1 Chapter 1

Scene: you the reader hears someone say "that's how I became the number hero, at least that's how that damn nerd would put it" Then all these memories start to come back to you, so then you space out but still walking. These memories that fill your head are about how you and everyone else in your class graduate UA and how everyone became heroes. Then you think about how Grand Torino died peacefully. After thinking of that, one of the worst memories comes to you. That was the memory of the saddest day the world experiences, all-might passes away because of his injury from All For One. All-might had gotten worse and he didn't tell anyone about it.

Present day:

You are still walking and then out of nowhere you run into someone "Oh, I'm so sorry, sir. I was spaced out and I didn't mean to run straight into you" you say. "It's ok. I was visiting a friend and I wasn't paying attention as well" the young man says, as he helps you pick up the flowers you had in your hands. "Are you sure I didn't hurt you, I ran into you pretty hard" you ask while finishing picking up the last few flowers off the ground. " I'm ok, believe me. I've felt a lot worse things" he says as he smells the flowers. You look up to see this handsome man staring at you "A-are you s-sure you're ok?" you ask nervously. He nods and says "Yes I'm ok. May I ask why so many flowers?"

You look at him but you're blushing "I'm visiting a few people today" you pause and continue to say "May I ask you something" you ask him still blushing a little. "Yes of course" he tells you with an odd look on his face. Then you realized you didn't introduce yourself to this handsome guy. "Oh I'm Y/F/N and you are" you asked him. He looks away from you and says his name "I'm Katsuki Bakugo" you didn't realize at first that it was him. When you look at him after realizing who he was and after him says his name, you fall to the ground with tears in your eyes.

Bakugo tries to catch you before you hit the ground but couldn't catch you in time. "Are you ok Y/N?" He asks with a shaky tone in his voice. "Yes" you reply and you continue to ask him "Were you the one talking earlier?" You ask him. He falls to his knees right in front of you "Yes, that was me. I finally got the time to come see my friend, who died a few years ago." You look at him and see the hurt in his face. "May I ask who you came to see?" You ask him knowing who he came to see. "I always called him by his stupid hero name" he paused for a few minutes "Which was DEKU" he said as he started to cry.

After he tells you that you stare at him knowing who he is and knowing how he feels. "Do you know who I am Bakugo?" you ask him? He looks at you and then to the ground "Yes I know who you are, you're Deku's love" he says with the saddest tone in his voice. You grabbed his hand and held it "He didn't tell you everything about us did he?" you ask him. Bakugo looks at you and asks "What do you mean?" You tell him that Deku and you were to marry the week after he died and that was supposed to ask him something that day. "Didn't he give you an invite?" You ask him with a concerned face. Bakugo looks at you with tears running down his face. "Deku gave me something that day but I didn't open it. Cause all of us were about to battle against LOV 2.0 and then he asked me to be his best man, right before we left." he tells you.

You ask him about the battle that day, but he doesn't say anything back that. You look at him and say "You want to know what he said that morning before he left?" Bakugo looks at you "Yes, I want to know'' he says. You looked at him still holding his hand "He said that morning before the battle, that he was going to protect his friends, family and everyone in the world for LOV 2.0 cause I'm the number 1 hero and I protect all.'' you say to him. Then you take your other hand to pick up his chin. "It's not your fault or any of the other heroes that were there fighting. You all did your best and I knew Deku wouldn't want any of you to think it was anyone's fault" you tell him. Bakugo stares at you crying harder then before "Why did he fucking jump in front of us? We could have handled it." he asks you. "Bakugo, that's who he was, he wanted his friends to be safe" you tell him softly.

Bakugo starts to pick up the flowers and begins to say "We could have handled it, us four didn't have a special person at home waiting for us. He did and now your" he says as he hands you the flowers he already picked up. You take the flowers from him and say " bakugo, please don't think it was your fault. I don't blame you or any of the other heroes. That was just who he was." Bakugo gets up and helps you, then he yells " well you should fucking blame me. I should have done more, I should have stopped him, but I was weak!" Then he says "It should have been me that died that day, but it wasn't it was him and he had the fucking nerve to give me his power before he died and I passed out"

"Deku loved his friends, me and everyone. He wanted you and everyone else to live" you say to him and you both start walking to deku's grave. You are walking in silence until you come to deku grave. "Bakugo I could never blame you. You fought hard and you and the others ended up in the hospital" you tell him. Bakugo is walking ahead of you but stops walking and looks back at you. You notice a tear rolling down this cheek "How did you know I was in the hospital?" he asked you. You walk up to him and you place your head on his cheek "I visited you, Kiri, Shinso and Shoto while you all were still injured. You didn't see me cause you were still in a coma" you tell him. Bakugo looks at you in shock "Why did you come see us?" he asks. "Because I knew he would have done the same" you tell him as you take your hand away from his cheek.

