24 Given assignment

Myalis's fireball engulfed the entire iron target, and the teacher stood there staring at her as the fire grew hotter. She noticed that parts of the iron began melting, and the teacher gasped. Myalis clenched her right fist, and the fire vanished, and the teacher scoffed.

"That was quite intense, your flames, it's strong, so you need to learn to control the heat as well, the amount that's given off in an attack because if you don't, while in a fight, you may just intend to hurt someone and end up killing them, do you understand, Seraphina?" The teacher asked and Myalis looked at the palm of both of her hands before returning her attention to the teacher.

"I understand," She responded and the woman smiled at her.

"Good, now, the others may take their turns," She said and the other students began showing how strong their flames were.

After a while, they all finished and Myalis looked at the teacher as she began writing something in a book, Myalis sighed as she held onto her stomach, feeling hungry.

"Now, your assignments will be to work more on control and create an attack that works both of just harming, not killing, and one that's deadly, do it according to your skills, our job at this academy is to prepare you for the future, to push you to the best we can, help you master your abilities if possible, I want you to do different research on your fire ability as well, learn about the form, do you understand?" The woman asked.

"Yes, ma'am," They responded and she chuckled.

"All right, you guys head back to your classrooms, you have another class, good luck, I will see you all in the next class quite soon," She said before leaving and Myalis smiled.

'I wonder how many forms of my abilities, I will be able to master,' She thought before going back to her classroom.

Myalis sat down after arriving in her class and drank a bit of water from her bottle and a few minutes later, the next teacher came in to teach them and they took out their notebooks to start writing.

Later that day, once their classes were officially over and it was time for them to go home, Myalis left the building and summon Aster before the academy's gate and the students were startled after seeing the creature.

"Hey, let's go home," Myalis said as she patted him on the head when she heard someone calling out her name, she turned around and saw that it was Yuna and she smiled at the girl.

"Yuna," She said and Yuna left staring at the creature with a nervous look on her face.

"Relax, he is not going to harm you, what's the matter, Yuna?" Myalis asked.

"Can you go with me to a place tonight? You are new in this city right?" She asked and Myalis smiled.

"Yeah, I am new, I feel like getting some fresh air, where do you want to go though?" Myalias asked.

"You will see, where do you live?" She asked.

"On the island just outside the city," She responded and Yuna smiled.

"All right, I will be there at seven tonight, see ya," She said before rushing off and Myalis exhaled deeply before getting onto Aster.

'Some people are just weird, we are friends now, but where does she want to go so badly?' Myalis thought as Aster flew off and she braced her head against his back, feeling a bit sleepy.

Upon arriving back at the island, Myalis got off of Aster and went to the kitchen where she grabbed something to eat, then went to where the others whom were sitting in another pavilion near the beach.

"Hey guys," She said and Calris looked at her and smiled as she approached them.

"Myalis, welcome back, how was your day at the academy?" Calris asked and she exhaled deeply before sitting down with them.

"It was good, I learned a lot, also have an assignment to do, want to hear about it?" She asked and he chuckled.

"Sure, maybe I can help," He responded and she nodded.

Myalis began telling him everything that the teacher said to them, including what she gave them for the assignment and Calris chuckled.

He knew the reason why the teachers are being a bit tough on the student and it was necessary if they wanted to learn to master their abilities.

"So you planning on mastering the arts of the flames?" He asked and she chuckled.

"I want to master all that I can," She responded and he smiled at her then got up and patted her on the shoulder.

"All right, if that's what you want then we should get to training," He said as she ate then stood up and nodded.

"Oh, I will be going out tonight at seven," She replied and they looked at her.

"With whom?" Lilian asked and Myalis glanced at her as their youngest child sneezed, since he had the ability to use wind, his sneeze was strong and sent him crashing into the roof and they burst out laughing as Calris caught him in his arms and then patted him on the head.

"With a friend, she kind of insisted, didn't give me much of a chance to say anything else," Myalis responded and Lilian chuckled.

"She didn't give you a chance to talk any further so you won't be able to refuse, it's a classic move," Lilian said and Myalis laughed.

"All right, I will get to training and then I will get dressed," She replied and Lilian nodded, then Myalis went to train with Calris and the others while Lilian relaxed and took care of the kids who didn't cause her much problem even though they fought with each other a lot.

Later that day, after night fell and it was nearing seven and Myalis was already ready, waiting for the girl to arrive.

After a bit of waiting, she heard someone calling out her name and she went out to the front lawn and saw that Yuna had arrived and the girl smiled as she approached Nessa.
