17 Marriage Registration Ceremony (1)

The immaculately dressed couple walked to the airship. Everybody who saw them was starstruck! They looked like a match made in Heaven! As they boarded, the pilot was hit with beauty! But years of training have made him sensible. He didn't look at Madam for more than a few seconds, bowed and greeted them politely, and then went into the pilot cubicle.

The Pilot was a squirrel beast. He was fast and sharp. But he was a face con. Looking at his Chief and Madam, all decked up had shot an arrow through his core! Ahh! He wanted to shout and embrace his chief for a moment. They looked so ethereal! Ahh! The sweetness was hard to bear alone! He couldn't wait to fly them to the ceremony! He wanted everyone to see these beauties! Recovering from the beauty attack, he skillfully maneuvered the ship in the direction of the ceremony.

He kept on appreciating his chief and Madam internally.

Within a quarter of an hour, they reached their destination. Andrew was waiting at the entrance to greet them. When they descended, for a moment, Andrew couldn't recognize them! They looked so pretty! He was more professional than the pilot. He sportingly complimented them and then took them inside.

This was the first time he had seen his chief sporting formal wear. Most of the time, it was either the army uniform or a black and white combination. But, he must agree, his chief looked especially pleasing when he donned the royal blue color. And Madam! She looked like a Goddess!

They were neither late nor early. The excited people were already crowding the floor. When Adrian made his appearance with Arella, all eyes shifted towards them, and a silence covered the entire area.

The music kept playing, but everybody just stopped and looked at the couple in a trance. The majority of the people were from lower and middle strata, they hadn't seen Adrian yet. Although they knew Arella, today, she looked exceptionally pretty. So, people couldn't recognize her at a glance.

The couple, without paying any heed to the admirable furtive glances, made their way to the registration office.

When their silhouette couldn't be seen, a heated discussion erupted among the crowd. Everybody wanted to know who the heavenly couple was! The ladies paid more attention to Arella's dress. And some of them claimed that this was from the personal collection of the Best fashion designer on their planet!

The fashion following people informed the less awakened people. They mentioned that it was nearly impossible to afford a dress from the top designer's personal collection. This was so because it was rumored to have taken almost ten years to craft one dress!

Everything in that dress was imported from other planets! The stones were crafted from the scales of mermaids, and the fabric was soaked in the spiritual fountain for over a year to receive its luster! Even a little stone on that dress was worth millions!

Listening to the words, people couldn't help but feel jealous of that lady! But they had to admit, her looks were at par with the dress. Even such an expensive dress couldn't hide her beauty. Instead, it complimented her. Some people were of the notion that such a Goddess deserved that dress!

Unaware of the ruckus and the wave of jealousy, Arella was busy getting her marriage photograph clicked with Adrian. Both of them complimented each other. They were both tall and had beautiful features. Even the elderly, broody photographer rewarded them with a smile.

Soon, they were done with the procedures and each received a gold plated letter, with bold letters: 'Adrian Scott and Arella Williams, are hereby declared to be married for life.'

It was just a certificate but its weight was too heavy. With the stamps, they were officially recognized as a legal couple. People who took steps to harm their married life would be punishable under the law.

Before Arella could feel emotional about it, a wave of congratulations drowned her. The ball was about to start. Looks like they were the last couple to register.

The ball was just starting. It would have an opening speech from the sponsors promoting their products first. Overall, it was a boring part that could be skipped. So, Arella excused herself and went to the washroom.

In the washroom, while she was washing her hands, a familiar voice enveloped her.

"Oh! Look who's here! Well, well, my dear sister. I thought you would be crying in the background. But look at you! You found a golden thigh and kicked your childhood sweetheart aside! How heartless!"

Stella, her half sister was here. And with her stood two women. Stella had recognized her at a glance. She thought she would be down and sad, but who would have thought that she would make such a high profile entrance, stealing her thunder! It was her, who should have been discussed by the crowds!

Why was everybody talking about Arella? The more attention Arella got, the more Stella wanted to trample her! She successfully snatched her childhood sweetheart. Stella believed that everything good should belong to her. Only she had the right to receive admiration from others!

That is why, when she saw Arella making her way to the washroom, she could not stop herself from following her and venting out a little bit. Arella was always a pushover. No matter how badly she was bullied, she never complained. Even if she did, nobody took her seriously. Therefore, Stella developed a sense of superiority and kept on bullying her.

Stella didn't forget to take along two of her lackeys to increase her firepower.

"Look everybody, see what a gold digger looks like. When Luke saw her true face he left her. But now, look at her! She found a bigger golden thigh! Tsk, tsk, how can somebody be so greedy?" Stella mocked her in front of the lackeys.

But Arella maintained a calm front. She wasn't incensed at all. She had long known that the more she reacted, the greater kick Stella received in bullying her

"Sister, I know you have a low aptitude. But this is not the way! If you want glory and money, you earn it yourself. Why be happy of the borrowed respect?"

"Stella, stop creating a scene. This is not William's mansion, where you can whine and create a mess. Let go!" Arella didn't want to stoop down to her level.

For an eternity, she has tried to put up with Stella. Whatever was hers, was coveted and snatched by Stella. Everybody in William's mansion supported her. It began with clothes, books, and jewelry. She always thought that it was Stella's immaturity. Once she grew up, she would understand. But never in the wildest dream had she imagined that Stella would be bold enough to snatch her fiance too!

She had shown enough patience with her nuances. And now, she didn't have any more energy to put up with her whining.

She just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