After saying that you and bakugo start to walk again. The both of you walk in the silence again and then you come to deku's grave. Bakugo asks you if you would want some time alone with him to talk. You tell bakugo he doesn't need to leave and then you wanted him to stay. Bakugo stands next to you and listens to you as you talk to him. "Hi honey, look who I ran into'' you say as you giggle a bit. "They literally ran into me" bakugo says as he smiles a little. "Me and bakugo got to talking and things like that'' you say as bakugo looks away. "Everyone misses you and loves you. I brought some flowers for you, all-might and Grand Torino'' you tell him. "I visited Kiri in the hospital yesterday and he's doing well but still has no memory of what happened" you tell him as you put the flowers on his grave. After saying your goodbyes to midoriya, you look at bakugo "Do you mind coming with me to the others graves?" you ask him. "I was going to anyways" he tells you as you both start walking to the other graves. You and bakugo come to all-might grave and then to Grand Torino grave, you both say a few things to both of them.

An hour later you get done visiting, placing flowers on each grave and telling them the news of the day. "Bakugo, you don't need to stay with me the whole time you know" you tell him. Bakugo looks at you " Y/N, I didn't do it cuz I had to" he said. You smile at him "Why did you stay this whole time? Don't you have to be at work or at home with your special person?" you ask him out of curiosity. He looks away from you and says "No I don't have to work, I'm not able to just yet and I don't have a special person at home." You looked at him in shock. A handsome guy like this still single and still can't go back to pro hero work.

You walk over to him and grab his arm "May I ask you something?" you ask. He looks at you slightly blushing " W-what's your q-question?" he asks. You wrap your arms around his and you both start walking "Why did it take you 2 years to come see him?" you ask. He stops walking and looks at you "I couldn't face seeing his special person in tears cause I was the one that is still alive" he manages to say but in a sad time in his voice. After he says that you both start walking again, and he continues to say "I'm so sorry I didn't visit earlier then this." You didn't say anything after he said that, you wanted to ask him about the battle but he didn't answer earlier when you asked. So you didn't ask and just kept on walking in silence.

Bakugo looks at you "Is there something on your mind Y/N?" he asks you. "Umm, I wanted to know more about what happened that day, but I understand if you don't want to talk about it" you tell him with a nervous tone. You and bakugo keep walking til you make it to the front grate. Bakugo looks at you and says "I'll tell you some other time, but can I ask you something Y/N?" You look up at him "Yes, you can me anything" you tell him. "Will you come with me to get some coffee or something like that? I-if that's not too bold of me to ask" he asks with a flustered look on his face. "I would love to" you say with a little smile. "O-okay then let's go then" he says with a nervous tone in his voice. Bakugo and you start walking to the nearest coffee shop. The both of you don't talk on the way there. A few blocks later "well here we are, they have the best coffee around here" you tell him. He looks at the place "Okay then, it looks pretty run down. Are you sure this is a coffee shop?" he asks you. You giggle at him "Yes it is most definitely a coffee shop, I come here every time I go see, well you know" you tell him as you look away.

You reach for the door a moment later, but Bakugo pulls your hand away. You look at him confused and a little scared, "What is the matter? is there something wrong?" you ask him nervously. He opens the door for you and says "You should never have to open the door, when there is a man with you." He blushes and continues to say "Not with you, with you, tch and stop looking at me like that." You just smile at him "Look at you now" you tease him, as you start to blush a bit yourself. Then you walk into the coffee shop.

The man behind the bar "Welcome, I'll be right with you" he says. "That's fine, take your time, sir" you reply back. Bakugo looks around for a good spot to sit. "Let's sit here" you say as you walk over to the table next to the window. "This is my favorite spot in the whole shop cause of the view" you say as you are taking a seat, while looking out the window. The waiter walks over to you and bakugo's table "It's a great view of the mountains huh?" he asks. You turn around and look at him and say "Yes, yes it is. This is one of the reasons I love coming here" The waiter gets his book out to take your order. "So what can I get you two today?" he asks. Bakugo looks at him, " Just coffee with a lot of sugar and a little cream."

