Awakening the Ancestors

Ancestral spirits drenched the world in blood 1000 years ago, forcing people to choose between death and turning to ancestral spirits. Chapter 3: Awakening

Any one of you should sacrifice yourself.

"What the hell!" a girl yelled.

"I cannot sacrifice myself for just a relic," she said.

"Me neither," another guy voiced in.

"What about you Tahara, want to leave?" Akihiro asked.

Tahara didn't respond as Akihiro looked into Tahara's eyes.

"The look on your face tells me that you are not planning on giving up," Akihiro said.

"I'll retrieve that relic and sell it whether it costs me my life or not," Tahara said.

Tahara then yelled at the relic saying that he isn't leaving until he gets what he wants and sells it.

Akihiro stood beside Tahara and spoke the same thing as Tahara said.

Muto didn't know whether to leave or stay.

"I'm sorry Mr. Akihiro, Tahara, but I don't plan on continuing the journey anymore," Muto said as she turned away from him.

"No need to apologize, Muto, besides, once I make it out alive, I'll treat you something," Tahara said.

"Is this your goodbye wish?" Akihiro asked.

Tahara smiled and then turned away from Muto and looked at the relic.

As soon as he looked at the relic, a magic door appeared out of nowhere and opened on its own.

"Where does this door leads to?" Tahara asked.

"I have no idea," Akihiro replied.

Tahara looked at the relic who is now a statue as it pointed towards the door.

Tahara had no other option than to allow Muto and the rest to pass through the door.

As soon as everyone passed through the door, it shut and then disappeared.

A table was then formed out of the stones and then eight torches were lit before them.

"What with this table?" Akihiro asked.

Soon, the statues that were guarding the throne began to crack one after the other.

"What's going on?" Tahara asked.

A stone then hit Tahara on the head as he bent down to pick it up.

The Last one standing wins.

"What do they mean by the last one standing," Tahara asked.

Tahara turned and noticed that the last two creators of the town were once they were coming to face.

"I can't fight these guys," Tahara said to Akihito.

"Even though you are the weakest one in our group, it doesn't mean you should give up by force," Akihito said.

Before Tahara could pull out his sword, Akihito was stabbed by one of the creators of the town.

"It appears you are the last man standing," Akihito said.

"Good luck Tahara," he said as he fell to the ground.

The relic that is now the statue rose from his feet and then stabbed Tahara.

"You bitch!" Tahara said as he slowly fell to the ground.

"I shouldn't have chased after that 'star'," Tahara said to himself.

"Muto, Akihito, everyone, I failed," he said.

Alarm

Congratulations! You are The Last Man Standing.

"What's this?" Tahara

[Alarm]

[Congratulations! You are The Last Man Standing.]

"Did it just say I survived?" Tahara asked himself.

"Besides, where I'm I receiving this alarm/notification from?" he asked.

[Tahara Kado, do you want to master swordsmanship]

[Yes/No]

"What, do I even have the right to accept or decline?" he questioned himself.

"This is the opportunity I've been waiting for," Tahara said.

"I have no choice then," he let out.

"I accept," Tahara said in a weak voice

[Welcome swordsman]

After this, the relic which was now a statue began to transfer all of its power to Tahara.

[Note]

[Most of the power comes in levels so you have to fight to rise to higher levels.]

"I h-have to f-fight for i-it," Tahara said as his hands were shaking.

"This is it, a new beginning," Tahara said.

Soon memories began to flood through Tahara as he was seeing blurry images of a strange man with a sword and some human-like spirits standing in front of the man.

"Who is that?" he asked.

[Alarm]

[You have awakened your ancestor]

"Awakened my Ancestor!" Tahara said then he blacked out.
