared the the hill in the distance . Suddenly , Nephis stopped on her tracks and somberly looked at the scene before her eyes. Sensing the suddent halt and little cautiosness emanating from Nephis , Cassie askef her a question.

"Neph..why did we stop?"

Nephis didnt answer as she looked at the top of the hill . There, a young Sleeper mediated on top of the dozens of Scavanger corpses. His red tunuc turning to the shade of dark due to the blood of his slain opponents, the blood red sword still thrusted to the head of Scavanger unser him , his brown messy hair fluttering from wind . It was mesmerrising and equally harrowing sight .

As if sensing her gaze on him, the young sleeper oppened his golden emotionless eyes and looked directly at her .