You look at him in shock. "What? did I say something wrong?" he asks. "No, I just thought you would take your coffee black" you say to him. You look back at the waiter "I'll have the same, thank you" you say to the waiter. As the waiter writes down your orders he says "You're welcome and I'll get that right out for you." Then he walks away to get your orders. As you and bakugo are waiting he looks out the window and says "We have something else in common." You look at him to see that he is blushing, then you start to blushs a bit yourself. The waiter comes back with your order "Here you go and if you don't mind me saying, you two look great together" he says and walks away. You look at Bakugo and then you quickly look out the window hoping that he didn't notice that you were flustered , after the waiter said that. You looked back at him for a moment and noticed that he was blushing. "Tch, that dumbass doesn't know what he's talking about" he says as he looks away. "Ummm Bakugo'' you say nervously. "Yes, Y/N what is it?'' he says as he is still looking out the window.

You grab his hand, while you do he looks at you weirdly. "It's been a few years now" you say. "Yea" he saids very quickly. "We both are single right" you ask him? You start to blush and get really nervous because you're scared of what he would say and think about you after asking him this question. So you start to ask him but he says "Y/n I think I know what you're going to ask." You get even more nervous "Y-you do?" you say. Bakugo looks deep into your eyes and says "Yes I do." You pull your hand away from his "You want to know why I'm still single, right?" he asks. You sigh with relief "Y-yeah that's what I was going to say" you manage to say. He looks out the window "Do you really want to know?" he asks. You take a deep breath and grab his hand once again "Y-yes I do want to know. You shouldn't be alone" you tell him. He looks back at you but with tears in his eyes "the reason I've been alone all these years" he pauses to get caught his breath. Then continues to says "cause my best friend took the only person I've ever loved." You are still looking at him but now you have tears in your eyes, and wondering who he's talking about. "I'm so sorry bakugo" you tell him trying to hold back the tears.

"Who was this best friend?" you ask him thinking back to the days of being in school and remembering that Kiri was his friend, at least the only person you saw him hangout with. "You sure you are a dummy." he said with a smirk on his face. You looked up at him confused "What do you mean by that" you ask him? "It may not seem like it but we were best friends" he says looking out the window again. "Bakugo, who are you talking about?" you ask him with a frustrated tone. He looks back to you. "Deku is the best friend I'm talking about." He says with tears running down his face.

Then it hits you that he was talking about you, you were the one he was talking about. He gets up, walks over to you with his chair in hand and sits next to you. You look at him crying even harder "why didn't you tell me and how long have you felt like this?'' You ask. He tries to go in for a hug but you push him away. He looks at you "I've loved you since that first day of high school" he pauses with a tear falling down his cheek and continue to say "I didn't tell you cause I was scared to ask you out, I thought you would turn me down"

You are shocked and don't know what to say but you managed to find your voice "You're a dumbass." you tell him. He looks at you shocked and confused. "I had a crush on you back then and I wanted to ask you out so many times but every time I got brave enough, there was always a girl around you or you were with Kiri." you let him. Bakugo looks at you still in shock. "Then why did you go out with that damn Deku after high school?" he asks. You sit there for a few mins thinking, then you sigh "He asked me out a few days before we graduated" you say as you pause to take a breath "He had a crush on me, like you all through high school" you tell him. "That doesn't tell me why him?" he asks. "Cause he was braver than us and I had a little crush on him, too" you tell him.

He looks away from you and says "That damn Deku, he knew I liked you and that I wanted you to be mine." You look at him in shock and think back to the days in school. Deku never told you that Bakugo was in love with you. "He never told me'' you tell him. He looks at you and grabs your hand "Of course he didn't, he knew I would steal you away from him anyway I could" he says with a smirk on his face. You giggle and then you smile at him "So what does this mean for us" you ask him hoping that he'll ask you out this time around. Hetakes your hand and puts it on his chest. You start to get flustered, then your heart begins to race. "You feel that?" he asks you with a smile on his face. "Yes" you tell him, hoping that he doesn't feel your heart racing. "This is what you do to me, everytime I'm close to you" he pauses to catch his breath and continues to say. " Y/N, I have always loved you from that first day I saw you walk into class all those years ago." You look at him wondering what he's going to say next. "Y/N, will you stay with me and make my heart race every day of every hour for the rest of our lives?" he asks.

Your heart skips a beat, while you're trying to hold back those tears that you were trying to hold back. Then you finally manage to find your voice "Y-yes. I'll be yours" you say. You notice that he was looking at you differently, his eyes were full of love and compassion "I was hoping that you would say that" he says as he gets out of his chair to move his chair closer to you. You jump out of your seat and into his arms "It took you long enough" you tell him as you let out a giggle into his big strong chest, but you're still crying happy tears.
