chapter 2: Awerkoks POV (beginning of chapter 5)
Awerkok sat in the park alone waiting for the person who had texted him, Awerkok hadn't heard from the boy all day and wondered why.
Walking past the swings a girl came into view, Awerkok quickly got up and ran to her.
"Hey what's your name?" Asked the girl curiously.
"uhhhh... Awkerok..." Replied Awerkok shyly.
"That's a cool name I've never seen anyone named Awkerok before, I think we should hangout sometime" said the girl
"alright" replied Awerkok
"So... what brings you out here, its kinda boring here without people around" she replied
"I guess I just got tired of my room... it's quiet in there" Explained Awerkok
"Well how about when you leave you come find me? So we can hangout together" Suggested the girl.
"Okay" Said Awerkok
"cool it's about d8 hour now, so I'll see you tomorrow" said the girl.
"See you then..." Said Awerkok shyly
As Awerkok was walking away from the girl a small voice caught his attention, it sounded like someone was crying but it was so faint that it could easily be misinterpreted.
A few seconds later he heard another cry and he knew that it couldn't be misheard, so without any hesitation he headed to where he heard the sound, Awerkok stopped once he reached a clearing of trees, he saw two kids sitting on the ground hugging each other. After a few seconds the first kid looked up and saw Awerkok looking at them and quickly wiped his tears off and smiled widely.
The second kid lifted his head and saw Awerkok and then he smiled even bigger.
"Hey hey! What's your name?" Asked the little boy,
"oh umm.. um its Awerkok but my friend Alex calls me Awk" Answered Awerkok
"my name's Naeck but Alex is my brother" said the boy
"oh I'm pretty sure he told me to look out for you" said Awerkok laughing
"oh no he didn't mean it like that! He was just being silly but I appreciate your concern though" Said Naeck.
"are you okay?" Inquired Naeck looking up at the older boy.
"yeah im fine I uh just forgot to eat something today" Said Awerkok.
"you should still eat" Warned the younger boy standing up and offering Awerkok his hand, "come on I'm gonna take you home"
"but your family isn't home" Said Awerkok taking Naecks hand.
"yeah but they're gonna be really worried if I don't bring you home" He said pulling Awerkoks arm with him as he walked back to the house.
The two made their way back to the house which was a couple blocks away. As the two walked back to the house the sun set setting behind the clouds giving off beautiful light colors along with the sunset. As the two neared home a bright pink aura surrounded the duo causing Awerkok to flinch a little bit but he still held onto Naecks hand as the two finally got home.
The moment they stepped foot inside the house they were attacked by hugs from both of their siblings, Awerkok let go of Naecks hand and hugged all three of them, Alex and his mom hugged him too and they began talking about how he looked and talked.
Once everyone had let go Awerkok made his way upstairs to his room and closed the door before flopping down on the bed. He sighed and laid in the bed listening to his brothers yelling and laughing downstairs while his mother went to yell at them to knock it off or something.
